Good morning!I think I fell asleep last night and have slept most of the night!Anyway yesterday I had not slept so well and had had to set an alarm to get up and make a promised malteser slice with enough time for it to be set and cut and taken to the event I was going to!Nice morning spent at a coffee morning fundraiser. We raised £500. Met lovely people and a few of my ‘families’ were there so it was lovely to see them and have a chat and a catch up. I won 4 raffle prizes. And then I think a couple more that I just said re-draw!And home…hello doggy!Called DD2 as we had talked about going to CP but by this time it was absolutely lashing with rain. So she would come over and could I make soup…er, I have a red cabbage and a yoghurt in the fridge and that’s about it! So popped out to supermarket and got some veggies. And made a HUGE pot of lentil soup. Sat and chattered with her and then did a little bit of work. The Chap came and they had soup and then took the rest home as well as the rest of the loaf of bread as I don’t eat much bread.Watched Strictly. And I’m now going to go and get started on writing so I can go out for a scone at garden centre with them at 10am!Have a lovely day! Think it’s to be dry after all that rain we had yesterday! Hope so I’ve a load of washing to go on!7

For yesterday,
Bit of a lie-in followed by boiled egg and marmite soldiers.
Busy morning, made a loaf then out into the garden. Watered & fed my tomatoes which are still going strong and with decent weather forecasted for the coming week have yet another reprieve . Cut back a shrub, weeded and tidied, C dog had a least one apple and dozed in the sunshine. Filled up some bird feeders as the mornings are getting cold, Mr Robin found them straight away.
Over to the yard, avoided horsey town as race day! Clouded over by then and few spots of rain. Cleaned tack and then got my girlie in, tidy up of her mane and took a bit off the length of her tail now that fly season is more or less over.
Listened to the last of the United game on way home, point away from home.
Our monthly treat of a Chinese takeaway.

Hi everyone.
Just dropping in, back from a fab holiday on the Northumbrian coast with brothers and their wives. Had a great time, our third stay in the same place so just like home from home. Apart from the day we travelled up we had glorious sunshine every day with picnics on the beaches, wonderful seafood, walks along the stunning coastline and lots of sitting and soaking it all in. Bliss!
Now back to reality - and my own bed. My bairn goes away to Crete on Tuesday for a week so we are in charge of school runs, meals for the boys, uniform, homework, teeth and hair brushing and suchlike for a week. Can see us needing another holiday to recover!
Haven't had time to catch up properly yet so will go back and read all your pleasures with a coffee in the morning. Hope everyone is ok and has managed to enjoy some welcome autumnal sunshine over the last week.
Night night, sweet dreams.6 -
mse pleasures for today
1) swishing through autumnal leaves and crunching acorns under foot while walking doggie
2) the clematis is reflowering - not sure it should be but who am I to argue with a clematis
3) 3 church services - ordination yesterday, the normal morning service and evensong today - exhausting but exhilarating
4) celebrating a friend's 50th birthday - i gave her a book of poetry
5) watching the end of the Ryder cup with DrM - very exciting

Good morning. Another catch up post, was on the phone chatting last night when I would probably have written!Anyway Sunday! Up early and downstairs to start writing early. Did put the heating on as I didn’t want to be cold. Was picked up to go to garden centre for a scone. Then we stopped at TKMax on way home and I may have got a candle and some nice soap. Also got a little cross stitch set to make a Christmas decoration. I’ve not stitched in years and it might be ‘too wee’ for me to see but it was only £1.99. Will give it a go.And home…and back to work and finished off my words and sent them off.Lovely FaceTime chat with DD1.Was a lovely day yesterday ( having lashed all Saturday) so did a bit in the garden. I had some self seeded foxgloves growing where I didn’t want them so lifted them gently and have planted them in a couple of pots for now.
Washing was almost dry when it was brought in.
one of my other purchases was a small hot water bottle ( DD2…I’ve got about 4 you can have one…yeah think you’ve got about three of mine!!) so sat with that tucked in against me rather than putting the heating on again. And up to bed and friend called and had a big chat.I’ve just been out with doggy and it’s the most beautiful star filled sky which of course means it’s cold…but it’s pretty!

For yesterday,
Up early and was walking C dog by sunrise, lovely start to the day. She saw two squirrels and I heard our dog bark for the first time, it came out kind of husky to start with as if it was a tad rusty!
A gentle kind of day spent at home, caught up on all things Ambridge and listened to an episode of JAM.
A full roast chicken dinner followed by plum crumble, C dog had some meat & veg too.
Reading my book and dozing on the sofa.
Half moon rising in the evening sky and mist starting to appear over the fields.6 -
Morning. Beautiful sky yesterday morning, we were up early for our fifth and final car boot sale of the year. Very little made for all the effort, but more stuff shifted, sold or to charity shop or tip.
Nice meal out with “ladies who lunch” last week. Bottom shed cleared out, runner beans pulled up, more stuff and old furniture broken up for the tip. Still loads to do (especially my clothes 😧) and still no news from our sellers! It was nice to come home yesterday to a chicken casserole I had cooked in the slow cooker the day before.
Have a good Monday everyone 😊6 -

Pleasures for yesterday (Sunday)
Writing now to stop myself walking out of work. Last day of a stretch...
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Third day at work done.
3) I had discussed at work that i have a massive head and a colleague brought in a hat she had knitted for me! It's very nice.
4) Got home and tidied up in a hurry.
5) Bigger son and his fiancee came round and we played his new board game.
6) My friend got Leave to Remain. Kept him waiting in limbo for years, for nothing.
7) Made a big roast dinner.
Felt grim all day. I really think it is my job.6 -
For today
Picked up some olio food, finest bread we would normally have but free, and some other bits and bobs I popped in the freezer.
Set to work on the front garden I didn’t realise how much needed doing, 6 bags of garden rubbish later, and a lot of lawn feed and weed put down to start working.
Researching for a meeting tomorrow, it is stressing me somewhat, I will be glad when it’s done, this will be the rest of the evening.
Last of the leftover duck and rice, with some oven chips and the rest of the hoisin sauce, is about to be dinner.
