Good afternoon
Frith - lovely photos. What an adventure!

Decided to sort Christmas decorations to donate some to charity shop. First box I opened had a piece of paper on top saying ' Charity Shop' in my handwriting! That saved me a job. So off to the charity shop we went on Friday. Two more boxes to go from small bedroom. One a reverse advent idea for YMCA and the other children's books from The Works to go to the local food bank to add into their Christmas boxes. Might take that one on Monday.
Bought some beautiful cyclamen to go into an outside pot today. It's had in a Million Bells (sort of multicoloured little petunia ) since May that has been covered in flowers. It finally succumbed to the frost this week. Not bad value for £1:99 !
Re-watching The Night Manager. I honestly can remember hardly anything from the first time of watching so it's all new to me😂
Seem to have had a lot of house admin to do this week so looking forward to some gardening this afternoon for a change. For as long as my back lets me!
Happy weekend everyone

A few more! Berlin was a bit much for us but we've enjoyed Essen today.
I got something in my eye explaining to smaller son the importance of one paticular shop...

Up very early this morning! 4am seems to be the new 5am. Anyway we were out walking early…even before the birds were up.
Went to the cinema this morning to see Wicked. Got the cheap seats…4th row. It was really good.
Bought paint. Kind of knew what I was after so in and out.Snoozed.
Painted.

For yesterday,
Bit of a lie-in so only caught the last couple of hours of the cricket, oh dear!
Busy morning, made a loaf and changed the bed plus numerous bits of pottering.
After a decent start the rain swept over and the horses came in so spent some time with my big girl. When I arrived was the only person on the yard and as I opened the door to the big barn all the horses heads looked expectantly in my direction, my beauty is right at the end so lots of hellos and click click as I went through.
Home, made a pot of tea and settled down to start the latest Louise Penny, within a few pages I was back in the world of Three Pines and fancying coffee & cinnamon buns! The United game was on the background and we got 3 points away from home.
C dog didn’t want to go far in the rain, even in her new coat, so quick dash around the block then home. Easy tea of baked spuds with bacon & cheese then time to catch up with Shetland.4 -
Up at ridiculously early o’clock that a dog thought was a suitable time to have his breakfast. No it wasn’t…you can go out for a wee but you ain’t being fed!So I eventually dozed off again and didn’t wake up till 8am…which was way past his breakfast
Painted second coat.
Call from a friend about a bereavement so I went straight there for an hour.Home and finished painting,
DD2 and Chap popped in. they took both dogs a walk…so he was very wet when he came back as it’s just lashed all day.
Put everything back where it belongs. All looking very nice.
Made RTC steak pie with little tiny roasties and RTC baby sweetcorn, carrots and peas for my tea which was nice.Chat to sister and chat to friend.6 -
1. 6hrs' slow, tricky, rainy drive, but made it to a pre-paid Just Park address in a part of Cardiff, ahead of....
2. .....wonderful men's choir in the Principality Stadium, before the match. The whole stadium sang, magnificent. Also gracious that they sang Pokare-kare-ana for New Zealand, as well as our anthem.
3. The match🖤🏉 -Wales vs &'s All Blacks in the Principality Stadium. We won, 52-26 in a wonderful rugby atmosphere, but also at the end of a too-long hemisphere-hopping season. 2 more tries were disallowed. Wales are on the right path back too.
4. A very kind Cardiff no.44 bus driver.
5. A CRUK cs open after the match, as & retraced her steps back to Doblo. It was still raining and & was drenched through, as most people were.

Trying in vain to add pics. Maybe tomorrow.

For yesterday,
Up first so early morning cuddles with C dog.
The treat of breakfast out, despite the heavy rain the farm shop cafe was heaving. I had the veggie cooked breakfast, minus baked beans but with extra mushrooms.
Home, made a batch of cheese scones and then caught up with all things Ambridge. Good to hear Mark Bonnar as the hunky crofter.
DSIL, plus partner and little dog arrived so our girl met another of her canine family members. Lovely catch up over tea, scones and cake.
The joy of Bob & Paul latest fishing adventure ( although the sea fishing made my tummy feel a tad queasy! ) then snuggling down with Armand and all at 3 Pines6 -
I’m sat with a snoring dog on my knee and a hot water bottle tucked in beside me on the sofa! Gone all cold again and to be a freezy kind of night. But the sky has been blue and the sun shining this afternoon.
Awake at ridiculously stupid o’clock again and then had to set an alarm which I don’t normally have to do just in case I slept on.Vets at 8.30 am for jag. Met a very pretty puppy.
Had some work stuff to sort out so popped into work place and left doggy in car then we went down to CP for a lovely walk. Popped into caravan to check everything was okay …just cold! Some folk had burst pipes last week so I’m glad I got my water all drained down. Brought my hot water bottle home with me… more use to me here than there.
And home. Quick chat to sister.Bit of work this afternoon. Checking in with the families I’m working with next couple of days. Printed off service.
Hoovered car. Topped up water for windscreen.6 -
Great photo’s Frith
Thank you for the birthday wishes it was lovely frugaleque day
We went out to Dover to pick up a breakfast for lunch from a little café that was lovely, and meandered around a couple of CS’s, then went over to Emmaus, where we found various things that now live here. We pondered over to Samphire hoe where we tried to walk a few chilly calories off before enjoying a takeaway looking over the sea in the dark so just listening to waves, before heading home for cuppas and a slice of birthday cake.
Forwarding a couple of days, today
We were around all morning for a fedex parcel due to turn up between 8 and 12.30, come 2.30 we popped out for errands before school kick out for pharmacy and Aldi, it’s so busy everywhere already now in the lead up of course.
Fedex of course turned up and found a neighbour to take it in thankfully, they were suitably grovelled to.
Dinner is spag bol.

Morning all 😊
Awake at silly o clock (3 a.m.!). Listened to 3 episodes of the Archers, still awake so been on here.
We’re still waiting to exchange! But still hoping to move on Monday 🤷♀️ We picked up keys for the rental yesterday and went down there with a car load. 3 locks don’t work/key missing , so hoping that is sorted by Monday. The bungalow wasn’t cleaned, so did some of that and 2 friends came round for takeaway fish and chips, which was nice. Will have to go down when locksmith comes and will take steam mop and other bits.
Meanwhile have hygienist this morning ☹️ and will continue sorting and packing whilst waiting in anticipation of the phone call to say we have exchanged and are moving on Monday. On top of this, I have had an offer accepted on a flat for my son, so need to get paperwork etc done for this!Have a good day everyone 😊5
