DigForVictory wrote: »"chicken curry with bitsers" - er, what are 'bitsers', please? Happy Anniversary! Contemplating you & Froglais at a respectful blast radius. Hang onto Raffles - we need the yellow stuff! You have enough parsley growing to make sauce?
5 Seems that even after BoP has told you so, and only in the last fortnight moved his tariffs to save wobbleade chits, the G’uvrnment is going to legislate to keep you paying more than you need too! Please always check the tariffs on offer at ustitch dot con and keep their greasy palms from being silvered! I say no more! MOVE!
4 BoPsie has car today as she is out getting her vitamin D inn! And other things around town. This weak is BoPsie and BoP week, well actually our eyes met a few days afore at the dance emporium! Today BoP was out with the bucket, and we met! Thirty two years ago! So there. Also we cannot live without a cat!
3 PM2DfV! Raffles, our current lodger, is most in a monk on! He had his flea and worm things yesterday, and he was his usual I’ll be under the bed if you need me. He had his collar fitting session and he is not happy at all! Fortunately he let BoPsie take it off! He is licking his paws!
2 Nite BoP will be beaching his looks in the gym. Trim session ahead of easter. As BoP is at the RAH, the beach will wait. Besides, it is cold this time of year! Avoid!
With all that happening inn you version of the Life of BoP, some things to look forward to are listed above!0 -
Gosh but it's might cold here in a horrid raw way...last week has been cold in a bright and sunny way!
Dog walk with Mr H and his old girl. One and a half times round the field then up the main road.
Lovely chat with DD1 as she took the train home.
Getting an appointment at GP for DD2 and having to wait a bit but then the kindliest Doctor spent time with her and we didn't feel rushed. Met friends sister and BIL when we came out so had a chat with them.
Went to Pizza H for lunch ...her treat! I had a couple of slices of pizza and 2 plates of salad. Popped into TK maxicles and got a skinny bin for bathroom and a RTC vase/ lantern doodah. I've smashed 2 vases recently.
Pharmacy, her work to hand in sick line, back to pharmacy. Walked there and back.
Washing in and almost dried as its been so blooming windy.
Will be a snacky tea tonight ...as in cba and they can sort themselves out!
Just done tedious online shop but another £15 off £50 spend plus £3.80 credit. Mainly stuff for 18th at weekend. Thank you Mr S.
It's been an odd day of people saying things you'd rather they hadn't. Friend saying surely you can't feel any worse than the day OH died. Well...it doesn't get any better!
Receptionist saying at doctors 'did you not like australia then? (Said I felt a bit cheekily) ' ...and I know I'm about to burst their bubble as I say , well actually my husband died.
Then meeting a couple who I've known since I was a young girl and I've already met her and explained about being back etc but she'd obviously forgotten and asking odd questions again and then her husband coming up and she's saying its mhagster and he's like I thought you were in Australia and me saying yes but I'm back for now and he kept digging and digging a huge hole and she ended up saying in a loud whisper 'her husband died' and when he was asking what DS was doing and I'd said nothing much ( we are all kind of doing a gap year!) obviously thought he was a blight on society and how did that go down in Australia and me thinking just really shut up and let me walk away now ...he's worked and studied and is just taking some time off and it's been a tough year on everyone and please can we just say goodbye now? Awkward!
Coming home and just being glad I'm home! With the heating on and no one saying anything offensive ...how ever well intentioned!0 -

Monday pleasures,
It was my birthday so Capt S brought me a cuppa in bed to enjoy whilst opening cards & pressies. As a treat little dog was allowed upstairs and discovered delights of laying on bedside sheepskin rug.
My favourite pressie was a 2018 Almanac from lovely man, with such subjects as listing breeds of sheep to planting to moon phases it’s very me
Treat of brunch out, had snorkers BOP!
Weather scuppered plans of going to pics so we watched Murder on Orient Express instead, KB with a big twirly moustache, oh my.
Chocolate fudge Swiss roll, my birthday cake, yum!0 -
Epic post DforV - even by your standards :T I know what you are saying about Miss Austen. i didn't really mean light as in frivolous but more light hearted, humourous - I love every word. I have given up snacking for lent - and then hopefully thereafter.
Pleasures since... when?
Swedish furniture is mostly assembled and only 2 swearwords used in the process. But they were good onesAnd it was 'im wot sed it, m'lud
Washing mostly dried on the line yesterday - even though it was being snowed on :rotfl:
DS home for the weekend. I love my boy and we are seeing quite a lot of him. Mainly because his hall flat is fairly grim at the moment. Luckily his house is sorted finally, for next year
DD got a bonus from work :T
HOuse is slowly getting sorted
Nice walk in the sunshine yesterday, even though it was bitter
Candlelit yoga - I didn't quite nod off during relaxation but two others were snoring.:rotfl:
leftover christmas turkey on Sunday with the trimmings.
Lots and lots and lots of snowdrops and crocuses. The daffs are starting to come through too - more fool them, don't they know it's freezing
I'm sure there's more, but that will do for now
Hope all are keeping snug as a bug in a rug and have nice days allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
5 As I has said about my pension afore in the parish, well today I invested again and it has only lost track of about two weaks, and BoPsie who decorated our house has no money except for a reduction inn her housekeeping. The pension is back on track and even better news, as the rates don’t have to be paid this month, so I am not paying the social workers and educationalists pensions either! Only HR types and softies get away with it for the moment!
4 Well beached inn the gym yesterday! Well ahead of target and trimming continues. Now that is good, and inn the media impacted news, behind the misery that is continuing in the east because of the snow, that diabetes type 2 has increased. Now this is because people do not eat proper foods and yet again I can express that I know five people that have self-cured from this by life choices!
3 After the gym, we has fingers of fish with salad and then cocoa and pikelets. W8RS currently sells proper pikelets and not the over pumped crumpet carp. Topped with proper butter and marmite! Proper food and good for you. Raffles, who is not impressed after his worm and flea on Sunday, is licking his paws. He had his treat as well. He has still got his collar! Update from BoPsie this morning, the collars that was fitted with a bell, no longer has a bell! Now for extra nice things in the lunch box for BoP this glorious day. We have strawbs, reduced at the emporiums. Tum is rubbed!
2 Morrow back to the quack about the atora thing. Going to be lifestyle choice and all that bullshine again, but I is no guinea pig! More later!
Now ends the Life of BoP for today!0 -
Belated happy birthday LAINEY I hope you had a lovely day!
1) We went for a second viewing on a lovely house, the vendor let us in out of the cold for the second time as the estate agent was late, but only a little. Love the place and so does DD1 who came with us.
2) Made the vendor an offer which is accepted but he's keeping it on the market as we're not sold yet.
3) Estate agent coming for pictures and details tomorrow morning and then we will be on the market.
4) Having a good old sort out in the summer house and shed and runs to the tip.
5) Stocked up on veg, got some milk, cheese and eggs and if it snows to any effect we don't have to go out in it, it probably won't though as we seldom get more than a scattering down here and that quickly melts. The forecast is a little nebulous for the next couple of days but we might get heavy snow at the end of the week.....and again we may not! we'll wait and see!0
