1 Its only taken years but I’ve used up all the candles stash.
2 Numerous wash loads achieved.
3 Pizza slices from freezer to oven for dinner, we really are starting to need a shop now.
4 I remember my parents having a stressless chair that was the most comfortable thing ever, I thought I would look up the sofas as the ones we acquired as a stop gap for £15 could do with replacing now and got a lot of a shock from £10k upwards. They look similar to what we have now.
5 I’ve just loosely meal planned for the week from the freezer.
6 I’m watching an old film the house across the lake 1954 with Sid James in and enjoying it.

Hello
Just In from being out for the evening!Up early and had the most lovely walk with doggy. Just us. Daylight just starting to keek through the dark so it wasn’t pitch dark. Then home, he had his breakfast then vomited it straight back up! Sigh!Walked to supermarket the shortest way and back home the longer way. Met friends out dog walking so had a nice chat with them. Was getting flowers for DD2 as she was having a birthday! She has bought a house so we were visiting this morning so they could take measurements. I just stood in the kitchen and had a lovely chat with the seller. Then we went to garden centre for brunch. I had a toastie. Then back home to collect the pup from mine, they were just about to head off when I got a beautiful bouquet of flowers from church delivered. I always get them on the Sunday nearest my husband’s anniversary. These were just gorgeous and very much appreciated. Chat with the person who dropped them off. Then quick change into appropriate clothing to attend a work event. Which I was there in a learning capacity. A beautiful service. Then home and hello doggy. Quick walk with him, then changed into my painty clothes again. Painted the garden shed and the garden table and have an achey back to prove it! When I say the garden shed it’s just the front door as it’s kind of wedged in between side of house and neighbouring fence. Shed paint came from my mums house and located in the garage today and table paint was luckily enough left over from last year! So no cost …other than a sore back!Washing was hung outside. About 3/4 dry. So heating popped on for an hour.Chat to friend on phone.
Then we went out for dinner which was very nice. Dinner was paid for by The Chap ( I had paid for brunch)
And then home…pup collected and off they went. Sigh said the dog and I, hot water bottles filled and hopefully stay awake to allow dinner to digest and to see Call The Midwife. Last episode and when it started I knew that by the time it ended it would be lighter and it is!It’s been a lovely day here. Dry and bright though cold.7 -
oops i just sent an email to the whole group instead of just one person - just as well i didn't send anything rude! i then of course further cluttered their inboxes with an apology. It's the President's bit of a newsletter so just means they're going to get it twice - once today and one tomorrow in the newsletter 🤣
1) woke to a lovely bright March day - cold but bright
2) Saturday's soak in the bath a day late due to being busy yesterday - just as good
3) lovely service - we sang Bruckner's Locus Iste and a beautiful John Bell setting of Agnus Dei
4) Walked the dogs down to meet DD1 who had met friends after church
5) and now we've got 10 candles lit (several from the 'help yourself' box at church, very mse) and watching Ghosts - we're up to series 3 part 6. She goes Thursday - how far will she get through the series?!MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Good morning. Frosty but bright. Much better than the endless rain
Went to watch DGS (9) play football yesterday. Lots of support for him with us two, DD and fiance, other grandma and grandad, little DGD and of course DS and DDiL. ( older DGD(15) was at home, allegedly doing homework!) It was silent support day. No shouting allowed. Only a polite clap if a goal scored ! So DGS got two claps, one assist and one score. It also saddens me that there is a roped off section between the edge of the pitch and the spectators to discourage anyone from running onto the pitch. Saddens me as it shouldn't really be necessary.
Back home to warm up, though really only my feet were cold. If we're going to make a habit of this I need some good woollen socks!
Spent much of the afternoon reading. Unusually for me, I've two books on the go but one, about mindfulness by Thich Nhat Hahn I dip into, reading a passage at a time and trying to apply throughout the day. The other is A Month in the Country by J L Carr and I'm loving it . So gentle. And both in the kindle daily deal so only 99p each. Very mse.
Keep forgetting to say, thank you Ampersand for the Secret Lives recommendation. Thoroughly enjoyed that.
Yoga today then coffee with friend
Happy 🌞 day everyone

For yesterday,
Had a rough night sleep wise with bad sinus pain so the pleasure of getting up for a cup of tea, painkillers and small dog cuddles.
Over to the yard to give both my girl and friend’s horse their medication, they were out so sloshed through the mud in their fields to administer. I did the other horse first as further away and my girlie followed me all the way down the line of the hedge, whickering as if to say er Mum, I’m here! She got lots of fuss plus a carrot & a polo then left her to enjoy the sunshine.
We were meant to be going out for lunch but still didn’t feel great so quiet afternoon at home, had a long doze and woke up feeling better.
All my daffs are out and with the bright yellow of the forsythia the garden is looking very cheerful.
Lovely afternoon walk with beloved and small dog, beautiful sunset.

Evening all
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Holiday planning. Less difficult than anticipated and very exciting.
2. nice leftover fruit from the previous day's fruit salad. Felt like a treat somehow.
3. good journey back - first time in daylight on a sunday for months!
4. chore was chored without too much aggro (had to lift carpet on stairs as we're having new banisters fitted)
5. my bed.
Have a good evening folks.I wanna be in the room where it happens7 -
Hello. Loving the light in the morning and evening. Hurrah!Up early.
Out in garden with my painty clothes on. Painted raised beds and started fence panels. It’s leftover from last year paint so I’m hoping I can get at least one coat on the fence panels ( the annual task bane of my life) without having to buy more.
Washing out and had a good blow. Was a nice day with a cool wind.Had to pick up DD2 for a hospital appointment. Managed to squeeze into a space. I hate squeezing into a space between 2 parked cars but just had to!Home. Brought washing in and popped heating on for an hour.
Made Stovies ( traditional Scottish dish) and it was very nice!Read library book.Annoyed at dog for being so blooming grumpy with other dogs! Grrrr! ( that’s me)
Got a lovely jumper off of Vinted delivered ( goodness knows what the postie thought…I could hear dog barking inside from the garden so I went round to front with my painty clothes on, wooly hat and at least 3 splodges of grey paint on my face! ) anyway jumper is the most gorgeous shade of green.8 -
MrU has gone, He walked out at about 5pm yesterday. I know which friend he is staying with but no one has been in touch. All his stuff is here.
I'm so sad. And this has really made his future life in the UK very uncertain.8 -

Love the Rev R Coles, we saw him a few years ago at the Cambridge Arts theatre.
For yesterday,
Woke up to blue skies and sunshine, washing machine on and bedding dried on line.
Into horsey town, usual route was closed due to flooding and town still very busy but made it to the emporium and big shop done.
Our team appointed a new manager.
My equine pal had a visit from the farrier, she does love him and drops kisses on his head as he works on her feet!
Watched the last episode of The Way, very well done I thought.
