🎉 Congratulations on the new job DD
For yesterday,
Laughing at a few early April Fools jokes inc VJ being chased by a wild boar.
Quick trip over to the yard to give girlie her meds, lovely in the sunshine and she’s enjoying the new grass growth after weeks of mud.
Out to lunch with two DN’s, a belated birthday treat. Cocktails and the best Caesar Salad I’ve ever had, then a look around the shops before coffee and blueberry Bakewell slice. They dropped me off home and I showed them the book of memories that my younger brother had done for me with lots of pictures of their Dad when he was growing up which they loved, we all still miss him so much but he would have been immensely proud of his two beautiful girls.
Another 3 points for United with other results going in our favour as well.
An evening walk with Capt S and small dog, the sun was just starting to set but still loads of birdsong coming from the trees and hedgerows.

Hello.Bedtime. Sigh! Hot water bottles! It’s cold upstairs. I’ve had the log burner on so downstairs is cosy but brrr!Up early and got up!Chat to solicitor and appointment made for Thursday morning.
Then down to seaside town ( parked up and went and said hello to my new house from the pavement to show DD2) to pick up 4 dining chairs.Took both cars but couldn’t get one in mine and only two in DD2 big car…this suggests how big the chairs are. I did not ask for measurements just were they high enough to seat at a table…should have asked for width! HUGE! Huge but gorgeous and I love them. Will be better in new dining room. Two are pink velvet and two are a bluey grey shade and beautifully upholstered. And a very good price. And a very nice lady was selling them. Anyway we had to do two trips so that was a blooming faff!Put my chairs up on marketplace for free as they absolutely do not owe me anything! Were a charity shop purchase yonks ago. Someone coming at weekend to collect.
Went to supermarket when DD2 left ( with a boot full of plants) and got RTC strawberries! That is all!Met my old primary school teacher and had a big chat with her and then her husband who was looking for her! Then bumped into mums NDN so made arrangements to go and visit her.Home and hello doggy! I just felt I was in and out all day so we had a cuddle. Then it was time to make Tuesday Tea. We had RTC lasagna, RTC garlic bread from freezer. Parsnips that were 15p at Christmas from the freezer ( I chop, parboil and freeze) , a carrot from a 15p bag, the very last of the sprouts from the freezer and the very last of the frozen peas and very nice it was too. Then pud was RTC strawberries, grapes and blueberries that nephew had forgotten to take home, a wee tiny RTC cupcake from my birthday party and a wee kit Kat Easter bunny that friend brought. They went home with the rest of the fruit. Laughter and chatter on the new chairs and then in front of the log burner. Used up the very last of the winter logs.
Packed a couple of boxes this morning. Took down Roman blinds that will be coming with me. Sat this morning and wrote a list of where everything’s to go. Totally different style of house.Had a work call as I was driving with offer of a job so called when I got home and got that booked in. It’s been a while crocodile 🐊 so was glad to get a service.Chat to sister this afternoon. Had so much to tell her!A good day in a running back and forth kind of way.8 -
1 The house is clean again, but it took a long time.
2 Stuck to the meal plan a seafood cocktail for lunch, and all leftovers into a chicken risotto, well I call it that purists would vastly disagree.
3 Various wash loads and a pleasure to be, clean bedding for us.
4 Just had the last of our hot x buns, Jaffa ones from Aldiiii.

For yesterday,
Spent most of the day muttering ‘ it’s not Monday, it’s not Monday ‘ under my breath!
Horsey town was horrendously busy due to the nearby big road being blocked, crawled through to emporium and did a food shop, quick coffee with my friend and a catch up on each other’s long weekends.
Spent the afternoon at the yard, gave my girlie a much needed mane and tail tidy up, she was patient even though a hay net was calling from her stable.
DB called in on his way home from work to pick up card & pressie for DSIL, quick chat as he drunk tea and ate choccy biscuits.
Tasty tea, veggie jambalaya followed by leftover crumble.8 -
Morning. Not posted as not done much due to awful headaches and deafness ☹️
did have one outing with my sister to local historic house and we saw the Egyptian goslings. There are 4 out of the 5 remaining, 🤞 they survive. Dad was was doing a great job chasing away a drake who he thought was getting too close, a great chase and lots of noise 🤣. We then popped to the garden centre where I picked up a couple of strawberry 🍓 plants and some violas. Then a toastie for lunch at the nearby gardens. After a sunny morning we got drenched walking back to the car.
I managed to get an appointment at Specsavers audiology yesterday morning for micro suction , had to go further away to get a quick appointment as I couldn’t bear it any longer. Anyway the upshot is as well as loads of hard wax in both ears, I have a perforated left eardrum ( that explains the pop and pain I had at the swimming pool 11 days ago) and an infection in the right ear! Anyway my head feels somewhat better and I can hear again after most of the wax was removed. I dropped a letter into the doctors afterwards so will see if they contact me/prescribe antibiotics as audiologist suggested.
I’m going to have a lazy day today to recover. Hope everyone is well and have a good day 😊9 -
Trying again from a MrT carpark.

Yikes Paulie, a perforated eardrum is dangerous for many reasons, let alone balance and hearing.

1. Spot Squirrel Nutkin! Had NHS connectivity yesterday while letter was printed. He paused at &'s Doblo, stared in hard, then zipped past and up, very fast.🤗
2. New SIM arrived, now put in by J, so & has her no. of over 20 years back again,🤞. Still need to discover how, when, by whom, a completely different number was substituted, and why. Worrying, as &'s bank card wouldn't work yesterday either. Luckily had cash.
3. Recorded msg says no specialist sarcoma nurse in today, but call first thing tomorrow. Lucky to have Dr's updated letter. Hadn't known it was 'high-grade', or future indicators. Grateful for follow-up everything now.🫶
4. Today and yesterday, wearing brand new M&S navy rain jacket with ivory cuffs and collar, from the £1 rail at &'s CS. Needed in crazy weather already.
5. Usual training night torrents for our poor seniors yesterday, but standing by the ovens as their munch bakes is lovely. Over 70 fed last night and they really appreciate everything. & takes leftovers to Jimmy's Night Shelter, after Ladies and Chaps take what they want in lunch boxes. No waste.

Looks like another downpour's ready to drop.
Yes Lainey, re: yesterday's traffic. Also, many new potholes, all ready for this year's Pot-Holympicstravaganza. Lethal at night with water everywhere rendering newbies invisible.😬👎🤬CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Hello.Woke usual time which is now an hour later which I don’t like! I’ll sort in a week or so.Pup dropped off.Son called so chatted for about 90 minutes which is long by his standards! Sorted through some of his stuff in the garage.Have stuff for charity shop.Put stuff on marketplace…how I loathe it…bringing back vibes from Melbourne 2017 when it frustrated me so then! Someone asked me to meet them tomorrow but to bear in mind they were meeting someone else in another town and would I give them discount. So that was a no and a no…then a well when can you meet me? I can’t that’s why it says collection only. Then someone just messaged is this still available? Yes. No more communication! Sigh! ( I think there will be much sighing) and someone else sent a message but I think FB thinks it’s a fake profile.Anyway pup was collected for his walk and then I waited till he was back and then walked round to mums NDN and had a lovely afternoon. Sat and blethered. Then got soaked walking home. Got some cuttings from the hydrangea from mums garden that overhangs NDN. Take them to my new garden. It’s looking very well but does need deadheading.Ate the last four from the box of birthday chocolates as I gave friend a whole load away last night! Wasted on me!Pup collected. See you Friday!9
