Hello.
what a day!10 hours of puppy watching ! What a long day !He’s gorgeous but it’s hard work!Friend popped round for an hour and niece phoned for about an hour so that was my adult company🥳
Then peace perfect peace when he was collected. Never mind the polite chatter just take him!Had sausages for lunch.A wet start to the day but brightened late afternoon. Got washing out and dried.8 -
Blimey, what on earth has happened to this again! I'm typing into a post box style slot that doesn't go the full width of the screen.
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Up early to meet someone at the Job Centre for the first of many appointments.
2) Went to M and S afterwards and did lots of Arabic.
3) Sainsburys for supplies for the rest of the week.
4) Hoovered and tidied upstairs, did first load of washing, changed smaller son's bed.
5) Made salad and chicken shawarma for tea.
6) Went to the first pre season game. Our man who broke his leg horrifically in February 2022 has returned! We won 2-1.
7) Stopped on the way home as a young lad had clipped a roe deer with his van (it ran out in front of him). He and another man had managed to get it to the side but it took a few minutes to recover itself before running into the fields.
ETA 8) Saw bigger son's girlfriend outside Sainsbury's and we had a chat through our respective car windows!8 -
glad it's not just me thinking what's happened now frith torrential rain has taken the leccy out middle floor sigh so more £££ let's hone on 5 things
1) got myself a day ticket for the buses
2) friend's son (Jonny O'Mara) has got through to the next round of mixed doubles yay
3) dd2 managed to isolate what was tripping so at least the rest is back on (including the freezer phew!)
4) DrM messaged 'pint?' which was very welcome after a long day with some not so easy wins and some difficult emails - so of course i went
5) very nice evening with DrM and Mr G despite lack of football, and as midnight chimed wished DrM a happy birthday - I do love birthdays!MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Good morning. Sunny too.
We're back from the caravan. Had a lovely time but maybe did a little too much walking as DH very tired on return journey. He's starting to pick up again now so hopefully overall it's a gain.
Main reason for return was for DH dental appointment. Went yesterday and receptionist said it had been cancelled in May!! Read out number the text had been sent to. Not either of ours!! Since they changed hands post covid they have been rubbish!
Nearly finished another Louise Penny. The Devils Are Here (?). Set in Paris and excellent as always. Think I've read them all now except the most recent. Really is my favourite author!
Sea bass for tea. Was very good.
Meeting my friend for coffee this morning. First meeting since DH illness (6 weeks) so there'll be plenty to talk about.
Happy Wednesday everyone

For yesterday,
Woke up hungry so mushrooms on toast for breakfast.
At the stables, cooler with a breeze and girlie worked well in the school, followed by a little walk around the now cut hay field to cool down. Talking of which going into the big barn now is a pleasure in itself with this years hay all cut and stored ready for hungry winter ponies, the advantage of being at livery on a working farm.
Capt S was home so we had lunch together.
Dropped some books off at the CS in town, saw someone who I use to work with at toxic workplace and had a quick catch up.
The stars aligned and a family get together is planned.

Hello again.
Well, this is all very different isn't it? Thought it was my laptop playing silly doodahs so rebooted but it's still the same!
Anyway, here goes:
1) I think I've probably been here for about a year now, I know we had no inkling at the time that my mum was as ill as she was but it was a very stressful time, leading to me stopping lurking and taking the plunge, trying to focus on some positives. So glad I did, been so grateful for your company and support. Here's to us!!!
2) We need the builder back to do the next stage of work but he can't come till mid-August. We have worked out an action plan of stuff we can do in the meantime so will attack it a step at a time and have made a good start.
3) Had a stupid accident - my fault - this morning that could have been very nasty and has left me sore and shaken up a bit. The pleasure is it could have been worse, looked worse than it was, I am bandaged up and still have all my fingers eventhough they might not be able to do much for a couple of days. Ouch but lessons learnt!
4) Still managed a walk with my bairn eventhough I felt a bit wobbly. Wanted to go as I am now back to my pre-wedding weekend weight so onwards and upwards with the diet and exercise routine.
5) A nice quiet afternoon is on the cards. Hubby is pottering in his workshop, tea is in the slow cooker, yummy leftovers in a minute for lunch and a pile of reading by my chair.
Hope you enjoy your afternoon too. Will now see if this posts ok.....

Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Not a bad sleep, eventually.
2) Took all wet washing to the launderette. I think I might have got some of it dried outside this afternoon but it is nice to have it all dried thoroughly within half an hour.
3) Ludlow afterwards for the charity shops but I didn't buy anything.
4) Pot of tea and some Arabic.
5) It sounds like contracts are going to be exchanged, now bigger son has remembered to post his bit of paperwork... (I have no idea what contracts being exchanged means, but I see the little progress indicator has moved online!)
6) Shawarma in wraps for tea, then strawberries. This pleased smaller son.
7) It sounds like smaller son might be going to one or two football matches with his friend from school. That hasn't happened in a long time.7 -
Hello. Not a fan of new layout either but suppose will get used to it. I can’t easily go to the old style board to look at other threads other than to scroll back up to the top of the page. ( used to be at bottom)
Anyway !Up at silly o’clock and it was still dark ( when it was light a couple of weeks ago) anyway waited till it was a bit lighter and we went out a quick walk. We never go too far at that point, just enough to do business and have a sniff.Went up to local castle and sat in the courtyard and had some toast. Had a nice walk afterwards. We literally just missed a very heavy shower of rain.Nipped into supermarket. Got some RTC flowers.Home and started doing Tuesday things that didn’t get done because I was doggy sitting. So flowers done. Downstairs hoovered and floors washed. Upstairs hoovered. Bathrooms cleaned. Put a washing out late afternoon, when it usually decides to dry up and be nice!Doggy and I just enjoyed a peaceful day.Cut some more sweet peas. They are so untidy in the garden as they’ve just grown and grown and one set fell over in the high winds last week but I don’t want to cut them back when they are so pretty. More courgettes are growing. One of my tiny pumpkins has been nibbled. Seriously detest slugs and snails!Had a curry for tea. Then have been out walking with colleague and her chatty boy for an hour.7
