Highdays, you sound very organized.
1 I made a quatre quarts cake, as I was curious to if whipping up the whites and then folding in works, it does.
2 I forgot to meal plan, but luckily had some reduced sausages in the fridge so grilled them up, poached an egg, Heinz beans no added sugar ones, and dry pan fried potato, reminded me of the meals my mum would make me as a treat when very young.
3 Tidied out the fridge, we have quite a shopping list, partly as I’m in the making/baking mood.
4 Sherbert a very dear to us ferret has been under par but so far this is the second day she seems back, completely on form, but is still demanding her “special soup” aka extra stuff to make sure she has fluid and weight to fight things off.
5 Watching an old film with Alexander Sim in, I do like him.

Haha, PK, it does sound that way, doesn't it?! But the truth is I'm a very lazy person so the reason for all the lists and batch cooking and panic stations is that I only every really properly clean and tidy my house when people are coming so then it's a mad panic to get it fit to be seen. I wish I was the sort of person who did a thorough clean every week but I'm not so I live in fear of anyone just dropping in! It will take us the next two weeks to get it sorted!
Fingers crossed for your results this week x5 -
@Purple_kitten - give Sherbert some extra hugs as we are thinking about her.5

Good morning.
DfV - amazing post, Even more so than usual. I love my air fryer. It's not one with a drawer; it's more like a mini oven with two shelves. I don't use my proper oven very often at all. Oven veg, cos I do loads and it wouldn't all fit in. Victoria sandwich, cos I don't quite trust it. But I do biscuits and crumbles. And of course, sausage, chicken, fish. It's much quicker and easier to clean too.
P Kitten - fingers crossed x
I'm back on steroids ( nasal polyps/ asthma flare up) so sleeping even worse than usual but still had a good weekend.
Saturday popped to see DS and family. Very lucky that they live near enough to just drop in for a cuppa and a chat.
Sunday, out for lunch with DD and fiance. Ages since I've been out for Sunday lunch but then the fish dish was swordfish and I couldn't resist that. It was lovely so still no Sunday roast. And I had a Tia Maria coffee too!
The rest of the day was spent lolling about!
Back to yoga today, if I can negotiate our village's network of roadworks and get out!
Happy Monday everyone7 -
For yesterday,
Still felt a bit rough so a quiet day at home, we watched the cricket, listened to the radio and enjoyed a roast chicken lunch.
Did get out for a walk in the afternoon, very blustery and a fallen tree blocked a road in the village for a bit, the beech trees shed a few small branches.
Buttered crumpets for tea and we watched an old episode of Vera7 -
Hope you’re feeling better today Lainey
Had a very early night last night and slept quiet well. Woke up early. Sorted dog out then went back to bed for a bit.
We went to the beach for our walk this morning. A beautiful bright morning but blooming chilly.
Popped in to see niece at her work.Got some bunches of 35p flowers.
Nice drive home.Wrote a list of chores and ticked them all off. Hoovered. Hung out a washing. Emptied bins. Sorted out fridge. Tidied up flowers.Chatted to sister on phone.Walked to supermarket the long way. Met someone I know, had a chat with them. Popped into old work and had a quick chat. Walked back a different way but also the longer way. Met friend just coming out her car…we’d just been texting the hour before sorting out lunch date for next week! Quick chat then had to head off to get to…
Mobile library! Still such a treat! Took out four books.Home and hello doggy. That’s me in now.Cooked chicken Kiev for dinner with steamed veggies, very nice it was too.Wrote DD1 Christmas card so I can get it posted. Had a wee tear as she’s my Christmas loving child. And I don’t really miss her, miss her as I kind of know where she is but I miss her at Christmas time and doing Christmassy things together! I just keep sending her things on Instagram 😆 that I think ooh we would like to do that together! And a beautiful sunset and a star filled sky.7 -
1-5 I’ve received an early birthday gift, the consultant phoned, my results are through, I’ll need a course of meds, and final surgery in 6 weeks, but I’ve been given all clear the cells didn’t replicate, no words, we just need to tell our bodies to de-stress now.

Wonderful news PK x
For yesterday,
One of those days when lots of niggly things interrupt the flow, still feeling below par so more lemons & ginger into the shopping trolley.
Parcel arrived with one of eldest DSS’s Yule pressies but quality not great despite the price tag so that will need returning.
Over to see the beautiful grey one, she is still so itchy and, despite being on antihistamines, some large bumps come up on hindquarters so straight on phone to vet, free call out day is today and we are on list!
At least tea was nice, chicken and apple cheese bake.
Was grateful to go to bed and finish the day.7
