Good Afternoon. Raining! But we have had some sunny days this week so mustn't grumble.
Highdays - it's not just you with formatting problems. I have to type as one continuous piece and then put all the paragraph breaks in at the end ( on Kindle ). It's very annoying!
Recently.
Went to take DDiL birthday presents and had lovely chat with her, DS and DGD. A lovely afternoon.
Then DD and DDIL came for tea so we could give her birthday presents to her. She says she's halfway to 50! She's 45 but I sort of see what she means! Maths was never a strong point.
Started watching Dirty Business. Oh, my word! So upsetting and infuriating in equal measures. I wish I could say I don't believe it but unfortunately I do.
Have ordered a new embroidery kit. It's a tree with lots of leaves, like a tree of life, and I'm going to do it as a temperature tree, so each leaf will represent the temperature on that day. I haven't explained that very well but it makes sense in my head so we'll see how it goes.
Fish finger sandwiches for tea. Nice and easy. Followed by the rest of the apple crumble I made for DD visit. It's gf so it's more crunch than crumble but very nice nonetheless.
Happy afternoon everyone

I de cluttered the garden table and cleaned it up.
I deep cleaned the microwave and oven, an unpleasant job but always gratifying when it’s done.
A lot of wash loads.
RTC pies and veg for dinner
Re-reading a book that I couldn’t get into previously.
A new and intriguing series found to watch.

For the week,
The days are quickly stretching out and bringing more light.
There has been sunshine, warm as well with light winds and the joy of not having to wear a coat at the yard.
There was a lovely morning spent with my bf, chatting away. We met at a big GC and picked up a few bits including some Agapanthus tubers and brightly coloured Primulas to lasagne plant in a large pot.
Picked up some suet balls as well as the birds are busy busy building nests.
There was a birthday as well with a “am I really 62” moment looking in the mirror but so many bittersweet memories of my darling eldest brother who would have loved to left his 40’s let alone reach his sixties so we embrace the age….and wrinkles!
Being lucky enough to have so many cards to open, C dog & pony gave me some of my favourite hand cream which was extremely clever of them. Oh and there was books, lots of books.A long walk around a local Country Park followed by coffee & cake in the cafe, they have renovated the old train station’s waiting room and have 1940’s music playing, what with that and the steam from the tea machine I half expected Celia and Trevor to appear ☺️
Flowers budding up on the spring clematis, crocuses and tête-à-tête in the borders and violets in the lawn.
Clear sky with a half moon and stars.

Happy Birthday @LaineyT. Sounds like it was a good birthday, with just a few memory moments.

Good morning. Still in my caravan bed but about to get up…it’s chilly which is why I’m still in bed with my long hot water bottles 😆
For Friday…woke up with a sense of going on holiday !Early morning chat to sister.
Packed my bag and packed a dog and off we went. Down here for about 10am and there was almost a taste of spring in the air. Blue sky a teeny tiny bit of warmth in the sun. Daffodils had bloomed.
And then realised I had water pouring out from under the caravan…so not quite as delighted as I had been. Anyway thankfully plumber was still on site ( water had been switched on the day before…and then they had quickly switched it off but for some reason hadn’t met me know!) anyway all sorted ( there will be a bill!) and then oh there’s no hot water. Battery in the boiler had died so need new ones and yes I could have left site and gone to get some but I actually have this type at home ( the big round ones) so just thought nah! I just boiled the kettle for hot water. And rejoiced in having a flushing loo!
Much pottering around. Putting things back where they go. Watching as other people started coming down and like me had the windows open and stood on their decking! A simple joy.
Was out walking late afternoon and a car was coming up the drive as I crossed the field…mad waves from inside it! My swimming pool friend! Hellooooo!
Last walk as sun was setting and moon was high in the sky above the trees. Bed with hot water bottles and slept not too bad. It takes a while to adjust to the quiet. I live next to a main road!
And up this morning and we had a walk and there were 13 deer in the bottom field. Saw watched them then had to stomp my feet so they heard me before dog saw them. Anyway was a nice way to start the day.
Will head back home in a couple of hours.
Back in my happy place…it’s a nice feeling.

For Saturday…waking up in my happy place. Listening to the birds and then seeing all the deer 🦌 who are all wild deer.
Going back into bed which was still cosy as I had topped up my HWB when doggy had his breakfast.
Friend called. So had a nice chat.
DD2 and The Pup came a-visiting…with cake! We all had a nice doggy walk. Met swimming friend and her husband so had a lovely chat with them. And met a few more new to me people out and about. There really felt like a sense of re-awakening which was nice ( though rather selfishly means it’s not just mine and the dogs private dog walking route any more!
Had some lunch. And DD2 left and I left about an hour later. Nice drive home. And hello house! Nice to see you after a day with your hot shower and washing machine! Have washed the caravan hall rug which was especially manky after yesterday in and out trying to sort water problems…was very muddy anyway with added water leakage didn’t help.
Enjoyed a hot shower and put my jammies on! Late afternoon…the decadence 😆
Friend called and could she pop over with some stuff. Of course . So she also brought me some flowers. It’s been a week for flowers! And we sat and had a good blether! And I will be heading up to bed shortly I think. Go and watch Casualty.

For Sunday.
Up early.A very rainy day. Thwarted plans to move pots in the garden as I have patio getting cleaned this morning…so I now need to do it and move my car out the driveway.
Out for a lunch with DD2 and The Fiancé which they kindly paid. They had brought me some beautiful red tulips.
It was nine years since my husband had died. The length of time I find quite ridiculous. He is still so, so missed and loved. The ache had never really lessened.
And it got to evening and I just thought I’ve done today…not had that feeling for a while but I’d done enough and tomorrow ( now today) is another day! I didn’t need dinner as I’d had lunch.
Whilst out bumped into a friend. So had had a quick chat with her.
And had had a lovely chat with DD1 in the morning.
And my doggy has been an emotional support dog all week. He is so intuitive and knows when to come and be with me ( he’s 90% always nearby anyway but more so this past week! )
And onwards…
Need to go and chuck on some joggers and go and move stuff!8 -
Hello…looks like it’s me again with Monday pleasures.
After a very wild and windy night we have had a pleasant day though it’s now raining again!Patio is sparkling! And gutters are clean. And pots all need moved back again but had to wait till it was all dried in and then of course it’s now wet again! A job for another day perhaps!
Was a morning /early afternoon of waiting in for others ( just ever so slightly growling!) however all hoovered, floors washed, laundry done, bathrooms cleaned.
Chat with friend in the morning. Chat with sister in the afternoon. And chat with a neighbour when I went out to the car.
Parcel delivery and the chap always has a treat for dogboy! And he’s in the photo of me accepting the parcel 😆 desperate for his treat!
Had to pick up DD2 after her work and then went to bank. And then into florist and a very quick nip into M&S and the charity shop…got a tee shirt and DD2 got two dresses for summertime. And home!7
