Mhags looking forward to hearing of future plans.I sent a form to the doctors, and they saw me same day, they say the op should have happened and I agree, obviously. Best and only plan of action is sending them electronic bp readings for the next 7 days. and during the week working like stink to lower it even more. Thing is it's not high naturally but under stress well yes.
1 Having air con a definite must with the ferrets, but a luxury at cost, is lovely today,
2 I’ve joined the local leisure centre for pool, and I guess gym, to try and get the bp lower, I am booked into a tai chi class!
3 Talks with DB.
4 Enjoying watching case histories.

Morning! Hurrah! I’m not at work 😆
I am however puppy sitting and great niece sitting ! They both had a sleepover but all is currently quiet! For Saturday:
Had booked two weeks off skinny club so didn’t need to go out early ( I like that it’s on so early) so had a slow start to my early morning.Popped to supermarket. Had a roll and sausages ( done in airfryer)
Then a puppy was dropped off at 9am as his parents were going to the city for the weekend.Waited for a great niece to be dropped off. Great nephew full of hugs and he was going to see the aeroplanes! We took pup down to the woods and had a nice walk ( too many off lead doggies for my old grump to deal with at that time) was starting to get rather warm.Made macaroni for tea. Then we had just went out our last walk when the rain came on, gently…then a bit heavier but thankfully the downpour waited till we were back home! We’d have been soaked to the skin.Anyway I was delighted to see the rain !And an evening of knowing I didn’t have work today was most liberating!Have a good day!

For yesterday,
Sleeping in my own bed has to be #1, the one in the holiday cottage wasn’t bad but still.
Early up and over to see Princess Pony, my friend has kept her ticking over exercise wise but she loved a long groom from her Mum and was very affectionate with lots of nose to nose breathing in. Topped up feed and supplement bin, cleaned out water bucket and generally did some horsey housekeeping.
Home by just gone 10 but already hot, Capt S had been to the emporium for a few bits of food.
Cleaned a few piles of washing and dried in just a few hours on the line, rest of the day was spent reading our books and trying to keep cool.
We did watch and enjoy No Time to Die, am not a massive Bond fan but must admit to feeling a little emotional at the end!7 -
Having an early night! Not necessarily to sleep but just to be peaceful.Had a bit of a lie in this morning.Went up to local castle with GN and both dogs.Chat with DD1 on phone. Someone nicked her bike! Gggrrrrrrr! This is the third bike she’s had stolen. It’s her mode of transport. And it was securely chained.DD2 and the chap came back about 2pm so they dropped off GN so that saved me a trip. And they brought doughnuts from my favourite city doughnut shop! Enjoyed mine once everyone was away.Much rain. So much rain! The leaves on the trees I can see from my bedroom changing colour.
Had a sausage sandwich for tea. I’d bought bread as GN was staying, don’t usually buy it. Was very nice!8 -
Hello again.
Well, we timed our holiday right as today is wet and much cooler.
Today's pleasures:
1) Agree that your own bed is a massive pleasure after a holiday. Didn't sleep very well in mine last night though, had eaten too much food and drunk too much wine so tossed and turned all night. Oh dear!
2) Lovely night out with siblings for an 'end of holiday' treat. Delicious Thai meal, brother over-ordered as usual so we all ate far too much but it was totally scrummy.
3) Our turn for the leftovers so they are safely tucked in the fridge and will turn into Sunday tea any time now and then we have some chocolate for pudding. The diet starts tomorrow!
4) A very lazy day and an afternoon of painting, reading and writing in my summerhouse. Need to make the most of it now before it gets too cold and I pack it up for the winter but lovely today with the doors open and the light rain outside.
5) Caught up with son and grandson 3, saw grandson 1 very briefly and no sign of grandon 2. Lovely 'welcome home' hug from the little fella, I'm sure he has grown in the last week. Arranged to start our walks again tomorrow so will have a good catch-up chat with my bairn then.
Right, off to reheat tea and watch a bit of catch-up telly.
Hve a good evening - just looked out and it's nearly dark!8 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not too bad a sleep. considering the temperature.
2) Took advantage of Heritage Open Day and went to a local church for a look round. There was a church service on, which meant an immediate recoil and retirement to the cafe over the road. After that I had a good look at the conserved glass, the mausoleum in the church yard (part of the chancel of the previous medieval church) and I had a cup of tea.
3) Did some Arabic.
4) It is my brother's 40th birthday there so I went for lunch and the afternoon. We re-enacted a photo taken about 35 years ago!
5) Vaguely tidied here and took videos of the hornets trying to get in through the kitchen window (up to 10 at any one time).7 -
So I have a plan of action as I can’t wait for someone else to sort meds for a week when they can’t guarantee its not serious, so I am swapping to a high potassium diet, they don’t want me to do to much high impact exercise, so I have signed up to both Pilates and tai chi tomorrow.
1 Feeling a bit more in control with a plan.
2 Grilled chicken and rice in a korma sauce was dinner
3 A relaxing didn’t so much at all Sunday, the first in a while.
4 Dug out tinned sardines, and now wondering what to do with them.

@mhagster - I remember the police once recommended that we make our bicycles very easy to spot if taken. Recommended painting the bicycle pink with flowers all over it. Might keep it from being stolen.7

For yesterday,
Not a bad nights sleep thanks to fan in bedroom but awake early and made the most of the cool morning by wandering around the garden, cuppa in hand.
Bacon butties and catching up on all things Ambridge.
Too hot for gardening but sat in the shade and read my book.
Thunder was rolling around for a while then we had a good 20 minutes of hard rain, cooled it down a little so we took small dog for a walk.
Food wise we just grazed all day, no cooking involved apart from boiling potatoes for a salad.8 -
