@Purple_kitten Teambodyproject - found it over lockdown - there's quite a few bits free but after a couple of weeks I treated myself to a subscription - it has loads of variety on fitness level, time and cardio / flexibility / resistance. Their moto is progress not perfection which I really like.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

@purplekitten I sold quite a few things on Vinted in the late summer. And I’ve bought quite a few things too.I would make sure you are very clear in your description of each item. Try and be realistic about how much you will get but also be aware people can low bid but you don’t have to accept their offer. Say it’s something at £5.00 and they say will you accept £3.00 you can say no but counter offer with £4.00 or stick to your guns about the £5.00 but it’s still up for sale a month later! If you go in to delivery settings you can chose how you want to send things. I would absolutely recommend that you choose what suits you best. I didn’t initially and if they chose one of these blooming lockers I’d end up driving round the blooming town trying to find an empty one and end up spending more on petrol than I was actually getting for the item. So you can default choose the delivery method you want. I chose the one where I could easily drive/walk to.You go into designated shop, they’ll either have a self serve printing machine or they’ll do it for you behind the counter. You just show the QR code you’ll get when you have a sale. And then it’s printed out, stuck on and that’s it! Keep your receipt until your buyer has okayed the delivery. You don’t get paid until they have received and okayed the item. And you can either let it build up and use it to re-buy stuff or you can transfer to yiur bank account. I did a bit of both.Be honest in your description. If it’s a size 14 but more like a 12 then say that. Or if it’s well worn and bobbled say that and price appropriately.I bought parcel bags in Home Bargains and used the A4 size for most of the things I was selling . The bags were ( at the time) about 79p for 6.
I got rid of loads of stuff and most of my clothes are from charity shops anyway but were in good condition. It felt quite cathartic having a clear out. And I would do it in groups of maybe 5 things at a time so it didn’t overwhelm me especially if I maybe sold three items to three different buyers at tree different delivery points. And also you could literally just be back in from dropping something off and then you sell your next item!
Hope that all helps. Anything else just ask!I have a ‘thing’ for Cath Kidston bags and have got a few from Vinted at really good prices! Bought my CK laptop bag from there and it had never been used and they enclosed the receipt which was from 2016 and had just probably been an unwanted gift in a cupboard! I bought a Nigel Slater book I’d wanted but could never see in charity shops. But when you’re buying you’ll have to take in to account the actual price, the added insurance and then the postage . So it can make a £2 item nearer £6. I got a fabulous CK polka dot tablecloth for £2…said to DD2 last night just move that back and ever so glad I did as she spilled gravy on the table! One last thing…when you’re hanging up your clothes to take a photo ( I just use the back of a door) make sure they’re ironed! There’s nothing worse ( IMO) than someone selling a crumpled shirt/dress for the sake of a 30 second blast of the iron! We’ve been a very frosty doggy walk this morning! Gritter was just going by as we were heading out.8 -
For yesterday,
A much cooler morning when walking small dog but a bacon sarnie when we got home made the stomping along worth it.
Tackled and scaled Mount Ironmore, had been left for weeks and there were things I wanted to wear, see below
Another family get together, this time at my DB’s, played silly games and caught up on all news.
Driving home and Mhags’s yellow moon was just rising above the clouds, very atmospheric.
The unadulterated joy of the Gone Fishing festive special, the friendship, the scenery and Ted the dog, just perfect.8 -
Morning all 😊
2 lovely days, Visited a NT house, Greys Court near Henley on Thursday. Very beautiful. Followed by an excellent pub meal and an overnight stay near Oxford. Then yesterday we went to Christmas at Blenheim Palace. The theme was Sleeping Beauty and it was magical. Interesting Churchill exhibition as well. Another good meal at the same pub and then a trouble free journey home. Feet up, telly on while OH snoozed. Glass of wine 🍷 and cheese and biscuits 😊🎄
Easy weekend, finish tidying up and putting away and maybe sort out a pie from leftovers I bunged in the freezer!Have a good weekend 😊8 -
A quick hello, just heading off to bed.
Big entertaining day tomorrow as well as trying to pack as we are up and off early on New Year's Day. Not a lot happening here apart from food prep and cleaning and still trying to get over this blummin' virus. All would make for very boring reading so will leave it there.
Just wanted to grab this chance to wish all my pals on here a very happy and healthy New Year, looking forward to another year of sharing your company. And my wish for everyone everywhere - Peace and Plenty.
Catch you in 2024.

