For yesterday,
Made a loaf and did a few chores including washing another of the bed blankets.
Cycled down to the garden centre in the village as they have a decent choice of greetings cards, chose one for our DDIL and picked up a packet of broad beans seeds. Home and got them planted.
Playing in the garden with C dog, when we first got her she could barely run but now we are doing zoomies around the garden, tennis ball in mouth.
Time spent with my equine pal, she has started to shed her summer coat so the grey hair was flying!
Made an egg & bacon pie for tea, leftover pastry meant a few jam tarts which were a sweet treat while watching GBBO.

Now then!
PM2DD Football dull! Well until the last 16 of the world cup, it is really not a contest? Apart from Serbia, all Engerland has to do to get to the last 16 is will the round of 32! The group stage is three draws, as the best 8 third placed get through! Oh well, BoP is ...The good things in your version of the 'Life of BoP'
Was on the train last day to the docks, and they had the revenue protects at the station. Suddenly all the ... were ... Ne'er mind! Brightens up the day.
On that, a new nhs dentist opened up near the docks and they queued! BoP 'as bin private for years, pegs fixed around 20 years back and only a few fillings since. If I was nhs, I would be sending them inn the post! By the way, in 1945 the dental health of people in Germany was far better than the UK. Have we really caught up!
Still in 'Only Murders in the Building'. Nearly inn the new series.
There's a BoP Tour coming up at the weakened!

Monday seems a long way away temporally and geographically. I went to work, worked like a demon getting everything as ready as i could for Dubai, packed and repacked and trotted off to 2nd half of Scotland game - MrG and DrM were already there. We all agreed it was dull. oh dear. then Tuesday an early start so good things for Tuesday
1) bus to St Andrews remarkably easy (and free) so will defo do again but this time was for
2) pick up by colleague then drive to Glasgow Airport - horrid car crash kept us stationary for an hour so the good things are the emergency services and that we had left lots of time
3) no space in the lounge so the good thing is the food place we went to was excellent - i paid as colleague had paid for petrol and parking so not as mse as lounge (she has card that lets her and guest in) but very tasty
4) we had asked for extra room - bliss - and watched Mr Burton (lovely) - food tasty too and got to see first 85 minutes of game (then sadly pilot turned off live tv due to starting descent)
5) issue with room booking - i had alerted the university we were visiting to that and they thought they'd corrected but still confusion - took an hour to be sorted so didn't get to bed till 3am Dubai time - bed was definitely an os pleasure!
and for today
1) car not picking us up till 12 noon so breakfast at 10, a few emails and off to
2) lovely host - we also met the Dean and the Chancellor
3) then back for lunch - unfortunately we'd missed the included buffet but had a nice salad in the cafe - i got to watch quite a bit of the Austria Bosnia game
4) emails and an online meeting consumed the time till 7:!5 supper which was very tasty
5) now on my bed listening to the archers.
We fly back horribly early Monday. Does it bring back memories @VJsmum?MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

For yesterday,
Few chores then a friend arrived with her friend who was horse crazy so I took both of them to visit equine girlie.
It was a blustery day and she was full of it but behaved coming in then I distracted her with some hay while the lady gave her a groom. The beautiful grey one showed off all of her best moves in offering kisses in exchange for treats and was perfectly behaved. Proud Mum.
Chilled out afternoon, found a film and enjoyed a cuppa or two.
The rain come over and it felt much cooler so tea was macaroni cheese followed by plum crumble.
The cricket was a bit of a wash out and we lost again, cheered ourselves up by watching an old BBT.7 -
Temperature hit 39 today so pleasure 1 has to be...
1) air conditioning and very short distances to walk between car and building
2) went through bulk of workshops (exhausting but good to do)
3) nice lunch in the medical school canteen - again lots of salad
4) trip to the planetarium - we were the only 3 and had a very good show, including the recent lunar eclipse (missed it in Scotland as too cloudy)
5) and evening of tweaking 3 workshops and totally rewriting another (don't ask) - have another to totally rewrite - fortunately they are for Saturday (done) and Sunday (so technically have 2 evenings to get that one done and do at least have the right information) then the archers and now the news quiz.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
