Hello all. Hope you're ok, frith.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. began the next batch of marking. The marking itself is never a pleasure but beginning it is hard so good to get that over with.
2. Lost a couple more pounds
3. cuppa tea with a friend and a catch up
4. huuge 'free foods' tea that was called something else but was a lentil shepherd's pie
5. started watching 'One Day' on Netflix. It's charming (though i have an inkling of what's coming)
and today
1. breakfast on a steam train with OH. I bought it for his christmas pressie, the fact it is valentines is a coincidence. We don't really 'do' valentines. We do, however, send each other the same cards year on year. Mine to him is a comedy horse with googly eyes 😂
2. I'm gonna have a separate one for the actual train ride which was much nicer than i thought it would be, especially as it was such a miserable day
3. train ride to ICT - went smoothly for once
4. Home and woodburner lit - warms the place up so quickly
5. sea bass for tea. Nom.
Have a good rest of the evening all.I wanna be in the room where it happens7 -
Sore elbow, strained shoulder, sore head, sore arris...
Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Eggs, beans and olives for breakfast.
3) Went to Ludlow for the charity shops then the tea room. Chanced to hear a couple speaking MrU's second language so he said hello and we sat with them and chatted for an hour!
4) MrU cooked the tea.
5) Just took smaller son to Tesco.
Big post seizure neurology appointment tomorrow...6 -
Hello again.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow's appointment, Frith.
Recent pleasures:
1) Much milder and sunny weather, was very warm on our usual walk today. Feels like spring is just around the corner.
2) We have the new car. Hubby is very pleased with it, lots of features our old one didn't have for him to play with. Pleasure is that it's here now and soon will be part of 'normal life'.
3) No Valentine's Day pressure here, just our usual nice days, life is good.
4) Went in to check on son's partner who is off work with a nasty cold. We have had it so no danger in giving her a comforting hug, hope it helped.
5) Half term so plans to take little fella out for the next couple of days. A local castle tomorrow and what looks like a very interesting industrial museum on Friday after a ride on a tram.
And I finally finished the baby's banket - yay - and knitted a little teddy with the spare wool to go with it.
Off to bed now, night all.8 -
aw frith hope your arm better but you chasing MrU round did make my heart sing for you
1) teaching and lunch was provided - yum
2) lots of fruit left over so, having given left over cake to students (slimming world too vjsmum) tucked into slices of melon
3) choir practice for Ash Wednesday service
4) then the service
5) then off mennies for 2nd half of the footie - i think i have to accept there won't be any romance with DrM but we had a good night.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

For yesterday,
Coming downstairs and there was a card & a box of my favourite chocolate truffles next to my breakfast plate.
Lovely friend came with her mobile dog grooming van to glam up small dog, did her usual great job.
Over to see equine girlie, rain stopped long enough to get some work down then I had a cuppa and a natter in the tea room.
Four deer crossed the road in front of me, luckily I had seen them coming and had slowed right down, so beautiful and felt like such a gift.
We shared a bottle of something cold & sparkling with our tea…..then both fell asleep snuggled up on sofa 😊9 -
It’s still light at 5.30pm though it’s a wee bit misty here. It has rained all day.Up early.
We went to beach. Felt like it took an age as I think I got every red light! And so much water in the road.We had a lovely walk. Tide well out and we mostly had the beach to ourselves.
Then met niece and great nephew at beach supermarket and we had our breakfast. I had a toasted sausage sandwich. GN feeling much better as he was quite poorly last week.We had a FaceTime with DD1 who’s on her travels.Stopped at charity shop on way home and got a long but thin showerproof parka type coat. And a pair of jeggings. And then saw a big lantern of the type niece was looking for so I called her and yes she’d like it.Popped into big supermarket for caffeine free DC and met my sisters friends from forever ago. I’ve known them for more than 50 years. So had a nice chat with them. They just look the same! And home! Not done much but did clean my bathroom.Put three dressy coats up for sale on Vinted. From a different life and I just don’t wear them.More trashy ( but sooo good) Below Deck.Had beans on sourdough toast for tea.And a delivery of a new with tags anorak for me from Vinted ( funded by the last two sales) my big puffy jacket that I’d got about 18 months ago for a fiver in a charity shop had a busted zip that wasn’t repairable. So that came late afternoon and will do me just nicely!Listening to the blackbird in the garden singing it’s evening song. A sound that I’ve known forever…was my comforting sound in Melbourne that I had a blackbird nest in the hedge between us and next door. And it’s all about the robins in the morning but nice to have heard the blackbird in the past few evenings.DD2 I had a dream the other week and you and Dr M were an item…so it might still happen! 💕10 -
1 The house is clean again in time for the weekend, well that and Friday.
2 It’s been so mild, we sat in the garden watching the ferrets amble around for a while.
3 Dinner was a simple chicken with greens, gravy and mash.
4 The stray from the vets, has been named here as “Hershey”, I might be buying some unsweetened Hershey coca to celebrate and for the obligatory photo.
5 Bulbs are starting to sprout.

Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Pottered around doing odd jobs during the morning.
3) Floody City - managed to find a free parking space then looked round the cathedral.
4) Parked (also free!) at the woods then walked through to the hospital.
5) The brain scan showed nothing except sinusitis. The very chatty man thinks it was severe delirium and fainting on to his head. There will be an MRI due to family history but all good. He was very interested in our everlasting scabies (!) and said we must ask to see a dermatologist.
6) Waitrose for a lovely pot of tea.
7) Cooked fish, chips and peas for tea.
8) Chess.
Hopefully my brother is coming tomorrow to help us dismantle the ginormous fitted wardrobe in smaller son's room. We can then redecorate - the LAST ROOM!!!8 -
PK, good name - but i wouldn't bother with the chocolate, it tastes like vomit to me... 🤔🤣
Pleasures for today
1. OH arrived safely in the early hours and we both slept through to the (too early) alarm
2. after a faffy start we (OH really) cut some hedges
3. we didn't get wet
4. diet coke chicken for tea - a SW recipe that was lish
5. the Dog House is back
Night night all.I wanna be in the room where it happens8 -

1) dogs slept till the alarm again - it can't last but that's 3 nights in a row!
2) pancakes, blueberries and yoghurt for breakfast
3) choir rehearsal - lots of lovely music - i've brought the Palestrina home to practise
4) nice walk home with one of the tenors - he's booked his hols to the US and will catch up with Mr Piano
