Monday seems a long way away temporally and geographically. I went to work, worked like a demon getting everything as ready as i could for Dubai, packed and repacked and trotted off to 2nd half of Scotland game - MrG and DrM were already there. We all agreed it was dull. oh dear. then Tuesday an early start so good things for Tuesday
    1) bus to St Andrews remarkably easy (and free) so will defo do again but this time was for
    2) pick up by colleague then drive to Glasgow Airport - horrid car crash kept us stationary for an hour so the good things are the emergency services and that we had left lots of time
    3) no space in the lounge so the good thing is the food place we went to was excellent - i paid as colleague had paid for petrol and parking so not as mse as lounge (she has card that lets her and guest in) but very tasty
    4) we had asked for extra room - bliss - and watched Mr Burton (lovely) - food tasty too and got to see first 85 minutes of game (then sadly pilot turned off live tv due to starting descent)
    5) issue with room booking - i had alerted the university we were visiting to that and they thought they'd corrected but still confusion - took an hour to be sorted so didn't get to bed till 3am Dubai time - bed was definitely an os pleasure!
    and for today
    1) car not picking us up till 12 noon so breakfast at 10, a few emails and off to
    2) lovely host - we also met the Dean and the Chancellor
    3) then back for lunch - unfortunately we'd missed the included buffet but had a nice salad in the cafe - i got to watch quite a bit of the Austria Bosnia game
    4) emails and an online meeting consumed the time till 7:!5 supper which was very tasty
    5) now on my bed listening to the archers.
We fly back horribly early Monday. Does it bring back memories @VJsmum?

    Hello!

Another quiet day at home. Mouth still sore though not as bad as yesterday.

Chatted to friend on phone and sister.

Had beans on toast for tea…and it was very nice! ( remembering which side to chew on!)

So much rain this afternoon/ evening.

And a celebratory chat with DD2 who got good news today.

And early to bed as I feel I’ve done today and tomorrow is another day with hopefully a mouth that feels better!

    Pleasures for today (Wednesday)

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Bigger son here first thing so we could try and reprogram his Garmin for his bike.

    3) More raln so the lawn is recovering.

    4) Posted the horrible PIP form.

    5) Emailed my new GP with 2 forms of ID.

    6) Applied for a new passport.

7).That was enough paperwork for one day so I took the old lawnmower to the tip.

    8) Hoovered and tidied up.

    9) LO chicken and stuffing in sandwiches for lunch then jacket potatoes, salad and salmon for dinner.

    10) Messaged my friend (an electrician) as sone fairy lights were flickering last night without being plugged in...
