epic as always @DigForVictory
Thoughts with you @Purple_kitten.
@mhagster but mine's 'early hours in the morning' oops and a school night too!
1) cooking some yummy stuff with mum away (she spoils me and cooks which is lovely but nice also to cook)
2) clean sheets - washed today and dried on the line (no idea what an iron is 🤣) and back on the bed
3) cooking with herbs out of the garden - don't have any rosemary so that was out of the student centre which just happens to have several very healthy bushes
4) DrM getting on my bus home - always a bonus even if it was only 3 stops till I got off
5) ceilidh night - stayed till closing time (due to toooooo many online meetings didn't make it till 9:30) - a lovely escape from workMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Recently…
This wonderful warm weather and bare feet in sandals.
The beech trees now have all their leaves so coming up the drive past the big house and seeing them in all that green splendour.
Nests, we have two under the fasciae in each of the gable ends and the parents can be seen flying in and out all day.
More nests! Percy the pigeon and his missus have made a huge hole in the hedge trying to make one.
Early morning wander around the garden, cuppa in hand.
Sorting through more of my summer clothes, mini try on and decisions made to say thanks but goodbye.
My mare, I was walking across the field and saw one of the helpers was already bringing her in, big whinny of welcome when she spotted me and a quick prayer sent up that she didn’t take off dragging the poor soul with her, pleased to say that her good manners held up but the walk was very quick sticks!

Morning all.
Another lovely day here, cloudless blue sky and sunshine all the way.
Some pleasures:
1) The lazy, hazy crazy days of summer - in April! Crazy indeed.
2) Thanks to weight loss (a pleasure in itself), my summer clothes certainly fit better than they did last year and some I haven't worn for a couple of years look halfway decent.
3) Feet are summer-sandal-ready and toenails painted.
4) Little fella's Sports Day today, his team came a respectable second out of four, he did really well in his events. Awww! Middle grandson came with us to cheer him on. a pleasure to spend some time with him too.
5) Latest baby great granddaughter is due any moment, very exciting. Couple of false alarms so think she is gearing up for the 'real thing', can't wait to meet her.
Off into the garden now with a glass of something cool, love early mornings and evenings in the garden in this weather. Have a good evening.6 -
Haha! Should have changed the Morning all to Evening all, did start a post this morning but then had to fly out to Sports Day. Should have started again rather than carry on from where I left off. It really is evening in case you were wondering! Have a good one.6

Woke early after odd dreams ( of going back to an old workplace and working very hard…shouldn’t have to work in your dreams 😆)
Up and at ‘em.
Washing out.
Teeny tiniest bit of work.Went for a scone at old workplace ( not one in the dream! ) and had a nice blether.
Gorgeous day here.Cut grass. And sister called just as I was finishing up.Repotted some plants , I’m hoping that’s all that’s needed to give them a new lease of life as they are looking a bit poorly. I’ll go out shortly and give them another drench of water.
Sat for a bit in the garden but it gets too hot.
Friend called to tell me all about her holiday.Had chips for tea…met my husband’s friend as I was coming out and he was going in so quick chat with him.Need to go and bring cushions in from garden and water plants and grrrrr clean the porch glass again as it’s covered in dog nose marks ( the pup)
local florist had peonies in today so I’d called ahead to order a bunch and DD2 collected them for me. Gorgeous!5 -
goodness tis 'taps aff' weather in Dundee! (@mhagster my tap stayed well and truly on!)
1) first meeting 10am so had a very welcome lie-in - only dog is happy to be left in peace downstairs - he is so different to his brother who insisted on sleeping upstairs, preferably on my bed so close he practically merged into me!
2) we went for a run at lunchtime then, cos the weather was so fab, we walked an extra loop round the arboretum
3) very tasty risotto with one of my 1/4 price courgette and a better use soon red pepper (and there's enough left over for tomorrow's lunch of course)
4) very good footie match - MrG was already there when I arrived 30 mins in and DrM arrived for the 2nd half - we had a lovely evening
5) beautiful night sky - "earthsine Moon with Jupiter, superb, and Mars speedily prograde" according to DrM - not entirely sure what that means 🤣 but Jarvis enjoyed his last walk and I enjoyed admiring the night skyMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Good morning. Oh , and it is good too! I love this hot weather. But my grandma, ever the pessimist, would say it's a weather breeder. Bad weather to follow! She wasn't always right though 😂
@Frith Fingers crossed for younger son's interview
Bits of organising going on here
Old sofa collected by Children's Air Ambulance shop. And a coffee table and a footstool. Garage has a bit more space now.
Small bedroom/playroom tackled. More things bagged for charity shop and some thrown out. My on-going craft bag sorted and mostly binned. Looks a bit better in there now.
Managed to throw away Easter wreath. I'd hot-glued it so nothing was salvageable and a wreath with eggs was starting to look a bit daft!
Booked a short break in August with DD and SiL, and another short break for New Year. Can't book holidays 'proper' just yet but nice to have a couple of little breaks to look forward to
Happy 🌞🌞 day everyone4 -
DD…I had actually used those very words yesterday ! I’d sent my sister in law a text from the garden saying that her dad would definitely have had his tap aff ! He was definitely a ‘sun’s oot, taps aff’ kind of chap! However would need a brolly at the moment! Me: is that rain? Yes it is. I have a burial service to lead this morning and was hoping for dry!Have a good day5

Hello, just watching lovely low sun sky. And listening to the birds.Well hopefully I’ll have a better sleep tonight as it couldn’t be much worse than last night! Pfft!Work this morning. The Chap kindly took me there , about a 30-40 minute drive away, that I’ll do myself next time if I’m asked there again. Was just a lovely service ( she writes modestly) but it was. Was in a lovely old section of the cemetery surrounded by newly green trees and a bird sang along to the piece of music that was playing.Home bang on the dog’s lunchtime so he was happy to see me!Chat with sister. And a quiet afternoon with a bit of work for my next service done. Was a much cooler day than yesterday and a wooly jumper was worn! But the sun came out about 5pm.Enjoyed watching the birds in the birdbath and the repotted plants seem a tiny bit happier today.5
