- Trains all ok.
- Went to a free food exhibition at the science museum which was very interesting. Then had a look round the medicine exhibition. We both enjoyed it.
- Walk back to the station - long walk but remained dry.
- Stopped for a coffee and cake.

Up early. No more vomiting dog…but I had to go to supermarket at 6.15am to get chicken!
Went out a mid morning wander. We went up to castle where we used to go. Lots of snowdrops.
Picked up a friend and we went to an appointment together. Then had a wee drive around some old haunts.
Was just home and friend popped by so had a nice chatter for an hour or so…just in time for my baked potato to cook!Enjoyed that and the last of the daylight.

For yesterday,
Trip into horsey town for food shop and a quick coffee with my friend.
A rare dry day so washing out on the line, didn’t completely dry but a good start.
Spending time with the beautiful grey one, bit of work then a long groom to get rid of those pesky itchy spots.
Made a chicken casserole with dumplings for tea, dished up three plates because…..
Youngest DSS arrived at 8, he is staying over for a couple of days, C dog was delighted to have a nighttime visitor!

Good afternoon. Gosh,it's dark! So dark that our dusk to dawn light on the drive is on nearly all day.
DFV - thank you as always. Your posts are legendary.
Recently.
Managed to get a doctor's appointment. Never been easy but now we have to do battle with AI virtual receptionist Emma ( why give it a name?) I fell at the first hurdle because Emma can't hear speakerphone and it seems my Bluetooth hearing aids fit into that category. Then we had an on-line chat. Then she texted me. Then I rang her without hearing aids, struggling but managed. At last, an appointment. I'm just glad I wasn't a mother with a very poorly infant. Or someone even less tech savvy than me.
Watching Silent Witness again. Though last night there was more hiding behind a cushion than watching. Glad Jack has got rid of the Demon King beard though.
Carbonara for tea using the last of the Christmas ham.
Used a £5 H&B voucher to get honey. A treat.
Bought some compression gloves for my arthritis hands. It does seem to help especially when I'm sewing etc. I only need the right hand though so I'm on the look out for someone with arthritis in their left hand!
Happy grey day everyone

Totally engrossed in the winter Olympic curling, so happy Sweden got it, so well deserved.
I had a second interview today, in person.
Easy dinner tonight of chicken bits and a slice of HM pizza.
The animals all coming for cuddles, very sweet today.
Admiring the beds of crocus' out, and there are plenty in the garden, but they get ferret trampled.

Happycas, can I ask where you get the gloves from, I've looked at versus arthritis but I'm not sure.

For yesterday,
Seeing C dog’s joy as she realised that DSS had stayed overnight and was coming down the stairs, nearly wagged her tail off!
Went to the yard in the morning, moved a bale of meadow hay over to our pallet and gave girlie a slice to supplement her other food. Talking to the owner about how saturated the ground is and in the five years she’s been there has never known mud like it. Most of the horses were in.
Bit of time spent in the garden, cutting back and tidying. Not sure who dropped a seed, either me or a passing bird but there is what looks like a rogue lettuce growing in amongst the roses!
Capt S and DSS headed off to London to watch football, I walked C dog and we both got wet (again!)
Listening to United’s commentary and, after a blip at the weekend, they were back to winning ways.
