5 OS pleasures in your day today - part 3

Morning all.
Lovely photos, Paulie, fabulous skies!
Quick pleasures as dashing off to the hairdressers (not a pleasure!):
1) Very autumnal now, sunny days but with a nip in the air, trees changing colour, that feeling of everything closing in, lovely.
2) Finalising plans for our week away in Northumbria with my brothers and their wives.
3) Done the packing over a few days so not such an onerous task.
4) Hubby's play this week is going well, I'm going tonight - Educating Rita - years since I saw the film.
5) Last minute shopping and tidying the house and then we are off in the morning for a week and a bit.
Catch up with all your pleasures when we get back.7 -
I keep getting locked out of here!Kind of had the feeling I get the night before I get labyrinthitis…and yep woke up spinning. Horrible feeling.
So it’s been a quieter day than I had planned. However took my time and tidied upstairs.Washing on , out and dried. And up to date with ironing…which is never that much, just a pile of work stuff…when the pile gets big enough!Cut the grass which I’ve been trying to get done for 2 weeks now and today was our only dry day. So it’s done and garden bin is absolutely jammed!Did need to sit for a while after cutting the grass. And sat watching birds and butterflies in the garden.8 -
I’m another one who likes the comforting foods this time of year.
Having a bit of a ho ha with C0stco, I ordered something online, thankfully only a small something, it shows not delivered and tracking shows they didn’t receive it. So, I phoned up 3 weeks later to be told that it was delivered to me? So calmly I’ve explained check the tracking order as it wasn’t, it’s not even been received by the courier, they are determined it has, and so the saga continues. Seems like they may be sending another one after looking at an incorrect shipping number…
I've got my sights set on cutting the grass tomorrow, it'll hopefully be dry in the afternoon.
1 Chopped up and gathered the Christmas cake mix up started marinading with brandy and stashed it away.
2 DH rather randomly went through every drawer tidying and knowing what’s in them again, I think he was looking for storage space.
3 Tonight’s food is leftover sausages from the van, so sausage casserole with mash, that finishes the leftover foods.
4 Using lavender, rosemary, and eucalyptus oils we already have and making some clothes moth deterrents.
5 Washing loads hung out, 5 of them, phew

For yesterday,
Morning trip into Uni City for a haircut, pleasure of quiet traffic and the usual good chat to lovely hairdresser about cricket, football and wine!Took advantage of being in City and visited Mr Sparks for a few nice things for the weekend, chocolate button shortbread included.
Home, lunch then over to see my big girl. She’d had a good roll so there was plenty of mud to remove 🙈
Tasty tea of aromatic chicken with brown rice followed by a piece of said shortbread, oh my.
We watched the last episode of the Guest, left open for a new series maybe?7 -

1 I put a lot of work into some job applications, a pleasure to have got them done, I was rather miffed when one application didn't pass their "ai" keywords and got the bog standard reject. So reboot over the weekend.
2 I used the local olio for the first time, and I suspect the first of many as it works well. There may be mince pies in with it as well.DH had not heard of Olio, and is baffled as to why places waste food, he is very on board with the idea, and the place to pick up from is just out of walking distance but a very short drive.
3 Pizza slices from the freezer for dinner.