Good morning. Dark!
We've had a 'back to normal' few days here, which I've enjoyed. Leftovers either eaten or frozen. Presents put away and wrapping disposed of, or kept for next year. Incidentally my daft DD wrote who to/ from in silver pen on the gift bags! I shall have to find a way to cover that up! Or just unashamedly cross it out and re-use them for her gifts next year😂
A bit livelier today though. Meeting DS and family for lunch, and then our friend coming round this evening for NYE drinks and nibbles. Very low key but a lovely way to end the year.
Wishing you all a Happy an Peaceful New Year
Thank you again for all your support in a tricky year for us. Next year will be better!!
Happy NYE everyone xx

For yesterday.
Bit of a lie-in followed by boiled egg and soldiers.
Into town as I needed a plastic syringe for girlie’s medication, had completely forgotten that it was Saturday and twas heaving! After the chemist I popped into cheap shop opposite and got a calendar for £1 as, despite using the one on my phone, I also like to have one hanging in the kitchen. Also went into emporium for some more clementines and picked up a rtc continental meat & cheese platter, again for £1.
Filled up the bird feeders and noticed a few snowdrops coming up on small rockery, earliest I’ve known them to show.
At the yard, sorted through our feed bins and checked levels of supplies. She desperately needs new feed bowls so must remember when next near the store. Gave her a groom and popped stable rug on, she seemed in happier mood today and was very affectionate so think it may all be hormonal, the meds should help.
Snorker and chips for tea. Tried to watch remaining episodes of Vigil but had forgotten a lot and I have to say it hasn’t grabbed me like the first series so conceded defeat and watched Men Up instead which was very good.

1) for the 2nd time this week Luton match was on tv but same time as a Celtic match so didn't hold out much hope for getting it on and yet when I arrived the lovely landlord had reserved the front parlour with Luton on just for me and DrM - it's the room with the Christmas tree and the fire - I felt very loved
2) DrM got in the toasties and coffee - not the result we hoped for but a good match, very exciting to the last kick
3) by which time it was chucking it down - we got the bus home!
4) my new ipad arrived and DD2 set it up - just need to get a cover for it - then she set off for Edinburgh and all was well until...
mum couldn't find her metformin tablet - she has an annoying habit of getting it out and putting it on the table next to her dinner (I have asked her to put it in a bowl but to no effect) and she'd been reading the RT so thought she might have knocked it on the floor. Quick look at the web then a longer phone call to the vet then a call to the animal poisons line - they're totally self-funded and cost £45 for a consultation. I had weighed the dogs before phoning the line and the last pleasure is...
5) the dose was below the threshold hooray so no costly visit to the vet (£360 plus treatment) and 30 minute walk to vet in the rain as dd2 had car. I took the boys for a walk, put their bed right next to mine, slept more fitfully than them and fed them at 6am by which time if there had bene any bad affect, I'd have known - then slept. so my pleasure is the wonderful animal poisons line who put my mind at rest. Hats off to the lovely lady who took my call at 9:20 on 30th December and calmed my nerves.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Mhags - which 'skinny minnie' club do you do? I need to lose some weight and am thinking of SLimming World online - might encourage OH to lose a few pounds stone too.
Pleasures recently
1. A lovely couple of post-christmas days. Doing not much at all. unusual for me
2. including a walk on Cannock Chase with OH while the weather was nice. THe rain came in just as we got back to the car
3. And a trip to Villa Park yesterday. DS was at work so i had his season ticket - the Villa won in a game of many things - red cards, disallowed goals, penalty
4. the nice food continues - chicken curry from OH's present of a curry paste, broccoli and stilton soup, smorgasbord of 'things' and leftover curries from the freezer. Most of the leftovers have gone now - including the christmas cake (DS 'effing' loves christmas cake apparently 🫢🤣 - I shall make him one in the new year for his birthday in March).
5. The christmas tree is down (and binned - it's quite old and owes us nothing. I'm hoping for a real one next year). Lounge is cleaned. Nice to have some sense of 'normality' (whatever that is).
We're off to Marrakesh tomorrow. Last time i went to Morocco I hated it, but am much more traveled now so hopefully less of a culture shock.
Happy New Year all.I wanna be in the room where it happens8 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday, confusingly)
1) Sat awake from 3-4 a.m, chatting and listening to the birds waking up. A bonus side effect of scabies (the nice chat). (I don't know why it is so much worse during the night).
2) Went to floody city to look at the floods (!) and shared a portion of chips which we ate behind the flood barrier.
3) Popped to the new little Sainsburys.
4) I took the mattress to the tip (smaller son has had a double mattress for the first time, extra long as he is 6 feet 4).
5) I then went to M and S and had a pot of tea by myself and looked at my magazine.
6) Made wraps for tea.
7) Just cooking mince pies as I type.
8) My brother will be joining up from 10pm for Wii games and food and smaller son has promised to leave his room...
Happy New Year everyone!
Fireworks are being let off already out the back here.7
