For yesterday,
Horsey town for a coffee with pal and a F&V shop.
Out again, this time to GC in village as needed some compost and they had an offer on, somehow a big pot of Cosmos plus a geranium also jumped into trolley! Back home and planted these up plus finally got my tomato plants out, just Harlequin cherry ones plus a Beefsteak this year. Also got another row of lettuce seeds in.
My own grey was very sassy coming in from the fields, dancing beside me, eager to get to her hay net. She has a new next door neighbour in the barn and is rather taken with him!
Tasty tea of roasted veg and feta linguine.
Surprise of Shardlake turning up on ITV, we don’t subscribe to Disney channel so thought we would miss out. We love the books and whilst not entirely sticking to script it was enjoyable all the same.

I’ve been a bit remiss at posting in a timeous manner and then I forget what I did if I don’t post!Todays plans kind of changed ( only loose plans) as I have to wait for a delivery of dog food and I don’t want it left outside incase it rains!Anyway for Monday I went to CP, had a lovely walk and started a book…then came home just as it was starting to gently rain.Popped in to work place to say a quick hello but doggy was in the car so I wasn’t long.Chat to sister. Then the rain came on and forgot to go back off! Literally poured for hours. So I just sat and read and read until I finished the book! I do like a day when I can read a whole book! And I got a free pineapple and cucumber in Lidl! ( then got stuck in traffic at roadworks for ages because I went that way 😆)6

Back again with Tuesday pleasures!Today has been our nicest day in about 2 weeks! No rain, just warm sunshine.More weeding…the rain has certainly helped them grow!Cut the grass. Chat with friend who was passing in their car. So they got out for a chat.Sat out for a wee while. I can’t sit in the sun for too long.and generally pottered about. I’ve enjoyed my few days off in between work stuff but back tomorrow ( prepped that on Sunday though) and start all over again. But it’s been good to have a bit of space between jobs. Last couple of months has been a constant turnaround.Just sitting at the patio doors enjoying the wee breeze and listening to the birds ( and a dog snoring!)6

For yesterday,
Made a loaf, did some chores and completed a couple of surveys, earning for May were low and need to pay more attention ☺️Off to local farm shop to meet lovely friend for lunch, been a good few months since we last saw each other so plenty of catching up to do.
We were both good with salads for lunch then went and sat outside to have coffee & millionaires shortbread!
Home, quick change and then off to the yard, my girlie was just being fetched in and was so pleased to see that, despite her prancing and eager to get in she behaved for the yard person. Helps that the person was chatting away to her so girlie’s focus was held, good to see and most reassuring.
No football for us but we did enjoy the cricket from Southampton.4 -
A busy day of in and out!
Set alarm but was a night of most hours being seen. Achy bits were aching.
Hospital appointment with DD2. Out/ In
Went for a scone at old work…rather noisy background noise and friend called so added to the noise and chatted…out
Then DD2 called to say could I pick her up as she was finishing work and her car was in garage…even more out.
Work call on way back…I’ll call you when I’m home…via supermarket…out/ in
Two more new services booked in.Had to go to work…out. The most beautiful day and I was working inside and my car was like a furnace when I got back to it. But what a lovely family…
…briefly in, quick loo visit and then had to take DD2 and The Pup down town (at rush hour) for her car.And in…
Tea whilst I felt like I was over -heating!
So I’ve came upstairs opened a window and put the fan on to cool down! Usually when I’m in windows and doors would be open.4 -
For yesterday,
A warm & sunny day with a decent breeze so much washing dried on line.
The roses in our garden are hitting peak loveliness.
Headed over to see my girl in the morning, filled up her treat ball and she was soon kicking it around the field.
My beloved had the afternoon off so we headed off to BuryStEds to watch the Salt Path, thoroughly enjoyed and the shots of the West Country made us want to head off there straight away. We went to a silver screen showing at the Ev*ryman so got a free drink and treat which meant for the second day running I had cake in the afternoon!
The final of Race Across the World.

Morning all.
Just touching base and some speedy pleasures:
1) Lovely weather is back again - we missed you!
2) Day out yesterday to look round a working mill, lovely walk in the wooded valley along the canal.
3) We too partook of tea and cake in the sunshine.
4) Homemade ready meals in the freezer make summer teas easy - lasagne and salad last night when we got back was minimal effort.
5) To the city today, hubby has a dental appointment so will drop me at the shops and meet me for lunch and a walk along the river afterwards. An order to collect from my favourite bookshop, nibbles and bits from the food hall for our trip away at the weekend, then to look at plants at a nearby garden centre with some of the best-ever fish and chips, mushy peas, white bread and butter and a pot of builders tea to finish the day..... Diet? What diet? Manana perhaps....
Right, need to finish getting ready and we are off, I'm strangely excited about wearing a dress today for a change, can't remember the last time! Have a good day, hope you see the sunshine, it's heading towards being another lovely day.5 -
Good afternoon
Been a lovely day here. A couple of heavy, headachey half hours, but after three huge spots of rain, they went away.
Went to a new-to-us cafe on Tuesday. It's by some fishing lakes ( old quarry?? There are lots round there). Anyway we really enjoyed it. We are in a bit of a rut and need some new things to do. Had a lovely walk round the lakes afterwards.
Watched the final of Race Around the World. I guessed who would win. Not sure why, but this is the first series we've watched. But that means we can start from the beginning on catch up
Finished a couple of clothing alterations so I'm now ready for summer. Bring it on !
Happy teatime everyone4
