<mutterings of words unsuited to forum as I have lost the conversation file on a strange machine.> Dash.
Warm greetings to all, and thankyou for posting even if I haven't picked up the habit I''ve certainly enjoyed the fun.OS pleasures recentlyWhile the tree is in bloom, I love May blossom. Shaking it out of everything line dried, slightly less…The pharmacy on a Friday before a Bank Holiday can get a bit hectic but the staff were superb, admirably professional.Middleson has new bachelor squishy TV-watching chairs & (of course) just sitting in one, I am a toddler again, with my feet stuck out. Which has him gurgling with laughter & me agreeing.Andor & a cringey meet the in-laws meal! So funny… plus a riveting mother of the bride speech with an unexpected twist, this is near Spielberg at making your emotions dance to the show’s piping.Watching the cook get a quick reminder of why you Always wash your hands immediately after working with chillis had me laughing at a pitch that could disturb dogs. Shame on me.Oh gods Middleson is thinking of taking up motor biking. Well, certainly one grandmother & both parents are on thin moral ice saying “don’t” but he didn’t know us women had serious surgery & months in plaster while his father's biking career was measured in hours.Youngest eyeing the vitamin D supplements he’s been given & proposing to “put them in a yellow tub so he can pretend he’s Gregory House popping Vicodin” - have to admire his taste in role models, even if not the drug usage reference!Ah, HIGNFY, VCM and Chris McCausland - icons. Also funny, but ye gods the intelligence.Had a look at hair combs for wedding guest finery & am pondering decorating my own, with wire & ribbon, not a hot glue gun. (Haven’t got one, our glues more model making, balsa plane &/or fiddly!)Kelly's Heroes - strange to watch it without a scatter of chaps about, reciting bits of dialogue! Ah the “negative waves”, “I need about 60’ of bridge“, “move it out”…I was reading about adding a hook & eye to a camping blanket so you didn’t have to wrangle pins to wear it as a cloak. Wondered where my blanket was, found his, un bagged it & had to undo the hook to sleep under it. Darn but he’s nearby sometimes. The nasturtium seeds have heard my encouraging words & there are several little plants whose leaves widen to greet sunlight. Still a lot of seeds keeping their heads down, but it’s cooled, I don’t blame them! [So far all Tom Thumb, no Princess of India (yet) but it has been that warm in the last week. More pods set up, I shall fight back invasive weeds with Nasturtiums…] {3 Princess seedlings which should blossom stunning red, already with darker green leaves!}Sis has made “frog in a blender” (lime & coriander) sauce/salad dressing & yet lots of green, no red. Ironically it’s vegan….It’s a Bank Holiday, it has rained, I have gardened (well, put seeds in pots to germinate). The women of my mother’s family were known for green fingers, I do but shamble in their wake, but croon to two mango seedlings.Diego (my extrovert lemon seedling) has had a radical pruning. I moved him for Christmas & didn’t feed either him (or Sid his sibling) enough over winter [citrus are greedy plants]. Diego dropped leaves & died back & so his great swooping lengths have been mercilessly cropped but with less length there are more little leaves (& a more regular feeding schedule!) Sid being (the introvert &) smaller, coped on low rations better, but isn’t showing signs of extravagant growth yet.The amusing side of grey steaks is my braided hair has unexpectedly glossy highlights.Read a widow’s query about how to move on Pratchett novels after her husband died as the children want them Now but she sourced & gave him hardbacks. The Pratchett fans were vehement the lady shouldn’t part with the hardbacks & only grudgingly contemplated parting with the paperbacks. Darn, my tribe!Ah, the Swingles & the lads in kimonos. I enjoy the glorious voices all the more for chuckling at the knees.Getting laundry in off the line as the temperature drops. And the line brollied & cased as the forecast is for lots of rain. How to finish drying the linen when the dehumidifier joins us on a visit to mum? (Mains stoptap was leaking - fixed but “everything’s damp”) [not so much now!]Packing to go south to see mum, with treats, Good Housekeeping, cook/grandson & the dehumidifier. I’m not certain what normal is, but that flying circus is not it. (It works for us. The coaster “remember as far as everyone knows we’re a nice normal family” is a long-standing family joke.) Must remember the climbing nasturtium seeds in germination pod. [Did!]Youngest, appalled, is demanding more oxo cubes as the existing stash has “gone soft”. Given that’s several inches square, I’m concerned as to how this has happened & does the plastic box we’ve been using not protect an oxo cube from the atmosphere sufficiently. Find a tin?Uncle has published another chunk of autobiography, with a lot of rather low quality photos, (happily I’m in none) but I do wish the photos with his brother- & sister-in-law (mum & dad) were in better resolution! At mum’s & she’s delighted by Good Housekeeping (must get a subscription sorted before I downgrade my bank package), and awed that I have a dehumidifier running in her kitchen & nasturtium seedlings some thoughtful, some leafy, tucked by her computer awaiting her choice as to where to plant them. [Sink in back garden for some, rather feeble pot by wall for the climbing proposed]Ah, vocab tests - what is “harissa”? A sort of chilli paste (hallelujah Google!). Then “matcha”? Oh Good Housekeeping, how you lead folk astray - seemingly matcha should be suspended by the correct whisking (!)… “nepobaby” and yikes I didn’t need Google. [And now “Gaia” & I both refer her to the hypothesis, & warn her the word can mean a lot of different things amongst people.]Heard a strange rythmic rasping noise, mum not wheezing, pauses suggested not mechanical, peered anxiously into the kitchen & saw youngest with just opened tin of tomato - ye gods, mum’s tin opener is loud!A ginger cordial simmering may help mum’s cough but the wonderful medics had a Respiratory Nurse available & mum was trotted through All the investigative tests you can do in a health centre & taught how to use her new inhaler. (Old dog, new tricks, my left elbow!) We have two & are debating where to site them, (as you should brush your teeth after use) & why try to hike upstairs if you’re having difficulty breathing?!Aww. “What do you want to eat?” Got the (checked correct) answer of “chicken curry for three hungry women please”…. And some folks wonder why I tow Youngest south to see grandma.“You must be out of your brilliant mind” as a phrase is jammed in my head. I must play the track see if that helps move it along… (startling good diction & edgy saxophone, longer earworm!)One lacking-tendrils “but will scramble happily” climbing nasturtium has sent up an enquiring green tip so the pod has been moved into direct sunlight to encourage it & siblings. There’s a little coffee cup filled with wine gums. Mum’s beaming at it… (I hesitate to buy a kilo, but anything that soothes the cough & get the calories in!)Back in Ankh-Morpork with the Watch while mum snoozing. I do like Vimes.Ah, tucking in. Preceded by use-of-inhaler observed by carer, plus me handing mum a glass of wine (which turns out to soothe her throat better than cough mixture or ginger cordial). Heading into the land of nod, teeth brushed but giggling seems good to me.Oooh marble hall murders to follow magpie & moonflower - oh good!
Health Strength Love & Courage to all as have need, along with internet hotspots & sitting out cool spots quant suff!6 -

