Oh M hagster. How frightening. But so glad he's ok now x7

Was halfway through a post and my words suddenly disappeared!Anyway main one was son is okay. Think he got a big fright and obviously annoyed about his car but it’s a car! They can be replaced.
So not the best nights sleep but up early with doggy. That’s his prebiotic finished this morning, just finishing the chicken and see how he gets on going back on his normal diet probably by Wednesday.Pup dropped off at 8.30am . Hello! So he was picked up late morning by his dog walker. And out for a couple of hours.
Chats with all three children today.Chat to sister.Finished power washing…as in I’ve had enough of it being left in the living room so it’s back in the garage, only the side path to be done but nobody sees that so it can wait ( mainly as I can’t see it!) All looks much better than it did. But so much garden work to do come spring.DD2 took a half day so could she have lunch instead of tea. Absolutely. So I made chicken and leek pie with lots of vegetables and it was very nice. And she brought a crème egg for pud. And au revoir pup!Just hoovered and washed floors as no point doing it before the second Labrador appears! Do it when he’s gone! It’s been so wild and windy all day and is now raining again. I’ve candles lit and wee fire faux flames on ( not the heater part) and living room so much nicer without a power washer sat on a towel at the patio doors 😆 dusted mantelpiece and shelves in alcove removed some ‘wintery’ stuff! Springs a coming.Tidied junk drawer…seriously who actually needs a jam jar with elastic bands in it? Any suggestions? They come from buying flowers!9 -
I too have lost my long and detailed post, been out all day and only just home so can't face starting over but just to say thank goodness your bairn is ok, mhagster. Those middle of the night heart-stopping calls are the very worst but good you could reassure yourself in the cold light of day that he really is ok x8

For yesterday,
Busy morning with shopping, chores etc but lots of patches of snowdrops and daffodils spotted & enjoyed.
Did manage a chat with my oldest pal ( as in time known, not age! ) and plans made to meet up at the weekend.
Spent the afternoon with my pony, she had obviously had a good roll out in the field so first job was dry mud removal ☺️ but we also did some work over poles and, despite other horses behaving badly in the wind, she was very good.
Tea was a big dish of macaroni cheese with lots of added extras, plenty of leftovers too.
Uni Challenge followed by Silent Witness, we like Monday night tv.

Grrrr! Why do my words keep disappearing!
Up early…dozed…up!
Went to castle. Had a lovely bacon roll…one more left on my voucher.Had a lovely walk. Lots of snowdrops.
Went to supermarket. Left my specs in the car and couldn’t be bothered going back for them so had to keep putting my sunglasses ( prescription) on to read stuff 😎😆
Home. Little bit of work stuff.
Went a nice walk by myself. It was bright today but such a cold wind. I always feel guilty when I walk without dog but he just wants to sniff and take his time ( which is fine when we are doing that kind of walk!)
Picking up some free furniture for niece tomorrow. From local FB page. I’m going to decorate great nephew’s room so thought they’d be ideal.Just one Tuesday tea guest tonight. Made taco bowls filled with chilli and rice and salad. And a banana bread made in the slow cooker. Three ingredients: about 4 squishy bananas, 1 tin condensed milk, 2.5 cups SR flour. Mix together then put in slow cooker on high about 2-3 hours. I pop a bit of baking paper in at the bottom and put a tea towel under the lid to prevent moisture drips.
chatter and laughter and passed on some craft items another friend was getting rid of.10 -
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a great sleep. £64 of scabies cream is on its way (again).
2) I weeded the front garden during the morning. Lots of bulbs coming up, planted by the man who lived here before me. MrU hoovered the car out.
3) Went out for lunch with my mum and dad.
4) Lots of paperwork this afternoon. Tried to change MrU's address with his doctor (again). Wrote against a ridiculous parking charge that says I was in Sainsburys for 9 hours (again). Other little bits done.
5) Smaller son and I went to Sainsburys.
6) Have just booked tickets for an away match in Oldham, where the tickets are only £1 each. It is a shame the transport up there is quite pricey!
7) Had a game of chess.8 -
For yesterday,
Very windy day and the bird feeders all went flying, much to the delight of the pigeons who only usually get the pecking leftovers.
Drove near to cathedral city to visit a tack shop that stock a particular brand of horsey supplements only to find that, despite different opening times on their FB page, they are closed on a Tuesday, gggrr. Made the most of the journey over to visit the Sainsbobs there and picked up a few jars of the lemon tea that I like but the emporium no longer stocks.
Tidied up my mare’s mane which had got very thick over the winter, she’s so used to her daily medication now that she opens her mouth for the syringe!
Heavy rain came over and my beloved volunteered to do the early evening dog walk by himself so that I didn’t get wet, as he said no point in both of us getting soaked.
Tried to listen to the football but weather so bad that it was called off within the first 10 minutes, had to feel sorry for the hundreds of Bolton fans that had made the journey down.

Morning.
Lost 3 posts recently...just vanished. Grr!
So, short and sweet today:
1) Lovely few days with family, eating, drinking, chatting, laughing. Perfect.
2) My car has now gone to sis-in-law, not sad at all, very relieved decision made.
3) Meds have calmed my face down, I look normal again.
4) More holiday plans made for later in the year.
5) A lovely busy time but a lovely 'no plans' day today to recover.
Hope this posts, have a good day all.6 -
Lets see if this works tonight
Rubbish sleep so was glad to just get up. Out with the doggy early and it was lightly snowing.
Pup dropped off at 8.30am…I was out defrosting a seriously frozen car which I then had to redo an hour later.
Had a service to lead this morning and I am so anxious beforehand, fine once I’m there and taking the service.
Home and chatted to sister on phone.
Pup,picked up for his walk.I started to walk to shop to post a Vinted parcel…and was waylaid by three seperate chatterboxes 😆probably the biggest one being me of course 😆 so it took longer than it should have done! And decided to walk the long way home so popped in to old work for the loo! It was a nice bright but blooming freezing kind of day!And came home and sold another Vinted item so will do the same again tomorrow.
DD2 picked up pup and brought me tulips.Went out to collect some furniture that someone local was giving away free. For great nephews new room! Anyway one of the sets was way too big for my car so have the smaller sets in car.And home! And just had peanut butter on rather random bits of toast…was all the wee bits of sourdough bread left in the freezer .Will be heading to bed soon.9 -
Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Good to get up after very little sleep.
2) New scabies cream has arrived! Hoorah!
3) Another sample kitchen floor tile arrived. We have to admit defeat and say we will not be able to add to the 3 metres squared my brother gave me. This gives us free reign in choice of design...
4) Bigger son came first thing and worked out what was wrong with MrU's bike and we ordered the new part. He then mended the lid of the kettle! Nice to see him.
5) We went to Floody Town for the charity shops. MrU bought 2 tops and I bought a gardening book. We ate chips in the car.
6) On to Shropshire town but didn't find anything in the charity shop there.
7) Had beef stew for tea (made on Monday) then I used the last half of butternut squash to make similar to a pumpkin pie.
8) Might have a game of chess just now.
In other news, my second mum and dad are visiting tomorrow morning. They did come shortly after I moved here (July) but had to sit in the garden as the house was mid decorating.8
