Highdays, I've got that C word cake underway to the point I've run out of brandy ops.For the past few days.
We popped out to run a couple of errands, I was on budget, my only pick up peshwari nans, and then DH rummaged about in the freezer and found a Christmas turkey he wanted and mentioned we have a few freezer drawers, and so it’s here.
Downstairs is cleaned up and mopped up.
Batch cooked spag bol was dinner
Caught up with DB.
Spent the day home
DH deep cleaned the hallway, and I deep cleaned the bedroom, landing, between us we broke all of the mops, we managed to heath Robinson one, but added it to a shopping list, and put the rest in the tip run.
I sorted through some more bits, one more big bag cs clothes for the tip run.mm
Some HM cake for a snack, and cooked up chicken bits, aka fake away is dinner.
For today
Collected a couple of Olio’s, and met a couple of lovely people now, the first one, some tinned bits and flowers and walnut bread, the second I discovered to be 5 houses away, very conveniently.
Re potted the kitchen plant which had grown feral, using the leftover tomato soil, and added some plant food, I’ve ended up with 3 potted up plants.
Dinner was sausage, egg, chips, and beans.
Tonight I’m reading with tv on in the background.

Hello
Bedtime ( though I’m waiting on friend to call for a chat)
Up early and we went down to CP had a lovely walk. Lots of twigs and sticks down off the trees. And so many leaves on my decking so gave that a brush and a wash and I know it will be just as leafy next time I’m down 😆
Came home about 1pm. It was raining here and I’d optimistically hung out a washing so that was wet!Brought it in and hung up on clothes horses and put heating on for a wee while.Log burner on this afternoon. Candles lit and all nice and cosy.Chat to sister as car garage had called me to see if I was still interested in car. Not if I don’t get the trade in value for current car (£200 more than they were offering) would I meet him half way with an extra £100? Nah! Anyway half an hour later and oh the manager had decided to give me what I was looking for! I’ll pop in tomorrow after work to have another look at car and make my mind up definitely. Anyway I was updating my sister on my news and having a chat about last nights visitors.8 -

2) Went to Waitrose for a cup of tea.
3) Back and dug up the stump of an old tree that was annoyingly in the middle of the badminton court.
4) Had a bit of a tidy up and cleaned the floors downstairs.
5) Smaller son and I went to the common for a walk.
6) Just watched television since.6 -
Well done on holding out for the car Mhags!
For yesterday,
My turn for getting up early and walking C dog, cold morning but dry and no sign of the squirrels, her archenemies!
Bacon butties and catching up on all things Ambridge.
Time spent in the garden, the broad beans are coming through so dug out some old cloches to protect them from Percy pigeon and his mates.
Quiet and restful afternoon at home.
Reading the October pages in my Almanac, might be a cliché but time really does seem to be passing quicker as I age.

Reading about cars and kitchens is good stuff.
1 Made sure my car insurance didn’t auto-renew as it’s off the road, all done.
2 3 wash loads line drying.
3 Changed food plans soup was lunch and tea will be fajitas, with salsa rescued from the caravan.
4 Tidied and swept the patio up, and re filled the bird feeders in beautiful weather, also cleaned and re filled the wildlife waters, with a lot of help.
5 I’ve popped some things we need for the animals that are normally cheaper on amazon, in the basket to see and remind me to check the prices tomorrow on the Prime day offers, they are of course at their most expensive now.
Avoided de cluttering tonight, that can start again later.

Perhaps we'll see you next season bop though with current form and again without a manager maybe we'll swap places 😭
Your 90 minutes at your friend's holistic centre sounds wonderful mhags and very mse
Back to work yesterday, 585 emails greeted me m'eh.
1) swishing through the leaves - autumn is my favourite season
2) spending some time with my office plants - not sure they'd been watered so quite a bit of watering, some trimming of dead leaves and repotted one - very enjoyable
3) walking back via MrL (bought ingredients for Italian Lamb recipe, having got back into planning / cooking last week) then through Balgay Park which certainly blew the cobwebs away
4) catching up with mum - she's back from her hols
5) gbf came round 'for a music theory lesson' - in the choir we're both in one of the pieces is 7 8 and had a few bits he didn't understand - it was good fun and of course he also had cuddles with doggie and cups of tea and biscuits. There was a lot in the one piece and I have said so and that if he needs to ask any of it again that is absolutely fine.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Beautiful day weather wise and 3 lots of washing dried on the line.
We have a dog who loves windfalls and sneaks one whenever she can which isn’t helping the weight gain 🙈 dug around in the shed and found posts & tape from when I had equine girlie on DIY livery and made an exclusion zone around the apple tree!
Snap on the ladybird invasion Frith got home from the stables and they were all over the back windows, fly away home please.
Store cupboard tea of salmon pasta.1
