Lovely bouquet Frith
For yesterday,
Biblical rain driving into horsey town, exchanged smiles and raised eyebrows with a lady next to me in emporium’s car park.
It had stopped by the time I got over to the yard, just a field visit with a bucket of treats and girlie’s daily meds. Sat on her hay box and day dreamed while watching her graze.
The sun come out and it was a nice afternoon so the beautiful blond one had another, more comprehensive bath. Such a good girl but as with most Labradors a few treats help things along nicely.
Sat in the garden reading and enjoyed an iced coffee.
A picky tea as didn’t fancy putting the oven on.6 -
Let's see if these osps, tacked together last night, will now post from outside surgery.1. Thankyou Frith🌟👏for identifying RFM(post passim) as Robert Fead Mosley, silversmith. Can now dig further.👍
Today's update - doing so.🙂2. Driving, not walking, in big rain to great midweek Communion.3. Still up on The Gallops in the dark after strange sunset.4.🤞for a young person needing week time accommodation. Word spread in various ways.5. Fairly major muck-out and rearrange of Doblo front innards.#
Well, no idea why screen colours have changed, now all murky greens, blue-grey, brownish and flat looking. No solution so far via settings and it's hard to describe in a question.
Keep trying &.🤞🤔

Good weekends to all, writes &, knowing that the hand-done laundry is being rain-rinsed again as we speak.🤲 Ah well.....should fatten the figs.🤞CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Hello. Thursday/ Friday pleasures
well being awoken at 3.15am yesterday morning was not a pleasure…a birthday boy being sick! But seems to have been a one off and I am putting it down to his treat was too much for such a delicate tummy.Out to work in the morning. A lovely service for a lovely family. I was kindly invited to the tea which was nice.Had a chat to DD1 before I’d went in ( as I’m always down super early)
Then home to quick change and grab an overnight bag. Off we went to CP. Had a lovely walk as the tractors were out cutting and baling. Then 1.5 hours swim.Macaroni for dinner. And an early night with a library book.Out for a walk at 5.30am which was lovely and on way back could see two deer playing in the fields (3 fields away)
Swim at 9-10.30am . Nice chatters but bit cool so had to keep moving!Came home about 1pm.
Made a work call to new family.Chat to sister.Finished library book. And now need to go and make my bed as I’ve just brought the washing in.6 -
Oh Haggis but we’ve all been there with the excess celebrations!
For yesterday, Lammas
Baked a Lammas loaf with loads of pumpkin and sunflower seeds, plus sunflowers for the hearth.
Good job as it was cool & wet morning, listened to TMS whilst getting my jobs done.
Over to see the beautiful grey one, she was still out and more than a bit hurry up, hurry up when coming in. We didn’t like having our feet washed either! But she was soon settled into her stable and all was well.
Home hungry so cooked tea of SF chicken and tempura veggie fries.
A week since the new member of our family arrived and she has settled in so well. She is quickly getting into a routine, knows where her food is kept, what her harness & lead is for and is happy just to be with us. Such a snugglebug for cuddles too. Strange though we are yet to hear her bark 🤔4 -
Bedtime! I have an achy plantar fasciitis-y foot so I’m taking the weight off it and heading to bed to read my library book.
Up early. Did doggy stuff and then back for a wee doze!Wrote myself a list of chores in and outside and have done most of them.
Cut quite a bit back in the garden. We are at the crazy overgrown stage of blooming.Started a new book and I’ll maybe get it finished tonight ( unless I fall asleep! )
Used a home grown courgette as part of my dinner!6 -
For yesterday,
Mushrooms on toast for breakfast.
Popped C dog into the car and drove to next village on that has a much longer walk around the back of the horse studs. We knew it would be busy on a Saturday morning and wanted to see how she would do. We met runners, a man on an electric bike and numerous dogs with their owners and she was so well behaved, friendly without being overly so and happy to say hello to everyone. She loved all the new sniffs and explored away to her hearts content. Happy dog, happy people ☺️Spent lots of time in the garden, Capt S started cutting some of the hedge and I weeded & dead headed. Nice in the sunshine.
Over to see my big girl, she was already in and munching on hay. Gave her a groom and had a chat with fellow owner. Following the footie scores and United won their first game of the season.
Burgers in bun for tea then we watched Whitstable Pearl, think I will have a look for some of the books as do enjoy.4 -
Hello. About to head to bed.Up early. It was absolutely lashing with rain.Quiet morning then went out to work this afternoon to meet a lovely new family.Came home and started writing and writing, service sent off.Just had a wee macaroni ready meal for my tea.Chat to friend on phone.Old table picked up. Had it on for free on marketplace. What a palaver but it’s gone. And in my wisdom started stripping wallpaper in downstairs loo but got fed up very quickly 😆 it’s a tomorrow job!7

For yesterday,
Nice morning so left Capt S snoozing and was walking C by 7, squeezing all I can from the last month of summer.
Mixture for the rest of the day between reading, watching cricket and spending time in the garden.
Seeing C dog really coming out of her shell and playing with a ball, makes you realise how shut down she was when first arrived and no doubt a coping mechanism when in the shelter.
Got a bit emotional when Joe Root reached his century and paid homage to the late, lamented Graham Thorpe.
Last of the Karen Pirie serialisation, differed from the book but enjoyable all the same.6 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) A good sleep!
2) Tidied and cleaned during the morning.
3) Smaller son is 22 today. He likes to open his presents from me just after midnight.
4) My mum, dad, siblings, brother in law and niece came round at 2pm for a cup of tea. My brother brought smaller son 2 steins and some Jeremy Clarkson farm beer.
5) We went to Sainsbury's for some plastic cheese (the squares of processed cheese).
6) Bigger son came and we had a barbecue with kebabs, burgers, hot dogs and beer.
7) Just saw a meteorite when I was about to come inside from the fire!5
