for yesterday
1) another 3 points for the hatters bop
2) met some alumni - the wonderful thing about 5500 alumni is wherever I go in the world to medical education conferences (and often just on holiday!) I meet alumni and current students
3) braved the gym and went on a cycle ride 'through Canadian countryside' (ie stationary bike with video) - was wondering what to do when I approached the road works - the man on the screen waved me through and I even overtook another cyclist 🤣
4) supper in the old town then a walk through the battlements
5) and 2 episodes of Shetland series 7 courtesy of youtubeMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

@Dundee Doll - that's what I would like - a stationary bike with videos. Just think of wandering around the Netherlands or parts of the British Isles on the bike. I wish I had a treadmill that had videos also. I might be more willing to exercise if I could "take a vacation" while I exercise!7

Good morning
Frith - the house looks lovely. And a good size garden too.
D Doll - it's good when a work trip is to somewhere so interesting
VJ'S mum - this seems to be a particularly nasty strain of covid. I hope you feel better soon.
A good weekend
Fri night we went for a meal with DD and partner to celebrate her promotion. The meal was excellent and those two are such good company so it was a great night.
Sat pm I went round to DS for a while. Eldest DGD had gone to see Mamma Mia with DDiL so I chatted to DS and played with the other two. A good way to spend an afternoon.
DD and partner went to Majorca yesterday. At tea time she face timed us to say they are engaged. A complete surprise to her so she's very giddy! So pleased for them both.
A very busy weekend.
Yoga is back on this morning. I shall need the relaxation bit!
Happy Monday everyone

For yesterday,
Bacon butties and catching up on all things Ambridge.
Out in the garden, Capt S has finished my cold frame so got some seeds planted up, two varieties of tomatoes, carrots and beetroot.
Made some cheese scones.
DB and SIL came over for a cuppa & a catch up, lovely to see them.
Evening walk with beloved and small dog, home to glass of wine and nibbles.6 -
Frith, the place looks lovely.DD, oh wow, I hope you get time to enjoy, I know it sounds daft but when we go back there i really want to see / experience a sports game there either base ball or ice hockey,,,
1 In my ploughing to try and help with freezer space I cooked up a 75% off turkey crown, it made the house smell lovely, popped greenery, chips and yorkie with it for a meal, leftovers will be a curry tomorrow.
2 Defrosted the very blocked up freezer which took a lot longer than anticipated, numerous hot waters and a hair dryer, one freezer to go.
3 I moved some bulbs that were dying from containers to the ground in the front garden and planted up some herbs. Planted a Lavandula by the front door.
4 I have to admit I’ve stopped buying kindle books as I prefer the physical book, but I couldn’t resist when I saw the author on deal.
5 Leftover strawberries and blackberries with elmlea.
No sleep last night but fell asleep first thing of course.
1 Various admin things done, had to book in for a blood test, order the ferrets food which arrives over a 3-day time slot not so helpful but we are used to it now, and sorted a repeat prescription for ferret heart meds, yikes the prices have all gone up at some point will I get used to it???
2 Trying to eat better today we had porridge, and dinner is from the freezer, haddock with cawli/brocli with a cheese sauce. Snacks will be strawbs, I’m also going to try Zumba classes, should be er entertaining.
3 Emptied and moved a garden storage shed away from the fence in preparation for painting the fence tomorrow, also created 4 bags of tip run stuff as de cluttering weather garden bits.
4 Bird feeders sorted and repaired and a visit from the woodpecker.
