All is good. We have the new wheels. BoPse is not quite used to it yet having driven Fords all her life, she now has the VexHall. She has not been speed checked as of now!

All is good elsewhere, usual treats and eats. We are still going threw the sherlock originals. Again they are not suitable for & as the language and ideas are ...

Was out at the wobbleade emporium the other nite, after pay inn for the next Tour. BoPise has her glad rags on and I has the breasted chicken. Woobleade was consumed!

Now WfH, as Kitty is so demanding with her food. She was out inn the court yard last nite, refusing to come back in! Silly girl she is. We pay her vet bills.

mhagster - start of new chapter! Its a stern test of your guest bed if you can have a good sleep in it. Oh, painting - with eucalyptus.

VJsmum - cashew nut chuckles... delighted at cordial - hoping you enjoy it.

Frith - awed at all the painting, but excellent silly man revealing his silliness for all to witness. Heritage Open Days are wonderful opportunities to see unusual buildings. If mechanics are doing a dangerous job, they should be stopped lest someone not survive their work.

DundeeDoll - a good hose pipe is a treat. Flu vaccine already? I must drop a few gentle hints around.

Happycas - I have bought a watering can with an extra long snout to make reaching easier... Awed at weeding wardrobe & acquiring with an eye on post-cruise resale

PaulieHerts - hurrah access to beaach hut! And oh, those photos on a hot day - bliss!

Purple kitten - that sounds a glorious day. Tea and a slice of cake. You & yours are held clearly in my thoughts.

BoP - new wheels? Are they really yours before a magistrate puts a testimonial on your licence?

OS pleasures recently

Nearly hauled Youngest off shopping with him attired in dressing gown & startled expression. imagination happily doodling this as Christmas card illustration….

At last! New bedlinen washed, line dried, folded & in linen cupboard. Sons on verge of matricidal mutiny, but calmed down once fed.

Colleagues all blissfully unfussed at my lack of physical presence at team meeting although manager did make me put camera on (Ulp) just long enough for greeting. So of course scout belts dangling & relative’s photo askew all far too visible. Could have been worse. Just.

Little blighter played hide & seek on me & rejoiced at my leaping squeal followed by my landing grunt & general upbraiding through chuckles & ire. Even when I could comb his hair with a chair leg, I adore the blighter.

The weekly shop has been done. I didn’t intend to go to Costco but when I buy Persil, I buy it once with thoroughness. The last pillar has seen us through over a year of laundry. Plus bonus peace of mind!

Only Connect! I love feeling this sort-of bright. Son, about to trim hair, suggests I turn subtitles on. (Sweetie)

The lime seeds! I have a tiny green shoot! And hope…. Gods, I love trying to grow things.

Having flogged over 4 nominations for a big national award hope, my boss then told me to plonk the words on another form for local awards & so I’ve been slaving over a hot laptop again with £20 awards to hope for. It’s derisory but it’s that or sweet FA, so on with the paperwork… (Colleagues largely charmed to be nominated, will grin wryly at the £20 tokens.)

Delighted to see Burning Man visitors finally able to drive away. That could have got a lot less amusing with another couple of days bad weather.

Not-pleasure stamps to go up Again (& before Christmas) but at least Martin got the word out early & I’m spreading it around the jungle drums at speed… Oh Scouts?!

A hot day, but the little spikes of back pain are hotter still. Hopefully the plants will benefit even as I fumble for the next pills.

The post office has sent a charming note of condolence to my husband - something somewhere has gone awry, as both I & the lads are trying to close old post office accounts & have sent in the forms & old books. I chuckle as it will all come out in the wash, but oh my the humans.

Odd how it has extra freight when mum ends a zoom with “when the Lord holds you in the palm of His hand”…

The lime seedling has straightened up in the sunlight and you can almost see it cogitating how to unfold a leaf.

Family tree climbing - one woman embraced a soldier & then (widowed) embraced a reverend. Whose family appear to have had monumentally itchy feet as the four children died on different continents. Were they inveterate explorers or in sad need of good Money Saving advice so as not to need to flee the creditors?! They make the AIBU lot look saintly…

All Health & Strength & Love & Courage to those as have need - not that this board is in any way short but at times it helps to know that all you need do is ask & you are wrapped in a quilt and upheld.

Or a fabric as cool as damp muslin but robust and fervent as a quilt - some days the temperature goes up & the sense of an analogy goes down!

Pleasures for Tuesday and Wednesday

1. OH is in Austria.  Successfully took him to the airport for an early flight.
2. went to meet sister and newly married brother and to collect my 'emergency' outfit i'd left behind
3. enjoying the gorgeous weather - spending a lot of time in the garden reading.
4. loads of washing dried on the line
5. stepping up the healthy eating and the exercise.

A rather emotional PK over here, my procedure was abandoned after 7 failed spinal anaesthesia tries. As they weren’t happy with the BP or Heart!!!!

I had already spoken with the doctors about my BP and white coat syndrome, and they gave me something to take this morning that had literally no effect.

All I can do is speak with the docs about the BP, but the more I think about it the more I just don’t know what to do with their nonsense, as they didn’t even like the way my heart was beating, it’s always been fast and I have had it checked previously to be told it’s the way it runs.

So we will see what the docs say tomorrow, all to be done in a rush.

Pleasures for today (Thursday)

1) Not a bad sleep.

2) Mowed the back lawns at 9am. Already too hot for that job. Mowed the little front lawn at about 7pm. Still too hot.

3) Changed one bed.

4) Did some Arabic.

5) Spent 4 hours working on a job application.

6) My friend has a place on a football team.

7) Spoke to my school friend.

It is far too hot ! It’s quite ridiculous. 🫠

I’m just in from being out for dinner with a friend and we both said oooh it’s like being abroad! 

Anyway today I was up early ( in my own bed decided to ignore the smell of paint) watched the sun rise, having admired the stars and moon when I was out with the dog. 

Cut grass. 

Power washed patio. Had done it the other week but then moved furniture. So all done. Furniture and pots all loaded onto grass whilst patio dried. Will sort it in the morning. 

Picked up friends daughter to drop her off at her work and dropped off a Vinted parcel enroute. 

Then out with friend. Had such a lovely evening of chatter and catching up and with excellent food! 

Bank of me is now on restrictions! 

PK how frustrated you must be. Grrrrrr! 💕

1) was supposed to meet a friend for lunch in my fave cafe but she got stuck in a meeting - decided to stay anyway, delicious (and realising far too long since i visited)
2) and was joined by 2 other colleagues - had a great chat, and not all about work!!!
3) gbf picked me up from work at 4 to go to Edinburgh - all went very smoothly and we managed to park for free quite near the play house
4) then we had thai then mrs brown rides again - very funny - part two of my birthday treat - i am very spoiled
5) and home to this - apparently, he does other badges but why would you? 😎
