Not is town today Amps. For Sunday,
Early start and a cold first walk with C dog.
Breakfast and then headed off to Concrete Cow city to visit a dear friend who we hadn’t seen for a couple of years.
Took C dog with us and enjoyed a walk around local park including looking at some Roman ruins, nice in the sunshine.
It was the longest C dog had traveled in the car with us, 3 hours in total but she behaved impeccably and hopefully is beginning to understand that a longer journey doesn’t always mean disruption and change.
Tired now so will up the stairs to Bedfordshire soon and snuggle down to read.

1.Over 10kg grapes overflow large preserving pan - just a start first thing this a.m. on one edge of a corner, over 70% to go, though not even & up ladder and across roofy bits gets near them all.Ah well....They'll all become Grape Jelly as per BBC Good Food magazine recipe, October 2008, still online.2.2hrs' Addenbrookes radiology+x-rays, for which many thanks. Radiology chap said he remembered & from 4 years ago - 'It's your voice. Oh yes, I remember you straight away!'. Ummmm🤔......but he was smiling broadly and hugs at end of everything, so ok.🫶😀
At one waiting point, faced this, so like &'s Aotearoa Foxton beach bach memories, early 50s:3.Scotsdales ½-price bird feed vouchers used+rtc £1 trough of healthy salad leaves.4. Optician, lass aged 12(aren't all our care professionals nowadays?😁)tightened and fixed &'s old lady lunettes. Much better now.5. Owls again en route back. Hearing many every night now, without thinking 'I heard the owl call my name.' 2 late Bambi's yesterday and today also. Not the same one twice, as first was small calf size, near Burwell, Lainey. Other much smaller.

2) I still have some beautiful roses in the front garden and they smell lovely
3) a very enjoyable piano lesson - Mendlessohn - I played right hand he played left then we swapped
4) walked down to the public library to do some more emails - the library is such a blessing and I am making sure I use it more
5) after supper watched Godfather III - loved it. When my marriage broke down mum took me to Sicily with some friends and we visited the opera house - and I love Cavalleria rusticana.

The epitome of a lazy Sunday, a grilled bacon sarnie was breakfast.
Popped out to pick up Olio again, this time a walnut bread, 12 tins of tuna with a bbd of 2030, 6 tins of tomatoes also in date by years, and some tea cakes, and I’m learning who’s literally just around the corner from here which is lovely, I’ve been using the app today to understand what’s listed, where as in can I walk to it etc.
A chop with cawli cheese for dinner, own grown carrots, felt ridiculously nice to pick them, cook them and eat them, I mean it only took 5 months, there are more tubs underway.
The cleaned curtains have been waiting to be re hung for a while so got that ticked it off my to do list.

Ah the pleasure of a newly resurfaced route Amps!
For yesterday, Mabon the autumn equinox.
Very cold first thing and my shower a bit bbrrr so heating tested and now on timer for hour first thing.
Into horsey town for a small food shop, stuck to the list and came in under budget. Some financial admin completed and monies moved to savings.
Playing in the garden with C dog, nice when the sun was out, our retrieval skills are coming on.
Then with my big girl, there was a loose horse which was causing much excitement amongst the residents and mine came in like a train. Rug change, groom and chat with fellow owner.
Changing into my PJ’s at 7 and realising that the sun was below the horizon, time marches away as we head into autumn.7 -
DD back in the spring I took a burial service and played Cavelleria Rusticana and it was beautiful.Anyway it is 8pm and also dark o’clock. So I am tucked in under my quilt! For Monday. Change of plans! A mix up of appointment times. All good. Rescheduled. There was frost yesterday morning! Eek! I was chilled to the bones! And actually put the heating on at lunchtime! Two new work calls. Then it was time to head off for a wee overnight stay at a lodge with DD2 and The Chap and the dog boys. Met them there. They were hot tubbing…no thanks from me! The Chap made dinner which was nice. Lots of laughter. Nice doggy walk at sunset and then an early bed!I needed a wee at 4am so the dog decided so did he…so had to sneak him out quietly and he was disappointed it wasn’t quite breakfast time.Went a walk at 6.15am just as sun was keeking over the horizon…just! Then I went back out after to take a photo…goodness knows what I thought I was taking but it was atrocious 😆…included a photo of the bins! They had to leave early to get to work…dog and I relaxed a bit longer then went a lovely walk. Then I got a call to ask if I could take another service. So that’s a new three families I need to meet. And soon!Nice drive home through the countryside.
Had to do some work admin, preparing for next service and got paperwork prepared for family visits. Then had rescheduled appointment. Just as I was leaving postie dropped off two parcels which I didn’t open till I got home. Duplicate order so I’ve just to keep the spare one! ( probably more hassle for them to arrange return )Then had a supposed family meet up but they cancelled with 15 minutes notice when I was at the venue so I had a big long blether instead and because of that I popped into supermarket on way home just as they were reducing £15 bouquets to £3.00…so I bought them and then detoured to a friend’s on the off chance she was in and she was! Big hug and a bunch of flowers duly handed over and an hours chatter before heading home to a starving doggy!Washing almost dried outside and popped heating on for an hour.Had some RTC salad and chilli for tea. Had intended to have been at caravan but ‘twas not to be! As would have had to have left early in the morning to get back in time for rescheduled work appointment! So thought you know what? I’m going to bed and be cosy…instead of being chilly at CP!8 -
