Good luck Mrs Lw hoping you get the house you're after and good luck with selling yours.

It's been snowing on and off though not lying , just flurries and blizzardy bits then bright sun again...washing out and dried in that icy wind!

Made a SW friendly lasagne today so that for my tea.

A couple of very cold doggy walks.

That's about it! Enjoy your evening :)

Evening all - hope all are staying warm

    Pleasures for today

    1. Not much snow here - the odd blizzard interspersed with sunshine
    2. Good PhD interview - woman was mad as a box of frogs :p
    3. Made use of the journey to stop at Dunelms to choose lounge curtains and do a tip run
    4. potato cakes and eggs for lunch and veg casserole from the freezer with a cheesy crumble topping. The freezer stocks have been so handy whilst we have been in disarray
    5. More sorting done - OH has kondoed loads of cds, dvds, vinyl and books. I've sold a good proportion (Or will have sold when I send them off) of them on Music Magpie for about £40 and we found 20 euros :T That will pay for more than half the curtains.

    Sleep well all
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Pleasures for today (Tuesday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Chickens are OKish but very lethargic in this cold. :-( Rumoured to be -8 outside now and was certainly -5 at 6pm.

    3) Had a cup of tea with my siblings this morning.

    4) Tasty egg mayo sandwich for lunch.

    5) Went into town for a cup of tea with my school friend. Picked up loads of stuff I'd been meaning to buy/replace for ages such as tea towels and a sieve.

    6) Sons both reasonably happy this evening.

    7) In bed with 1hwb and about to watch Holby.

    1) great design sprint at the uni. We are redesigning the whole website
    2) had to leave slightly early as invited to equality network 21st birthday celebration at Scottish parliament. Lightly snowing. Very pretty
    3) good session on train - I love working on trains.
    4) blizzard by the time we got to Waverley. Glad to get to parliament. Had to have bag searched - turned out I had two metal forks in the bottom of my bag lol
    5) great evening. New friends and old. Heart wrenching stories but lots of positivity (and wine and cake). Cheekily got selfie with Horse
    6) mrpiano offered to pick me up from station but turned him down cos snow quite heavy and our road is treacherous. Bus arrived at the bus stop 2 mins after I got there :-) already one car deserted on our road. and now i;m tucked up in bed with a cup of tea and the archers. Keep warm and safe.

  • Hi everyone,

    My pleasures for today

    1. It snowed & settled but only half an inch - so the world looks very pretty without causing problems:T:j

    2. DSis received her 2nd box of Ready Brek - she was really grateful as her area of France is bitterly cold brrr

    3. An absolutely delicious !!!128523; hm pizza - even better than the 1st one I made - brag, brag!

    4. DH really worked hard today & will be rewarded tomorrow with coconut biccies:)

    5. Unusual pleasure coming up - LO mushroom & lentil pie benefitted from having mash with it (a bit too rich without mash) so I have joined DH in being happy to eat again as I was ambivalent last night. DH wanted me to make again & I wasn’t looking forward to it - now I am:T

    6. Reading your pleasures.

    1. Snow - lots of it. Everywhere looks very pretty.

    2. On walk to bus stop across fields saw a dog stalking a bird. He didn't catch it but fascinating watching him. Had a quick chat with his owner.

    3. Not a long wait for the bus and arrived at work early. Luckily as 2 patients arrived early. Otherwise a quiet day and helped out with clerical duties and drank coffee.

    4. Left bit earlier for bus that was on time! Lovely walk back home. Sunny and still thick snow.

    5. Home and let chickens out for a while. They seemed bemused by the snow and kept flying.

    6. Enjoyed cooking a roast and ,unusually for a Tuesday. We all are together.

    7. Good news so far from friends tests at the hospital.

    Tuesday pleasures,

It’s rare that I sleep right through the night but always glad when it happens.

After morning snow flurries the sun came out, took advantage and headed out to stock up on birdseed and horse carrots.

Chicken and barley soup for lunch.

Over to see princess pony, she was warm enough in her rug but even the water in her stable had ice in it!

Caught up on tv, MB flirting with a swedish chef, Only Connect and trying to follow Marcella.

  • 1) House now on the market as of 12 o clock today.

    2) First viewing at 3.45 today, blimey, think we've chosen the right estate agent.

    3) New knife block and new tomato knife both arrived in todays post.

    4) No snow as yet but walking into the wind is painful, eyes constantly watering, pleasure was getting back home and indoors.

    5) Coming home to a lit wood stove and a warm lounge.

Stay safe wherever you are in the country, I think the UK is about to grow up weather wise!
