Great news on a successful op SSue
Yes, very sad news about Michael Moseley and another one who enjoyed his just one thing series.
For yesterday,
Up early doors with small dog and had a good read of my book.
Bacon butties for breakfast while we caught up on all things Ambridge, I do like the new timetable when we can start listening to it as soon as we want on a Sunday morning.
Long soak in the bath then gave myself a pedicure although my painted toenails have seen very little sandal action so far this year!
Lazy afternoon on the whole but we did enjoy an evening walk around the field even though we needed a coat.
Watched and enjoyed Soccer Aid with half an eye on the cricket as well.7 -
1.Two churches and two services, 2nd being a special double baptism by ordained Dad.2.Only 3 NoMoreBooks from the conservation church - money in wall slot - and its concert space accoustics. A distinctive silver cover jumped out. Disbelief! It's only Persephone Book no 1, which & gathers!

'Home Going', by Yaa Gyasi.
(Wretched autocorrect just spotted and unpicked)4.Fenny stopbank walking while polo watching, then - with Thermos, healthy munch etc. - listening to young Carlos Alcaraz being both brilliant and young, again, and a ridiculous India/Pakistan cricket match.5.Back as first spits fell - laundry in, dry. Raining all night.5.Perfect rag rug is new kitchen mat - soft colours, CS, £2.👌🙂#This has suddenly been noticed in Town of Gown:https://www.facebook.com/share/p/n3jHTREzcarzq8Gi/

Suffolk Sue, that's brilliant news! The patience necessary for 'Do As Told' can be the hardest bit🙂, but you will.
DD - & has lost track of Hurrchhrrrrs these days. No idea who and what, plus new voices takeover, new storylines. Farming? What farming? Any fields ploughed and seed scattered recently? Fenny+rugby farming friends have been busy on both non-stop.

Hello everyone 😊
We’re on our happy holiday island of Lesvos so it’s pleasures all the way here.
I’ll start though by saying it’s too hot 🥵 for me (31 going up to 34 next couple of days) sorry to all you having horrible weather, it’s usually a few degrees cooler than that this time of the year.
We love it here, everyone is so friendly, the hotel is ideal, only 2 minutes from the beach, swimming in a crystal clear sea, gorgeous sunsets and scenery and lovely food and drinks 🥤Hope everyone is doing ok and glad Sue’s operation went well 😊7 -
Definitely not those temps here Paulie though it has stayed dry! Hurrah!Up early with doggy then dozed off again for an hour.Chat with friend on phone.
Went to beach with doggy, feels like forever ago it’s about 17 days or so. Which is too long! Anyway didn’t take a coat but was wearing a jumper. Should have worn a hat! Was wild!Popped into see niece for two minutes at her work to make arrangements. Popped into the 2 charity shops next to her work but didn’t see anything that grabbed my attention.
Home.Met neighbour across main road so went to chat to her . We were kind of shouting across a main road so that didn’t really work! Met old colleague on my way back home.Washing out and just back in so need to go and make bed up. Now…not later!Chat to sister.Got a work call so have a job later this week and will meet family tomorrow.
Just had tea…mince round, new potatoes , peas, sweetcorn and the last of the frozen sprouts!9 -
Pleasures for today.1. Good to be back at work but why so many emails?2. More staff than first thought as not showing on system, makes my life easier.
3. Chocolate
4. back home to be greeted by my little dog.
5. Tucked up in bed ready for sleep. Alarm set for 3.45am.8 -
Congratulations on the new hip, SuffolkSue.
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Started glossing 10am and did all round the hall, the kitchen skirting (second coat) and my room! That was 2 hours+.
3) Delivered election letters locally.
4) Walked into town and had a cup of tea in M and S. Spoke to a police officer in the park (the cut through to the canal path) as she was trying to catch a motorbike (!) that was driving around all the footpaths in a dangerous way.
5) Took smaller son to Sainsburys so we could get milk and petrol.
6) Baked some salmon for tea and had that with peas, pasta and mayo. (A childhood favourite recipe of smaller son).
7) Back to glossing! (It is satinwood so dries quickly). Did a second coat in my room and in the hallway. Found a child's paintbrush to do the fiddly edges.6 -
1 a much better nights sleep .I’m a side sleeper and it’s not allowed for at least 6 weeks !
2 nice visit from a good friend - she brought cake ! and didn’t stay for hours
3 phone calls and encouragement given
