Good for you, @Suffolksue - that is what I understand to be the most important thing to do - keep moving and exercising. At least that is what they told me when I had my knees redone.5

For yesterday
Small dog had a hydrotherapy session, sitting in the vets waiting room and a covered trolley come in with a miniature schnauzer mama and her six pups, so cute and immediately surrounded by staff members all wanting a cuddle.
Cold and wet so indoor jobs only, few surveys done.
Long chat with my bf.
Equine girlie put out in a waterproof rug, only upside on current weather is at least there’s no flies bothering her.
The skies did clear a bit in the evening and we had a decent sunset at bedtime.

Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not the best sleep but managed to get up early without too much of a problem.
2) Another half day of invigilating. Worked with a different colleague from normal today.
3) Popped to Waitrose for a cup of tea.
4) Dropped off the final 2 election letters on my way home.
5) Went to the tip.
6) MrM came round for 2 games of chess. Then I went to his house for a cup of tea.
7) Sanded all the door frames upstairs and the rough bits of the wooden thing that stops you falling off the landing down the stairs. What is that bit called? Then sanded the moulding that runs down the edge of the steps.
8) Removed the fifth BT junction box that I have found in this house - unscrewed from IN THE LARDER. Then ripped all the long length of defunct cabling out, managing to give myself the wire version of a paper cut in the process... Removed the lampshade in the hallway and some defunct trunking that ran upwards from the kitchen door. That will take some filling tomorrow.
9) Made a roast dinner.
10) Looking forward to the Great British Sewing Bee just now. Hoping smaller son will make me a cup of tea, now he has finished his roast dinner!5 -

Hello again.
Still not totally right, very up and down but slowly getting there I hope.
Some pleasures:
1) Great news from SuffolkSue - and lovely to have you back again and sounding much more positive.
2) Had a rare at the moment trip out with my bairn, only to the shop to sort stuff for little fella's school residential (one night as he's only diddy) but it was lovely to get out into the real world, even if only briefly.
3) Been making use of my summerhouse for sitting and pottering and snoozing, a welcome change from being indoors.
4) Still not much of an appetite so lost a bit more weight, not an ideal diet really but I'll take it.
5) Lovely calls and messages from siblings and friends who thankfully understand when I can't cncentrate for long so short and sweet but much appreciated all the same.
Only been reading intermittently so hope everyone is ok.6 -

For yesterday,
Another bbrrr day with jeans, tee and a hoodie on, am looking wistfully at my summer clothes and dreaming of meals out in the garden!
Morning with the beautiful grey one, she’s always a tad sleepy first thing after a night out so everything was slowly done.Three baby sparrows lined up on the top of the swing seat waiting for food, just hope our local hawk doesn’t clock them.
Another appointment for small dog, this time it was my pal’s mobile grooming van. She had her summer cut so will need a coat when she goes for her walk, for the next few days at least.
Leek and cheddar orzotto for tea and warm PJ’s for the evening, refuse to put the heating on in June.5 -
Up at early o’clock and had a nice doggy walk.
Started working writing script.DD2 popped over , we walked to drop off a Vinted parcel. Met 2 separate people I know and had quick chat with them .
Back to work in afternoon and script sent off with bated breath and fingers crossed! It turned out a nice afternoon. Washing dried.
Positive call from estate agent. Will know more tomorrow! Yikes. Here we go again.
Had the rest of mince round for tea with new potatoes and peas and sweetcorn.7 -
1. Two very kind P+R bus drivers.
2. Stopped to let family of 5 cross a tricky roundabout road. Smiled thankyou's, then tiniest tumbled over her scooter. Many tears and Mummy's apology for delay. Really didn't matter.
3. Over 4hrs' forensic reading and notes on 2 appallingly written, supposedly 'legal' docs: 1 contract, plus Company Articles. Osp because &'s thorough filleting will help 3 others.
4. Yesterday's chance meeting meant & shared awareness of Food Warehouse 10% discount Tuesday with Mrs Nice Lady. She's very pleased.
5. & loves this niggardly 1⭐ review in dear grauniad,😁-
