Come on the AB’s! We willing be cheering on.
For yesterday,
A top up food shop and a quick coffee with friend.
Catching up on chores which have been pushed aside for things far more interesting this week, as always pleasure is when done.
Not mentioning the cricket, oh dear!
Time spent with my horse, bit of work done in the autumn sunshine and we both got warm.
Cosy evening and enjoyed All Creatures, my small crush on Sam West’s Siegfried continues unabated.7 -
1. Debadgered chez Salon &,😁.
2. What a big full(or nearly full)creamy moon in late afternoon sky today!
3. So many more walnuts! On way to hang out laundry, saw dozens fallen. Gathered several kilos. Too dark to see the rest. Tomorrow osp,🙂.
4. This evening's supper, half rtc smoked salmon 6 egg omelette+h-g toms, very lush. Other half tomorrow.
5a. 🏉🏆bronze medal match seen on this phone+R5 commentary. Tighty-tight final score.
5b. Further matters🏉🏆😁.
Preview out early, as young kiwi 1st XVer A. will be in Stade de France demain!!!!!🤩🖤🤍👍🌟 What a fabulous time he'll have, hopefully a winning one for Aotearoa! Warned him to set off VERY early, as restricted funnelled-entry security has caused many spectators to miss large lumps of games.
Thankyou Lainey - yes, yes, yes 🏉🏆PLEASE!
🇳🇿🏉🏆Kia Kaha Arohanui!🏉🏆🇳🇿

Good morning!Safe travels to DD
Its a beautiful morning here…when it eventually became light! We’ll have an extra hour of light tomorrow morning though. For Friday.Up early.
Pup dropped off at 8am. Hello! Oh my goodness the pair of them were full of silly nonsense! I think not seeing each other for a few days makes a difference!I’d an appointment with a friend to sort some stuff out. She was very helpful. Home and hello doggies! With the pup saying oh I’m so glad to see you. I thought you were never coming back! Repeat over and over again for about 15 minutes!Started a new library book and it’s a good one so I’m just in reading mode at the moment!Pup picked up.Had a RTC curry from the freezer for my tea with some steamed veggies.Blinds shut and lights off out front as it was Halloween in our town so hid through the back with my book and a dog! Can’t be jigged with the door going every 5 minutes and dog barking so we avoid! Though I do love all things halloweeeny! But next door had something noisy that must have went offf every time someone came to their door.Right! Do have a lovely Saturday, we are off to our castle soon for a walk.7 -
Quiet on thread, hope all ok x
For yesterday,
Capt S had day off so no rushing up, leisurely cup of tea and reading in bed.
Breakfast then bed changed, upstairs tidied and then stopped to give myself a mini manicure ahead of no 3.
Changed and then drive through Cambridgeshire countryside to lovely pub for lunch, the osp part was all paid for by voucher gifted to beloved by DSS’s for Fathers Day, yes that’s how long he’d had it ☺️Tasty, tasty food and we lingered to really enjoy, I drove back as only fair that he had a drink with meal.
Not much else achieved apart from much reading, catching up on various quizzes. Yes to beautiful, nearly full moon watching over us during evening walk with small dog.7 -
Still full of lurgy and mostly on sick bed/ sofa ☹️. Call back from doctor yesterday and another course of antibiotics prescribed and collected by lovely OH.
Barbecue spare ribs, chips and peas from freezer last night, it’s nearly empty, OH can’t cook ☹️
Managed a small glass of Baileys and some dark chocolate buttons! I know I shouldn’t but I did 😊
Cough slightly less violent this morning so 🤞
Enjoying audio book and reading OS pleasures.
have a good weekend and safe travels to DD and get well soon to anyone else under the weather 😊

Morning all.
Grey and wet here, a day for being tucked up and not venturing far. We've had a glorious autumn here but feeling very back-endish now.
Paulie - hope your new meds do the trick.
Some pleasures:
1) A lovely, busy week full of nice things and my favourite people.
2) Somewhat brought back down to earth with shingles and pneumonia jabs on Thursday afternoon. Spent yesterday pretty much mooching and doing not a lot with very sore arms, a thumping headache and strange shallow breathing. Much worse reactions than I've ever had to any jabs but the pleasure is they are done - well, another shingles jab in 6 weeks but I'll think about that then!
3) Made a cake yesterday afternoon - sweet potato and ginger, yummy.
4) Curry night last night with son and partner and eldest grandson joined us too. Good food and good company, a lovely evening followed by a better sleep than the night before. They also demolished most of the cake so it's not sitting there tempting me.
5) Looking forward to an extra hour in bed tonight and then some cosy evenings ahead with throws and candles. The Christmas Chronicles is out on the coffee table ready - sums up all that is best about winter, will enjoy reading the intro over the next few days and then ready for 1 November. A big pleasure at this time of year, every year.
Hope you have a good weekend.

1. Laundry dried outside overnight and brought in.
2. Gathered up another ¾kg of walnuts.
3. More h-g toms, grapes, raspberries enjoyed with very late brekkie, eaten just 3hrs ago, 😁.
4. Noted more green strawberries fattening!....well, this is climate-change June?🤔
5. 🦚🏉friend's son has just taken MOTM award in his first Senior match!
So well done, K!!!👏😃👍

❤️A very & extra. Ospers take note - it's pronounced 'Stew-key'. Have long known about all of this, not so far from Greshams, R's old school:

Watching strictly
Up early.
Lovely walk up at castle. Sky was blue but wind was chilly.
Finished 3rd library book. I’m in a right ready mood just now.Pottered around.Another bucket of weeds/ snippings in the garden bin.
Log fire on…but too hot now! No more logs going on!8 -
So much for the budget, the main car “died” today, it will need to go in for lengthy repair, but I suppose it rolls over to Novembers budget, on the brighter side.
The surgery issue will need to happen soon now as additional problems are starting to occur.
1 Used my car to pop to a garden centre for mulch to try on the memorial roses, just need it to dry up a little to weed, as we had member card was also told they are doing a clearance next week which I’ve made a note of.
2 Leftover Chinese take away from earlier in the week is dinner tonight, and we’ve been given aa 50 percent off online orders until the end of the year which will be very helpful.
3 I did try to hang the washing out, but 30 mins later was getting it in again.
4 Watched some lovely Halloween ish films.
5 Meal planning unril Weds.

Good morning. Nice and light too 😂
Lots of pleasures yesterday.
Joint birthday lunch for DGD (15) and me (much, much older😂)
So lovely to have everyone together and chatting away so well.
DD remarked how well DH looks. He does. Best since pre-diagnosis. And actually a while before that.
Lots of lovely cards and messages.
Lots of presents - nearly all edible ( how well they know me! ) and a beautiful huge scarf. Pashmina size and soft as a cloud in the prettiest of colours.
I am really a happy Cas today.
Happy Sunday everyone. Start soon because it will end earlier today😂 ( I hate the clock thing! It mixes me up twice a year! But nothing is going to upset me today )