Good morning. Sunny 🌞. Love it
A week spent mostly dealing with dentists and hospital.
DH did get an appointment to see the dentist. Infection. Antibiotics. Allergic reaction. Ring dentist. Will ring back. Didn't. Ring again next day. New prescription. That's the very short version. Whole process took 5 days. But the tooth is finally settling down
Meanwhile DH needed to cancel a hospital appointment. Cancelled on NHS app. 3 days later, a message. Unable to cancel. Rang 4 times. On hold for 25 minutes average then usually put through to another number that rings out then cuts off. Eventually managed on fifth try. Again took about 5 days on and off. And there are signs everywhere in the hospital about patients not attending appointments and not cancelling. It's almost impossible to do so!
So the rest of the week we just kept plodding on. But jobs were done and we're ready for a new week ahead.
Onwards and upwards.
Happy 🌞 Sunday everyone

Morning all😊
Lots of pleasures as we are back on our favourite Greek Island, Lesvos 😊🏖️
Lovely food and drinks, sunny weather, beautiful sunsets, sun, sea and swimming, lovely people. We took a trip on the fun train to beautiful Molyvos and had lunch at the harbour. My seafood spaghetti was delicious.Back to the beach today 🏖️
Have a good day everyone 😊6 -
Great pics PaulieH
Weekend pleasures,
Saturday morning and breakfast out, I had a warm cheese scone.
Being productive, I made a loaf, hoovered out the mini and did some work in the garden including washing out the bird drinking stations. My feathered friends were hoping around in a hopeful fashion but I’m stopping with the feed for the summer, why do I always feel so mean even though it’s what is recommended.
A warm afternoon but it was cool in the barn with my girl, we did go for a walk around the fields but she was sleepy & lethargic so cut it short.
On such a hot afternoon I was craving toad in the hole! Fortunately I had picked up some snorkers at the farm shop.
An evening of Bruce at the BBC and so many happy memories of seeing the Boss in concert over the years.
Sunday and we drove an hour deeper into Suffolk to visit some lovely gardens at Helmingham Hall. Was in my element.
We had cake for lunch ☺️ and I picked up a handy whetstone for sharpening gardening tools.
Joe Root, now our a leading run maker in ODI’s as well as test matches. No histrionics, just a classy player.
An evening walk.
Picking a single perfect rose to put on my bedside table so it’s the first thing I see in the morning.5 -
Morning all.
Wonderful holiday photos, Paulie.
Recent pleasures:
1) 4 month old great grandaughter came to visit. She is just luscious in the way that only babies can be.
2) Managed to pick up some trousers in our shopping cenre that my brother had been unable to get in his cyber-hit store so took those over and spent a lovely afternoon in their garden chatting and sorting plans for our trip away in a fortnight. SIL gave me two big bag of potatoes from her brother's farm, very MSE!
3) Finally finished the baby blanket for my niece, her baby is due in three weeks now. No more knitting now for a while, it was a big undertaking but I'm very pleased with it and I think she will be too.
4) Oldest grandson has finished his first year at Uni and is home for the summer. He's had a good year and next year shares a house with three of his pals rather than Uni accommodation which he is looking forward to. Wondering if SuffolkSue's grandson has finished his first year too, often wonder how he is getting on.
5) Hubby's latest play is on this week, set building yesterday went well and dress rehearsal tonight, opening night tomorrow and I will go Thursday. A day to myself yesterday potterng and reading. I am blissfully back in Three Pines with old friends thanks to Louise Penny's latest.
Busy week ahead with the play and littlest grandson who for some reason gets a fortnight off school for half term when all the other schools have gone back today, We will keep him entertained with places to go and picnics and ice creams to keep him happy, lovely to be able to spend some 1:1 time with him. The sun has just broken through so hopefully a nice, sunny day in store.
Hve a good one, whatever you are up to.

more new tablets and I do feel better and happier .
