1. a lie-in as today was travelling home day
2. colleague signed me into the lounge which was very nice - we had a good lunch
3. 4 films (the joy of a day-time flight) - Zootropolis; Project Hail Mary; You me and Tuscany; Blue Heron (I had planned my programme the night before on Emirates website
4. lovely colleague insisted on coming to pick us up from the airport bus
5. and now i'm in bed with a cuppa and tonight's archers - the dog is pleased to see me and i'm pleased to see him but now i'm so pleased to see my bed even though a short flight compared with Oz @mhagster

1.No snakes of any kind in Aotearoa, Frith, DG. Here, only seen in CUBG so far, but old uni friend also sent 2 pics from her sister's last week, Downham Market. Snake in her fishpond attempting to swallow frog which fights back!

2. Excuses, excuses &!😁 Still haven't dealt with the grapes, heavier every day after 2 more lots of rain.

3. Off to catch up with another young rugby friend, already retired British Army major in his 40s. Kettle's Yard, here I come. Well, p+r first.😁

4. Finished Vesna Goldsworthy's extraordinary 'Gorsky' after early shower+hairwash. Now enjoying Richard Osman's 'The Last Devil to Die' and feel quite sure & is a natural Murder Club member, ex officio.😁

5. As above, all clean and ready by 0540 bells today. Sprig of Rosemary for Remembrance in hair. No excuse for pic of low muddy river water, swan+ducks. Lots of bread fed yesterday, walking and gazing at clouds, layers of cirrus.

Was a tad of a shall we or knot last evening. We had a choice of Arsenal or cricket. Critcket won. WobbleJuice was drunked. Cheese was had!

Now as I tells everyone I has a broken heart, after my prostate abscess was removed, I also tell them I have a blown gasket! Still on plaster things and I can sit at last!

Hello.

Lainey I hope you and yours are okay.

PK take care…our animals fill a big part of our hearts.

Yesterday I walked round to DD2 and we did an early morning Bathtime for Baby…it was lovely! New bath toys from Australia to be played with. Then we came round to mine. Picked up two aunties and we went out for a very nice lunch.

Picked a few books from that village phone box free library. Dropped them down at the caravan today.

The Aunties cooked dinner which was nice.

They had an early jet lagged bedtime and I wasn’t that long behind them.

I was up early with the doggy and stood outside in the dark and marvelled at the stars…feel I’ve not seen a star filled sky for a while.

Then the Aunties have spent the day with The Baby.

And doggy and I headed to the CP. we had a lovely walk…then I had just got in the pool and it started pouring! I was nothing if not determined ( and a tad wet but was wet anyway!) and swam my minimum! Only two weeks of pool time left.

Hot shower and a wee potter around , remade bed having stripped it on Sunday.

And home via garden centre to return a pair of crocs that were too wee.
Picked up a Vinted parcel on the way back. A gorgeous pair of green trousers.

And had just got home and got an email to say another parcel had arrived at a different location! Grrr! Anyway back out and got that. Put a wash on with those and my swim stuff…got them about 3/4 dry.

Cut the grass.

And that’s about it! Prepped for work tomorrow.

Morning all.

Gosh, a busy, busy week here and now it's Friday again.

Just popping in to say we are off once again on our jolly jaunts - ten days in Herefordshire this time, looking forward to it and a reasoble weather forecast too! We will immerse outselves in a world of black and white buildings and bookshops as a trip to Hay-on-Wye is on the agenda.

I'll catch up with all your news when we get back and hope all our absent friends are doing ok.

For Thursday

Up early as usual. Chatted with DD1 before they went out for the day and then I went out to work. Was meeting with 2 separate families which I don’t really like to do on the same day but sometimes that’s just how it works out.

Both were lovely, one I’ve met before and they had asked for me again which is always nice.

A quick pop in for 5 minutes to say hello Baby. And then a quick nip home to say hello Doggy…would you like your tea early? Well yes he would so he had a wee half tea at 3.30pm and then the rest when I got home.

The Baby came round here for a bath in the sink and a cuddle with her Aunties who were soaked on return!

I was out at my Thursday night group and was nice to catch up with folk for the first time since summer. Did not like driving home in the dark though.

And for today up early and sat to work for most of the day. Wrote two services and sent them off.

In between doggy and I went for a walk at CP. Got a decent haul of conkers and doggy got some blackberries at the end of the driveway. Had considered a swim but then it poured so we just came back as I still had to work!

The Aunties have been round at the Baby’s all day so they are going to make dinner when they get in. Bit late for my tummy eating then but I’ll have a wee drop! ( and it’s not me who’s cooking!)
