Ha! No one else wants to go after such an epic DFV post 😆
Up early.Out to B&Q for it opening. My least favourite shop out of all my least favourites! But I needed paint for the fences and they had 3 for 2 and I had a voucher so in I went!!
Home via supermarket. Met someone I know so had a huge chat with them . Got a lovely RTC standard lavender plant and used my vouchers for £10 off.And hello dog. He said I’ll just sit on your knee so you stay put. Stayed put for a wee while and then changed into painty clothes. And started painting the fence. Sigh! My least favourite job out the least favourite jobs.
Had a mini garden snoozette before getting back to it then DD2 turned up and gave me a fright as I wasn’t expecting her to appear in the back garden! It will be a long drawn out job over the week!Chat to friend. And just about to head to bed after I’ve organised my work stuff for tomorrow. Busy day ahead!Oh and I’ve blagged a fire pit that was being given away for free on the caravan site chat page. Needs a clean! I can do that! Will have it for my own garden though!Beautiful sunny day ( cool breeze) but nice in the ☀️5 -
Ack I’m not sure where I’m up to so I will start again with today
A glorious sunny but cold Sunday means a grilled bacon sarnie was brekkie.
A traditional Sunday activity mowing the grass wondering how we have weeds so fast.
Made a curry and rice.
Watching a really lovely film for once, from 1970’s

Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Work went ok and my hours are different this week (training) and will actually be better than usual.
3) Bigger son and his girlfriend came into my work. After they left, my colleague said they looked like a very happy couple. I thought bigger son looked a bit excited but he did say they might go to IKEA...
4) Took smaller son to the garden centre near floody city where we looked at the pigs and goats they have out the back then we looked at the very posh food in the food hall for inspiration.
5) Came home and walked to the little Tesco.
6) Bigger son and his girlfriend are now engaged!!7 -

2. Sunshine
3. less pain than yesterday
4. Afternoon Nap

Frith - exciting news6 -
As an ode to the Fast Show this weekend has mostly been spent in the garden!
Great news Frith.5 -
That’s lovely news Frith did you have an inkling?Jammies on even though it’s still daylight!! It’s been a busy day! Dinner is just in the oven so I thought I’d write these now.Up early.
Out to work this morning but first of all hung out a washing, hoovered and washed the floors.Very busy first service. Lovely feedback.Nipped into town to pop in and see main work provider…wee chat with them!
Home to quickly feed dog and myself. Sat in sunshine then off I went again after a quick blouse change! And service number two of the day but number five of the five I’d been working on. So now I wait for the phone to ring again ( but make the most of the time off) met a lovely doggy at the end of the service.
And home via supermarket.
There had been a Pup dropped off whilst I was out so he was collected.A few texts sent back and forth to various people ( making sure I say the right thing to the right person) whilst sitting in the garden.
And then dinner on and hopefully a quiet evening.7 -
Well in trying to go through my clothes I found interview wear that’s okay, but the problem is the funeral, my black tops are all very worn, so also a faded black, which is very annoying. I don’t like having to buy a top for a purpose. So, I am currently shopping for proper black slightly dressy tops and haven’t found one I love, I’ve found ones that “will do” but I want to buy on that’s the one. I’ve got a proper black top but apparently its work rather than funeral.
I forgot to get food out but thankfully had a chop and various leftovers.
I went through a fair amount of clothes and now have a bag that’s out of the door, and a bag to sell, and a duvet to give away.

For yesterday,
Frosty start, all sparkly in the early morning sun.
Mushrooms on toast for breakfast.
Chores done so sat on the back doorstep to finish my book, Death and Fromage, Ian Moore is a laugh out loud author.
At the yard and working my girl in the sunshine.
Easy tea of roasted veg and feta pasta then grey cells tested with quiz night.6 -
Pleasures for yesterday
1. More sunshine
2. Less pain in shoulder
3. managed a shower - bliss
4. salmon risotto cooked by DM - delicious
5. dgs 2nd birthday - FaceTimed him so cute5 -
Morning all.
Good to hear you are on the mend, topsy, and many congratulations to your eldest, frith, lovely news.
Recent pleasures:
1) Recovery is progressing in leaps and bounds but still can't smell or taste anything at all, most odd.
2) Went for a very gentle walk with my bairn to get back into it, slow but went a bit further than planned so pleased with that.
3) Following our trip to see the Extraordinary Portraits, SIL and I have treated ourselves to a set of graphite and charcoal pencils which have just arrived. White charcoal, who knew?
4) The insurance company have promptly paid out on our missed treat theatre tickets so I have re-booked for later in the year, different venue so will have a couple of days away as well.
5) Just has to be the glorious weather, such a beautiful Spring. Relaxing and convalescing in the garden has been a huge pleasure.
Enjoy the day, whatver you are up to.5
