@Highdays - Those are the very best kind of Christmas Tree in my opinion. These are really family trees and the only kind I have in my house. My sister has themed trees but she also has a family tree (she had 23 trees up last year).7

Hello. I’m still up which is late for me but had a snoozette this afternoon so it must have revived me!Up early and out with dog for a quick walk at 5am. The most stunning moon in the sky.Quick chat with DD1
Put the fire on.
DD2 and pup came over this morning.I was reading then…I woke up! And the fire was out! Wasn’t putting it back on. It’s been a very cold day.
Started festive decorating…tree is up. Just fits in the alcove space at side of new fireplace.
Chat to friend as I was decorating tree so it wasn’t as emotional as it usually is as I was talking and listening…I have special decorations for my husband which do make me cry that I’m putting them up and he’s not here with us.Read a bit more
Watched Strictly. All the good ones are left in so it’s any one of them can leave now.8 -
For yesterday,
First real ground frost of the season, topped up the bird feeders.
Got busy and ordered a few presents, apart from one where there was no option but to visit the big river site, all from small independent businesses, let them have our money.
Over to see my girlie, made her comfortable in her stable and chatted to my friend, cold again and grateful for my warm coat & gloves.
The treat of a payday Chinese takeaway.
Letting small dog out for final garden visit and marvelling at the halo around the full moon, think it said in my Almanac that the bright planet close by is Jupiter.

Good morning. Chilly here.
My foray into the garden on Friday was short lived. It was SO cold. I just clipped some ivy, eucalyptus and rosemary and hurried back inside. DH had trimmed some conifers so we've nearly enough for the wreaths and I'll top it up during the week
Had a lovely evening yesterday. We all, inc DD and fiance, went to DS for curry night. The curry was a takeaway and was great. Even DGD (3) tucked in. I'd taken the Florentines ( never making them again!) And the trusty oatie biscuits and both went down well. It was great to have everyone together, chatting and laughing.
Today will be a quiet day
Happy Sunday everyone

Quiet day but a nice quiet day.We were out at 5am for an early morning foray.
Then I came back to bed and read, dozed, read! Was eleven o’clock before I got up which was ridiculous but I wanted to finish my book.A bit of festive decor pottering around.Just made a small apple crumble as I was using the oven to reheat leftover chicken pie. Spare crumble mix in the freezer.Lots of doggy cuddles which is always nice.7 -
Tried another post, included pic.
Was finishing osp 4 and all just disappeared again.
Need to head back now.

A few recent pleasures:
Beautiful moon and planet (Jupiter?) next to it.
Meal out with 2 of our old quiz friends, one has moved to Yorkshire so we only see her occasionally.
Catch up with old College friends on WhatsApp and a proper phone conversation with one of them.
Emergency call out to OHs mum, she had slipped off the bed whilst getting dressed and couldn’t get up. Took the 2 of us, she’s ok, but it’s becoming a worry.
Roast chicken dinner with pigs in blankets, stuffing, roasties, yorkies, sprouts! etc 😋
In bed now, on here and with my heat pad warming my back.
💤 night all 😘6 -

Yay to that win DD and glad to hear that you are finally starting to feel better.
For yesterday,
We had tentative plans to head over to Ipswich for a Christmas Fair but one look at the grey, cold and dismal day put us off that idea. Glad we did coz later reports said that the queuing traffic was horrendous.
So we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast instead whilst catching up on all things Ambridge, lovely Jim.
Finally got round to measuring up the bedroom windows and ordered new curtains, also ordered a blind for the ensuite window.
Got bundled up and went for an afternoon walk, good to be out and certainly blew the cobwebs away but lovely to come back to a warm house, counting blessings.
Lit the candles and snuggled down for the evening.6
