Hello. Hugs to PK and birthday wishes to Lainey.
Up early and it was a cold and frosty start.
Finished another library book whilst I waited on washing machine finishing. Hung out bedding . Watched two sparrows chase each other round a plant pot!
Off we set to CP. lovely walk. Honestly it just becalms me. Blue sky. Trees. Birds being busy…two grouse getting a surprise…as did the dog!Quick chat to a neighbouring caravan owner. There were a few cars down today…I’ve been used to it just being me! Had a walk / ball throwing before we left. The most stunning block of rainbow light in the opposite field as we were leaving. I so wish I could have taken a picture. We were dry …then as I drove back into my town it had obviously been torrential rain! ( DD2 confirmed as she got absolutely drenched on her lunchtime walk!) but then oddly dry again at my end of town. However I was ever so glad I brought in the bedding as five minutes later it was hailstones!Read a bit. Started a new library book.
Chatted to sister.Starting watching Toxic Town on Netflix.Ordered a pizza for tea with a 50% off coupon.
Enjoyed watching the eeking out of the day, the sun setting and just been out for a look at the night sky.

Sorry to hear about Nestle, PK.
Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Remembered to put the bin out, in the nick of time.
3) Had my eyebrows threaded (poor woman is probably lying down now) then had a cup of tea in M and S. Had a "chat" online with my college friend. Oh yes, and the lady who was working in the cafe in M and S (at least 20 miles from home) recognised me as she had seen me somewhere completely different last month!
4) Wanted an Asian supermarket so drove on to Dudley where I probably hadn't been (at least in the centre) for 40 years. What a lot of nostalgia! I used to go to the market with my grandma on the bus and that bit was the same. Lots of work being done for a new tram line. We also used to meet my auntie in Beatties. Then I went to the supermarket and it just isn't the same without MrU getting enthusiastic about foods from his homeland. I got a few bits but it is not as good as the one in Wolverhampton.
5) Went to Sainsburys after for a few more bits plus cat milk.
6) Made kebabs for tea and they were the spiciest thing I have ever made in my life! Then had jam rolypoly and custard.
7) Walked to the little Tesco and back with smaller son.
8) Had a long chat with smaller son about all sorts of things.
9) The decent man who asked me out last Saturday wants to meet me for a cup of tea this Saturday but I have skilfully said we should invite a third person (mutual friend) and all watch the football together. Hopefully that will get round any difficulties.
10) Just did some research my manager wanted and enquired about a possible vacancy that hasn't come up on the company website yet.7 -

So sorry about Nestle ,PK.I’m another one who feels as is she knows the ferrets ,I’ve never met one in real life and am fascinated .
always thought they were fierce fighting creatures who were put down rabbit burrows ?Lots of pleasures lately and not so pleasures
Pleasures
1 in between all the cold wet days there have been some sunny ones .
2 Been to quizzes ,interesting talks and finally seem to be getting a little better at Scrabble .
3 Looking forward to going to Cornwall in a months time when hopefully the weather will be better.DH and I both loved it there and tried to have a week there most years ,this trip goes to quite a few of our favourite places and will probably be hard at times .
4 Wine group at mine next week and I still haven’t got a theme ,but have the beginnings of an idea .
5 Have managed to get a GP appointment next week .8 -
So sorry to read about Nestlé, PK. I remember your Bournville well.
Lainey, that was certainly a memorable birthday of distinctive weather! Belated best wishes and glad you had a special day.👏
1. Having fed the 🏉 Seniors post-training, now in The Alma as we speak. Unwind time. Quiz night, much jollity and & is having un petit coup de vin before Lent, which makes it sound as if & drinks massively - complete opposite, in fact.
2. Have seen only 2 of the planetary line-up - and briefly even for those.
3. More found coinage beside a Doblo tyre while out, this very battered, hard-lived 1p,😁.
4. Good new2me book, 'The Invisible Guardian', by Dolores Redondo. Intriguing author's bumf note: '....born in Donostia-San Sebastián in 1969, where she studied Law and Gastronomy!' Prospective students would have a tricky time applying to read for that Degree here.😁
5. It hasn't rained today! Is there a chance &'s laborious hand washing - 5 months now - will have dried? On verra.🤞

Quiz over, with hilarity and prizes. It's a good place, a happy place, the rugby pub of Town of Gown, with D and M.

So sorry to hear about Nestle, PK. You take such good care of your ferrets. And love them so much. It shows.
Hope you had a Happy Birthday, Lainey.8 -
So sorry to hear about Nestle PK, we love our furry companions so much don’t we, hugs x
For yesterday,
Rough night which was probably down to some rich food plus a couple of glasses of wine so happy to get up.
Popped into horsey town to drop off a bag at the CS and pick up a couple of bits in the emporium including a bag of their wonky carrots for my girl.
Banks of daffodils in the next village to ours, so cheery on a grey day.
Spent the afternoon at the yard, my girl was already in with legs washed down and rug changed by lovely lady who works there as she doesn’t have so many to do nowadays ☹️ chat with another pal who was moving her stuff out. Sad times but life changes and no option but to move onwards.
Neither of us fancied much tea wise so a bowl of soup and cheese toastie sufficed.

Good morning. It's frosty out there but love!y and bright. Anything is better than grey!
Lainey -Belated happy birthday wishes. Sounds like an excellent day x
Purple Kitten - so sorry to hear about Nestle. You gave him a wonderful life.x
My non-cataract eye is great. Can't wait to get the other one done. I'll then need new reading glasses but it's not worth getting any now. I'll manage until then. Extended reading is tricky but I'm listening to R4 a lot. With my eyes shut! So I often nod off !
Managed to meet my friend for coffee. We had lots of catching up to do so it was a two cup meeting.
We're going to a favourite Indian restaurant tonight to celebrate DD birthday. A treat to round the week off
Happy 🌞 day everyone6 -
Good morning.
PK - so sorry to hear about Nestle, a big loss for you all.
Happycas - so glad to hear your good cataract news. I will apparently need mine doing at some stage and am, quite frankly, terrified at the thought of it so find your experiences very reassuring.
Recent pleasures:
1) Lovely clear blue skies and sunshine for the last couple of days. Typical spring weather - looks lovely from inside but is still pretty nippy when you get outside. Wrapped up warm, though, and it is a pleasure to be out.
2) Lovely spring colour in the gardens.
3) Have finally got over my plateau and lost 2lb this week making my 2 stones since September, Yay! Slow but steady progress and already feeling much fitter.
4) Spent some time individually with all 3 grandsons in the last couple of days.
5) Long chat with my brother on the phone yesterday, we WhatApp usually so good to talk in 'real life' and to firm up plans for our couple of days away Sunday/Monday.
Brother and SIL are coming for brunch on Sunday before we set off so a fair bit of cleaning and sorting to be done to whip the house into shape, the sort of stuff we only get round to when people are coming! So hubby is on with the inside windows and I am on cutlery drawer cleaning duty and finding a temporary home for my pile of reading. It will be a pleasure when it's all done no doubt.
Have a good day.7 -
Up early. Cold and frosty.
Read this morning. Read this afternoon.
Out for lunch with DD2, on her lunch break. So I went in 15 minutes early to order so it was ready just after she arrived. Had a 30% off voucher.

Met an old colleague ( from 25+ years ago who I intermittently meet ) so had a quick catch up.Had a text to say a gift and card had been handed in for me so popped in to get that, the most beautiful words written in the card.
