1 I went to both Pilates and tai chi today, which showed me starting slow is a good option.
2 I’ve re discovered a love of sardines, for the blood pressure diet.
3 Yesterday's leftovers made build your own grilled chicken and rice wraps today, and now the fridge is looking rather empty.
4 The search for a swimsuit continues, I’ve resorted to bravissimo, which is a rather expensive pastime!
5 Watching all the long tails down on the bird feeders.

PK have a look on Vinted !Suns down ! It’s too early!Anyway I didn’t have to go to work today hurrah! Up at usual time but dozed back off again!Went a walk with the pup and the chap this morning. Down our woods. A tinge of autumn across the trees.Posted another Vinted parcel then went to supermarket. I don’t think I’ve much left to try and sell. I had so many nice things in the wardrobes that I just didn’t wear.Went to beach! C’mon doggy get your lead on and jump in the car and off we went! Tide still in ( app suggested it would be further out) and quite a few jellyfish 🪼🪼🪼
Home. Cleaned bathrooms…swept floors with my newly bought brush! It’s pleasant temperature wise again. Which is so much easier than being too warm.Went over to DD2. Dogs had such a fun time chasing each other in her garden.Popped into a big supermarket to buy new pillows for spare room bed. Got some RTC pancakes and potato scones.
I need to have a good sort out of fridge and freezer tomorrow and use some stuff up.10 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) A bit cooler!
3) Went to our football club to get some of the A3 fixtures sheets. Then onto M and S for a pot of tea and to do some Arabic.
4) Took a friend to town after lunch to do some paperwork. Went out for a cup of tea with another friend!
5) Had some pitta breads for lunch with hummus, feta and salad then steak for tea, with chips, onion rings, mushrooms and tomatoes and blue cheese.
6) I sat on the sofa eating my tea and a cat (not mine) jumped through the window behind me, walked through the house and out of the patio doors!9 -
Morning everyone.
Feeling very autumnal here today, grey and raining. What a difference a day makes!
Recent pleasures:
1) Sleeping better now it's cooler, hate tossing and turning and getting hotter and hotter! A cool lie in this morning, woke up and was so comfortable so decided to stay put for a while. Lovely!
2) Stirred myself bit yesterday and got some household jobs done, not a paticular pleasure but good to feel a bit more back in control and sorted.
3) Got a text inviting me to book my flu and COVID jabs, booked both immediately - bit early I think for a flu jab but just grateful to be offered both. COVID seems to be edging closer and I now know quite a few people with it or who have had it recently.
4) Have done a shipping list and will stock up on fruit, veg and salad this afternoon so there will be no excuses and the diet will begin in earnest (yet again). The pleasure will have to be polishing my halo as definitely not in a diet mood!
5) Learnt to do something on my laptop that I'd never been able to do before. Bit of guidance from my lad via text messages and I can now download and print documents. No big deal to all of you, I know, but I'm definitely not technically minded and we don't even have a printer!!! Apparently son has set it up to print off the printer in his study - who even knew that??! Anyway, I did as I was instructed and he came down with said printing a while later. Then answered a fair few questions on OC and UC last night so feeling quite chuffed with myself in a low-key sort of way.
A few domestic bits and bobs to do but then a coffee and my book for an hour til hubby gets back from set-building and we go shopping. Oooh, the excitement!
Have a good day.9 -
For yesterday,
Over at the yard, girlie was worked in the school and she was a little minx so less said about that the better, 99% sure it’s hormonal.
Had farrier in the afternoon so stayed over there, then he texted to say running late so popped out to grab some late lunch as had left my sarnies on the side!
At least all was ok with her feet!
Home and lovely early evening walk with Capt S & small dog, not the oppressive heat of the last week or so.
Made a quick quiche and had that with lo pot salad & roasted veg.

well that's strange - my last post didn't (or if it did you'll recognise yesterday's though they will be worded differently!). it was about day 1 of staycation:
1) mum getting off safely for her week's holibags in Londinium
2) watching england rugby game on catch-up with DD2
3) cleaning the fridge (most definitely one of my fave mse pleasures)
4) making an interesting lunch resulting from (3)
5) hearing the geese fly over on the last dog walk of the day - autumn has arrived.
and for today
1) using my bus pass to get to the garden centre - first bus broke down, 2nd bus didn't go to the garden centre so would have had a 40 min wait for connecting bus, instead very pleasant 26 minute walk (thank goodness for google)
2) had a very nice latte when i got there and bought some ys courgettes
3) also bought some orange plants (chilli peppers) to go outside my shed, renamed Bobbers Stand (BOP will understand!)
4) direct bus back (good cos had bought 4 plants) then dog walk with DD2 after lunch - we're getting the hang of the air fryer
5) sorting through lots of bathroom stuff as DD2 is moving out 18th so lots of decluttering going on - i have gained some shampoos and conditioners

1 Dropped my car boot full of charity bits off at a charity shop.
2 Quickly visited at Aldee on the way back and was lucky to pick up two 75 percent off chicken crowns, popped straight in the freezer.
3 Got back and mowed front and back grass and had a natter with the neighbour over the road.
4 Meatballs and lentil pasta with veg for tea.
5 Clean bedding for all tonight.

Hello! I’m not sure why I didn’t post last night must have been tired!Anyway for Tuesday.
Up early.Walked to post a Vinted parcel. Met someone along the way so they came with me and we had a lovely chatter. Then got my doggy and we went up to the local castle to book in afternoon tea for Sunday.Had a beautiful walk. It was so nice yesterday. The most gorgeous blue sky and a gentle warmth.Home and remade bed in the spare room…so it’s all nice and tidy again!Sorted through fridge and freezer.A puppy came to visit.Painted a console table to go in a newly made space. Paint is quite vibrant! Puppy kept trying to help! But was not very helpful. And my big old doggy has paint on his tail because are you even painting if he’s not wearing some! Will see in the clear light of day whether it’s done! Was still dark when I went downstairs this morning.
Tuesday tea was sausages, roast veggies with a sprinkle of fajita mix on them, and cauliflower, cabbage , broccoli and peas. And very nice it was too. Doughnuts for pud.Chatter and laughter.
Did what I hope was the final coat of painting but lighting wasn’t great so we’ll see! Hardly any paint left. And then bed and I reckon I slept reasonably well!Have a lovely Wednesday!9
