For yesterday,
Busy morning with chores and the never ending job of weeding the garden, am looking forward to the forecasted period of hot weather as it might deter the little peskies!
Into Uni City for haircut, love the school holidays as such a difference in traffic.
Home, quick change and then off to see the beautiful grey one, nice chat with fellow owners.
Warm evening so we decided to walk into the village for a meal at the pub, C dog came too and she was beautifully behaved. The landlord made a fuss of her and, after hearing her story, couldn’t believe that someone would let such a dog go, I know!
Starry night and a late mooch around the garden.4 -
Post disappeared, but will rewrite, again from BROH reception.
1. 'I'm a non-driver', said young BROH staffer Luke, 'but I know these machines are a pain.' & has never been able to make either work. Luke did.😀👍 The father and son ahead of & gave up - hope they aren't ticketed. Patients must still pay to park.
2. Again, so grateful to have my leg and my life nearly 2 years on, post-surgery. BROH are wonderful.
3. Ancient &'s survival post-leiomyosarcoma=research interest, so will attend next month's Sarcoma Day in Manchester. Kindness again, was just asked if I needed hospital transport back.
4. Frith, that's an excellent multi-£££s double bonus! Well done!👏🙂. Meantime, Anglian Water's Tom confirms another refund should be back in &'s account no later than Monday.
5. Yesterday's jars, 9x satsuma marmalade, with wild crab apple pectin and 4xColonial Cucumber relish. Yes, the latter's a 10-day job 🙂

Late pop in, just touching base before a busy weekend.
Some pleasures:
1) Not my favourite way to spend an afternoon but after a few hours at the hairdressers I am presentable once again, cut and coloured and altogether more 'me'.
2) Eating up our stores of food is leading to some interesting and yummy never-to-be-repeated meals.
3) Nice little win on the Premium Bonds this month, bit more than normal so that can go in the treat pot.
4) Good weekend weather-wise is forecast, currently we have a beautiful moon glowing in an inky black sky, quite magical.
5) No walk today as having my hair done but my lad popped out for a catch up later this afternoon when I was in my summerhouse. Talked through some plans and future house ideas.
Right, heading off to bed to read myself to sleep hopefully, bit pottered about my brain scan tomorrow - not sure why as I'm sure it's just a tick in a box but will be very glad to get it over with.
Hope you have a good weekend.6 -
1 More handwashing achieved but very sore hands now not so much a pleasure.
2 Cleaned out the bird bath, an absolute pleasure was I was taking a break facing the bird bath, and a goldfinch landed and had a drink, followed by so many hover flies and bees I literally lost count.
3 The house is sort of dragged up to clean but not tidy.
4 I mowed the lawn and gardened a tad creating a whole garden bag for the tip run.
5 Watching swizzel enjoy so many new things, bouncing hydrangea heads, running in the drips of water running down in the garden, and swimming in the tomato tray water as I refreshed it, they always start out as amazing water babies, but sadly they grow out of it

4) The cat has put a bit of weight back on.
5) Did CV and covering letter for a job application.5 -
For yesterday.
A lovely warm & sunny day.
Field visit for my horse, walking up to her field and saw she was on her back having a roll, big old legs waggling in the air.
An afternoon at home, much reading and a nap on the sofa.
Sat in the garden having a catch up with Capt S, C dog asleep at our feet. Can’t believe it’s only 2 weeks since she’s arrived. The big old moon rising full in the night sky.5 -

Good morning. 🌞🌞🌞 again
Had a lovely weekend. On Saturday I went with DD to her friend's allotment. It was very overgrown when he got it but he's done a fantastic job. Kept the old plum, apple, pear trees and planted lots of veg. He's on holiday so DD is in charge. We're allowed to use a hosepipe for food growing, even in our Yorkshire Water ban area, so watered everywhere and then picked lots of goodies.
Then went to pick up DGD and take her for coffee and cake. She goes for a major operation this week ( her third. She's 16! ) but is amazingly upbeat and positive. She's such a beautiful girl ( I know - all granddaughters are!). It's going to be a long week for us all.
Went with DH to our local garden centre yesterday. They have a big show garden there so we went for a stroll So peaceful. We saw one other couple all the time we were there.
DD messaged to say she had made plum, pear and chia jam. Made my plum crumble sound very pedestrian. It was good though.
Nothing much planned today. Will spend some time in the garden enjoying the sun I think
Happy 🌞 day everyone5
