paulie hope you’re soon feeling better.Well it’s Monday morning…I rather crashed out last night! Fell asleep on sofa and woke up to come straight up to bed.Finished my training for new job yesterday…with flying colours! Hurrah! I will announce shortly once I’ve got things set up!Had a quick doggy walk whilst still dark yesterday morning…just us and a little robin that bobbed along nearby.Did worky stuff.
Then went down to DD2. She’d had no heating/hot water so had to wait on the chap coming out ( he’d already been out on Saturday night) so dogs just ran round and round like daft things in her huge back garden.
Brought home her towels to hang out on my washing line.I’d popped in to supermarket on way home and managed to get a few RTC things for meals .
Then walked round to see mums next door neighbour. Was lovely to see her and chatter for a good couple of hours whilst still daylight! It started to rain on way home, very lightly but I’d no hood! But the most beautiful rainbow in the sky as I headed towards my house.
Hello doggy. Are you starving? Is it time for your tea? Then crashed out! Obviously using my brain again is exhausting 😆
Have a lovely Monday The most beautiful sunrise starting to keek through the sky…roll on an earlier hour of light on Sunday.7 -
Sending feel better soon vibes Paulie.
For yesterday,
Up early and cold but no rain, Woohoo! A wander around the garden while small dog did the necessary and marvelled at cobwebs sparkling with dew.
Usual routine of bacon butties and catching up on all things Ambridge.
Enjoyable few hours in garden, picked all decent tomatoes and disposed of plants in compost. Windowsills now have them in various shades of orange and the green ones are tucked up in brown bag with banana. Digging over the bed I found several walnuts so an obvious hiding place for Mr Nutkin, left them under the apple tree in the hope that he will find them again.
Lovely afternoon walk with beloved and small dog, we talk over plans for week and synchronise movements!
Buttered crumpets for tea and played a few games of Yahtzee.

Morning all.
Very damp and misty this morning, taking little fella out so hope it brightens up later on.
A busy day yesterday and a busy - in a nice way - week in store.
Sorry you're not well, Paulie, hope you're soon on the mend.
Some pleasures:
1) Took little grandson out yesterday afternoon to go and feed the fishes, roads all flooded so couldn't get there. He was so concerned that nobody could get through and they would be hungry, volunteered to go home and get his wellies and wade through with fish food. Hungry fish wouldn't be much of a pleasure but his touching concern for them was so sweet. Reassured him that staff on site would keep an eye on the fishes in his absence.
2) Half term so we are off with a picnic to a castle today with a fab adventure playground.
3) A meal out and a trip to the ballet tonight with son's partner and her daughter, a lovely girlie night, her birthday treat from me and hubby.
4) Brother's birthday today, he's doing his best to catch me up. Going to see him later in the week.
5) Got a huge beef goulash made and tucked in the freezer ready for the pre-Christmas do, also finished knitting, sewing up and filling the little Christmas stockings and started a shopping list for the next batch of cooking. Thank goodness for freezers, couldn't begin to do all this entertaining these days if I couldn't get ahead of the game!
Right, had a lazy morning so far but places to go and people to see so will jump in the shower and get on with the fun!
Hope you have a good day.
VJsmum - keep forgetting to say that Bolsover in one of little fella's favourite castles and Bess of Hardwick one of my heroines. Not today's castle but won't be long before we follow in your footsteps again!

1. Back from both 'all is well' and fresh dressing med. appts. All is even weller now - snug in bed, fresh nightie, fresh jumper, hwb. Most lovely ,🥰. And unexpected bonus - no appts tomorrow, with today's rejigging after non-arrival yet of last week's Addenbrookes results. Thankyou again to Nurse M.2. Osp1 bookended by Afghanistan's clever and riveting run chase. Earlier, their brilliant young 18-year old bowler, Noor Ahmad, and now - just done, just won! First-ever victory over Pakistan! Means so much as another strike against the Taliban, as defined by Geoff Lemon and Carlos Braithwaite pulling no punches on outstanding TMS again.3. Salad leaves, still some raspberries, grape cascade, more toms - all picked and eaten on way back in.😋4. Much msg'g from Spain, NZ, India, Scotland 😉, LP and Peacock HQ friends and family. Blessings of tech. in best ways.

Way too late for me to write last night! Crashed out!Anyway Tuesday.
Walk round castle.A beautiful autumn day…not sunny but dry and a bit cold but the colours were stunning.
Cut the grass.Mercy call from DD2 could I go to her house to let heating engineer in…NOW! i was not very gracious at all but went. I had stuff to do! But I took my library book and finished it.Then mad dash to vets…who were running late! Annual vaccinations done. He did not enjoy the scoosh up the nose but did get a treat afterwards!Home and I was glad I’d put a gammon joint ( RTC) in the slow cooker before I’d went out as that was all that was prepped! I like taking my time on a Tuesday afternoon and making dinner and setting the table. So was all a bit manic. Anyway we had a very nice Tuesday Tea with roast veggies and steamed veggies. And I’m glad I’d a crumble all prepped in the freezer so that went in the oven too and it was delicious! And I made tablet ( Scottish sweet) which I will go and doorstep deliver today. And I lit a fire! And friend and DD2 came for tea and DD2 took all her washing away. That had been drying at mine. And then friend was going up to city to pick up her daughter but she was tired so I said do you want company so we had a wee late night jaunt up to the city! And the stunning sky on the way home. A shiny moon and lots of stars.Have a lovely day!9
