- lunch with friends
- iPlayer - started watching Outrageous - I really like Nancy Mitford's writing so interesting to find out more about the family she grew up in
- after a week away, lovely to get back to the piano
- RSNO choir - missed last week so a bit of sight reading for me and will defo need to practise, but we have a week off for 1/2 term
- and, with all this rain, a very welcome lift home from a neighbour who also happens to have been DS's first primary school teacher so she's always interested in hearing how the children are getting on

Me again.
Some recent pleasures:
- Today we had some sunshine - hooray! Literally for 10 minutes but it was there all the same. Then it rained…
- Finally put back to rights after the decorating. Really pleased with the quality of work and attention to detail but very glad to get back to normal albeit it brighter and fresher,
- My MRI scan is done. Not the nicest experience but thanks to expert advice here I breathed through it and it was over quite quickly.
- Amazing footage from the Winter Olympics. As someone who can fall over at the sight of a patch of ice on a pavement I am totally in awe.
- Have ordered a bamboo mattress topper and duvet, hoping they will help me sleep better. Going through a phase of really not sleeping very well. not like me and I dont like it!
Hope you've all had a good day and are not affected by the flooding. We have snow forecast by Friday just to break uo the monotony a bit.

For yesterday,
DSS was up and gone by just after 6am, it’s been lovely having him here.
Capt S had the day off so rest of morning was spent chatting and doing our jigsaw puzzle.
Went to the yard, quite mild by this point and the sun come out. We breathed it in and dreamt of spring.
A made up thingy for tea with leftover chicken, leeks, mushroom and rice, tasty but doubt I could replicate it!
Caught up on Silent Witness.

morning all 😊
Enjoying life by the seaside. Sister visited on Saturday, it was a rainy, grey day but we made the most of it and went to two garden centres, one for a cheese scone and one for a late lunch 🤣 we did buy a couple of plants as well!
The sun came out for a few hours on Sunday morning so OH and I made the most of it with a walk by the sea and sat with the sun on our faces with a coffee (him) and an 🍦 (me). It was lovely watching the sun on the sea, just what I had dreamed of doing before we moved here 😊Monday we went shopping to the big Asda ( new to me) and got a bargain £12 Valentine’s Day meal deal. Tuesday I went swimming and managed 32 lengths. Yesterday it was back to near old home town, hygienist ☹️ and meet up lunch at a garden centre with an old friend and OH had brunch with his mate and sister.
Today is swimming and tonight we’re going to local theatre to see Some Guys Have All the Luck, a Rod Stewart based musical we saw years ago in London.Best wishes to all, have a good day 😊

Now see if I don’t write everyday then I don’t remember!
And how lazy have I been that I couldn’t take my iPad downstairs to charge for 2 whole days!
Anyway Tuesday was walk at CP and then picked up The Pup. DD2 came for tea.
Yesterday I was working in the morning taking a service.
Home and then quick change and then out to meet a friend for afternoon tea. Had a lovely catch up.
Didn’t need dinner. And today I was working in the morning meeting a new family. And have sat from late afternoon and wrote and wrote and just sent off my words. So I await…
Been cold and damp. Not been sleeping at all well. Dog has been okay, no more sickness. And from tomorrow will be back on his full normal diet.

Happycas please can I have details of the compression gloves too.
Not posted this week yet so a few from the week.
- It was a non working Monday- always good and there were enough dry spells to spend time in the garden weeding and pruning. I love spending time out there.
- Quiz night on Monday with DS1 and DIL. We came 4th which was good. It’s a fun evening and we never expect to win.
- Work has been reasonable- problems with Wednesday’s still but manager’s response is sort it out yourself as she dislikes confrontation. Let’s see how that goes.
- Impressed with hospital security and site manager. A man got on the bus with blood soaked bandages round his head and torn clothing. He was worse for wear with drink and probably concussion. Security were called and they calmly took him to A and E. I had tried to speak with him but didn’t get anywhere and no one else helped.
- Helping a boy - he must have been 11 and was carrying books, sandwich and phone as they had fallen out of his rucksack. He was dropping everything too. Helped put things back in his rucksack before the bus came.
- Having students at work who want to learn - doesn’t happen often that they all want to.

- The 2 colleagues who were teaching 10 - 1 were both ill (sickness bug going round) - the good bit was I was able to pull together my session I would have done in 3 weeks' time and deliver. For the 'wicked problem' I did the shorter talk from India and we had a lively discussion about AI
- Excellent named lecture on Pain. Fascinating.
- Very tasty sweet potato stew for lunch (I made it before I went away and froze some yippee)
- Coffee and catch-up with colleague then got AI to draft a couple of difficult emails - it did a very good job and I was able to edit and send off
- Then gave another talk, this time on AI and gender - another lively discussion ensued
Jet lag had set in by then so called off choir and crawled into bed!
