Pleasures for today

2. shoulder pain is getting less.
3. Met a friend for a bite to eat and chat.
4. More seedlings.
5. Another lie in this morning.6 -
Good morning
Glad the shoulder is settling down @topsyturphy
I've now had the cataract operation on my right eye and all is well. The difference in my distance vision is astounding. And it's good to have both eyes on the same wave length ( focal length?) again. Definitely a good experience for me. I've had much worse dental episodes!
So, onward and upward.
We used some of the money saved by buying a half price sofa to buy two garden chairs. Good bit of creative accounting there. Should be here in time for next week's predicted heatwave. They were one penny below the free delivery band but we agreed 20p in the charity tin would make it right 😂
Have been using a recipe for burgers that uses cottage cheese instead of egg ( I'm allergic). Have now found a recipe for chocolate mousse using cottage cheese so about to try that. There's always some cottage cheese left over and neither of us is really keen on it so win win.
Taking some bags to the charity shop today and hoping to book collection of old sofa.
Happy Friday everyone6 -
Good morning, another lovely sunny day here.
Happycas - so glad your op went well and with such immediate results. I'll need mine doing at some stage apparently and have been dreading it so it has been so reassuring to hear of your very positive experience and great outcome.
Unexpected change of plans here today as grandson's interview has been postponed so the taxi of grandma and grandad is no longer required. Hmmm, what to do instead....cup of coffee in the sunshine while we decide.
Have a good day.6 -

Good to hear that you are being well looked after Amps
For the last couple of days,
Long chat with my bf.
Chilly days means that a warmer cardigan has been dug out and boots or trainers remain footwear of choice but my sandals must be eying up next weeks forecast with optimism.
The thick dark chocolate of my Easter bunnies ears, shared with beloved of course.
My equine girlie liberally bestowing kisses in exchange for a treat, such a flirt.
Skies clearing so the evenings are bright and we can see the stars.
The Montana Clematis in flower.
An afternoon nap.
Easy friday tea of meatballs in pasta, reheated with a good glug of red wine.

Good morning !Friday and Saturday pleasures…
Friday I started the day off quite industriously then kind of fizzled out as the day progressed 😆 but was up early and had a nice walk as the sun was just rising. Then came home and made Anzac biscuits for Anzac Day. Made a wee tub full for DD2 that she picked up and took into work.I hoovered and dusted. Cleaned bathrooms. I’d stripped my bed. The window cleaner came. I just automatically sent money by bank transfer and then saw a wee note in the letterbox…it was a different set of cleaners…Waah! Anyway managed to track them down and told them I’d sent it to the old run person so they’ll get it off him! But hurrah for clean windows!Yesterday again up early and rain has returned . Up with doggy then dozed off again. And had weird dreams!Went as far as supermarket. DD2 came for lunch . Hoovered. Washed floors. Did a bit of work, so I’m currently all up to date.Sister in laws came for a visit which was as always so lovely to see them. They brought me lovely tulips.7 -
Morning all 😊
We’re away in Herefordshire for the week, before we go to Wales for the Bank holiday.
We’re staying in a lovely converted apple loft with beautiful views.
On our way on Friday we went to NT Brockhampton Estate, which was lovely, gorgeous orchards and baby lambs 😊
Yesterday morning we went into Hereford and visited the cathedral. Pub lunch, then OH went to see his team play Hereford. They won, exciting times, Frith. We had a stroll yesterday evening near to the apple loft, lovely views and glimpses of the sunset 🌅
Plan for today is the Black and White Houses trail, a 40 mile drive around the villages/towns to see some of the traditional architecture.
Have a great day everyone 😊7 -
Quiet day.
Met a friend and chatted for blooming ages!
Did a bit of watching stuff.Got a dry spell and went out and scattered some wildflower seeds and planted some sunflower seeds. See what happens!
Had sausages, mash potatoes, cauliflower cheese and baby corn for dinner.
Messages back and forth with friends making me laugh.5
