For yesterday,
The morning was spent doing errands, into horsey town to visit shop that sells art supplies, big independent toy store and to pick up a basket for treat hamper. Quick look around CShops and found a lovely picture frame that recipient will love.
Handed over my parking ticket that still had an hour left on it.
Changed car details on breakdown app, this took longer than you would think!
Time for small dog’s monthly trip to the V E T S, Capt S came too so he could drop us off outside. On the whole lovely vet was pleased and we came away with another supply of tablets plus she was given her injection.
Quick tea of leftover pork from freezer warmed through in mushroom sauce with pasta. Watched Shetland and managed to stay awake this week, Capt S not so lucky ☺️

DD, Thailand is sounding amazing, enjoying reading about it.
1 I needed to run some errands, so we popped out to the glazers for a bit of glass cut to protect a light, it cost a whole £3, then to the pharmacy for repeat prescriptions, and then I said do you want to test out our app for the free tea.
2 So we pondered to the garden centre, where I found another snapdragon on throw out, and I got DH a present of a stitch character Christmas light. Then we treated ourselves to free drinks and lunch and picked up a freebie for the birds. We chatted away to the server about quiet times to come in, and he mentioned they had 15 coach loads turn up last Tuesday.
3 We pondered into Aldi for the weekly shop and were there at the right time for half price meat, we picked up a pork joint, mince, chicken, and chicken mince all half price, home and the mince are a hit with the ferrets and the rest is portioned and frozen now. We also wandered around the closing down homebase, but no good reductions but a wildlife Russian doll may have been purchased a polar bear on the outside, you get the idea.
4 Dinner cooked breaded fish.

For yesterday,
Woke up hungry so fried egg on toast for breakfast.
Small dog had her hydrotherapy so off we went, she did well and came out with a spring in her step. Chat with her therapist who is also a horse owner.
Talking of which, waded through the mud and retrieved my girlie from her field. She was anxious to come in as weather was awful but, unlike others who charge & barge their way in, was well behaved and walked nicely next to her Mum which doesn’t go unnoticed by other owners who often remark how lucky I am. Who was it that said the more I practice the luckier I get 😉
Won a prize in a raffle!
Toad in the Hole for tea with mashed carrot & swede, rib sticking goodness.7 -
Hi everyone.
A relatively early start to the day today and a lovely sunny day after all the rain yesterday.
Thank you so much for all the kind thoughts, knowing people care helps so much. A pretty tough week but I have some pleasures:
1) Finished my current batch of meds yesterday so should start to feel better from today onwards and then fingers crossed no more recurrences. I am determined to be well, fit and healthy but baby steps for now.
2) Definitey baby steps yesterday but my bairn and I went for our first walk for ages. Felt a bit wobbly but took it steady and feel better for fresh air and moving more than of late. Good to have a big catch up too.
3) Plans made to travel down to Wiltshire in early January to celebrate younger brother's birthday. Don't feel quite up to it yet but lovely to think we will get to see him after all his treatment. Good results so far so fingers crossed.
4) Poodled out yesterday to get a few bits and pieces and some lovely 'better than half price' meat joints are now tucked away in the freezer.
5) Comfort and solace always from the quiet pleasures and comforts of home. Salve for the soul.
Yet another quiet day here, pottering will be done. Hope you have a good one - I will read back in detail today and catch up on you and your pleasures, some exciting stuff going on.8 -

I’m tasked with finding a couple of different ideas for making this time a bit different, I am inspired by Mhags post to book a trip to see Wicked at the cinema. But finding something else is proving entertaining.
1 Cleaned up the living room, and numerous wash loads done – again
2 I did a little garden deadheading and took some cuttings.
3 I tried a prawn stir-fry tonight, it was okay but I just can’t seem to cook a decent stir-fry.
4 Touched base with DB and asked if he would like to meet over the festivities.

Hello. My iPad was out of battery last night as was my phone so phone took priority…and still the spare charger is in the car!Thursday. Popped into town first thing. Had a work thing to do so headed down to town early to get parked in free space. Got a couple of gifts purchased.
Home and wrote a list of chores.
Mail was mammogram results which were all good thankfully. Then had to head out to other side of town to visit a new family. They were lovely but driving home in dark not so much.
Absolutely atrocious sleep and glad to get up today.
Friend called on her way to work as I got ready for mine!
Hairdressers first thing and a slightly different style.Went for petrol then had work. Got there early so had a nice chat.Service went well and nice feedback afterwards.Needed to clear my headspace though afterwards. It’s been an intense couple of weeks with more to come so make it a self care priority to reset.
So I went to old workplace for lunch. It was busy but I just sat and people watched and had a baked potato and tuna. Then quickly into supermarket before heading home. The Chap had dealt with H’s lunch when he dropped off The Pup. So I didn’t have to rush.
Hello dogs! Yes…I know my hair is nice but let me in!
Then my old boy has had a weepy eye past 2 days but it was worse this afternoon and obviously bothering him…he was keeping it closed so I called vets and went down within the hour which was good. And got a parking space which was also good! He has an ulcerated cornea. So drops and a ‘film’ to go on his cornea! Yep…easier with two people I imagine! But seeing s there’s just one I’ll just have to do my best! And an “he’ll need a cone” I have one said I! And was ever so glad I’d unpacked that box in the garage already! ( still have about 10 unpacked) So I got some Christmas ribbon to thread through it and make it a seasonal cone of shame and I will wait as my bruises appear from being bashed? Poor boy! And the pup was looking at him like what on earth are you wearing!Pup collected. I’ve just done a wee tidy up downstairs as I need to work tomorrow morning on yesterday’s family’s script. I’d decided I wasn’t doing it today. Needed to clear the headspace as I’ve said. So table all set for work tomorrow. Printed off Monday’s service so it’s already in my binder. I really want a no work Sunday if I can. And Tuesday’s service is also printed. Jings! Busy Bee.And it’s bedtime! It’s absolutely wild outside.7
