Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) To school by 10 and did child protection then invigilation training.
3) On to Waitrose (Ampersand) for tea in the cafe and some Arabic. DuoLingo does not progress evenly at all. It feels like 5 new concepts and one hundred new words were introduced today.
4) Thought I would sit in bed for a bit when I got back and have not got up yet! Smaller son has been in a couple of times to chat and to play catch.
5) Got a podcast and some tv to watch later.
Very cold and damp again today.8 -
1 I braved the scales, and I’m over the moon to have lost a half stone.
2 Walked up to the hospital for bloods.
3 Had a wonderful time visiting a falconry place celebrating last year's anniversary, we had a Racoon experience, followed by flight displays, Kookaburras, wallaby’s, skunks, Vultures to name just a few that I can spell.
4 Using up bits and bobs for tea and a small seafood salad for lunch.

For yesterday,
Woke up hungry so fried egg on toast for breakfast.
Busy morning with chores and errands, got my bike out of the shed, pumped up the tyres and cycled down to the village shop for a few bits, inc some YS fresh plum tomatoes.
In the garden, planted my seed potatoes and generally pottered around, things definitely seem a few weeks behind as found a picture of our apple tree from this time last year and it was covered in leaves & blossom, this year we hardly seem to have any ☹️Evening walk with small dog and Capt S, the skies had cleared and it was fresh but sunny.
We didn’t fancy what was on the meal plan so decided to treat ourselves to fish & chips instead, twas a good idea.7 -
Yesterday
1. Hearing all the birds singing in the park, chiff chaff, Robin, blackbird, crow, great tit, goldfinch, magpie, seagulls, geese, ducks
2. Watching the swans and the squirrels
3. Flask of coffee.
4. Seeing mum before she goes on holiday.
5. Work wasn’t too stressful (Friday afternoons seem to be all or nothing with regard to work, been a while since it was nearing to nothing)working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?7 -
Good afternoon
Back at the caravan in defiance of a lousy weather forecast. And guess what. Beautiful sunny weather! So pleased.
Been for a walk round the gardens of the local hall. How come their wild garlic grows like weeds and mine struggles to produce more than three leaves?
Walked down to see the sea. Very calm and peaceful today.
Had the annual ' Shall we sell the caravan?' talk but on a day like today the answer is 'No!'.
Happy 🌞 day everyone

Hello
Bedtime for me.Up early watched a beautiful sunrise and then we went to the beach. Lovely walk. Tide was so far out.Nice drive there and back. Ploughed fields. Tiny bunnies ran out in front of me. Blossom on trees. The grass looking so green. However it was blooming freezing and I’ve been cold the rest of the day! Just filled my hot water bottles😆
DD2 and the chap picked me up and we went to garden centre for a cheese scone. Got a few veggie plants. Then she had to return a couple of things to a couple of shops so I went to Tk max and I have bought some non essential fripperies!Home and hello doggy.Out in garden for a teensy amount of time as it was such a cold wind. Friend’s husband dropped off a new to me greenhouse! One of those plastic zippy ones. They were chucking it out so I’ll give it a home for at least this summer ! It’s not perfect but it will be fine for my tomatoes!Had a snoozette for about half an hour…definitely not on my garden sofa though !Friend called and chattered for an hour or so.Watching the second series of Race across the world. I think we are so used to binge watching stuff so it’s unusual when it’s just a week at a time like the current series is. I’m enjoying it very much.Just brought in my sofa cushions as it’s started to rain. That’s a job for this week organise an outside container thingy! You know after I’ve went round with my watering can it’s started to rain!6 -
Pleasures for today (Saturday). What a nice day!
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Up early to go to Park Run. I think the iron tablets are working as I can now stride up the hills without gasping for breath. I have knocked 6 minutes off my time! I played table tennis for a while afterwards.
3) In a sentence that I thought this chubby heathen would never write, I went from Park Run (after a shower and change of clothes) to an Eid celebration. This was also excellent with a lot of chatting, more table tennis and a game of chess with the man who always waves to me. He is going to go to my chess club on Wednesday.
4) Back home by 3 and we listened to our football team. After no goals or wins for 3 months, they have won 4 (or 5?) in a row, with a goal within the first 5 minutes of the last 3 games. A 3-1 win today. If they win the last game of the season next Saturday, they will be in the playoffs.
5) A Chinese takeaway for tea.
6) Talked to my school friend on the phone.
7) Will catch up with Casualty just now.7 -
For yesterday,
My saturday lie-in, much anticipated and enjoyed.
Spent most of the morning in the garden, cut back a lot of old follage now that new is coming through and wee beasties no longer need the cover. Looks my trailing fuchsia didn’t make it ☹️. Gave my azalea a good feed.
Walk around the fields with small dog and spotted a mushroom hadn’t seen before, didn’t have phone with me so no photos but checked when I got back and it was an Alfred’s Cakes fungi, jet black and on a piece of old wood.

Over to see pony, day off today so she had a long groom, carrot with her hard feed and shared an apple with her Mum, well I got the first bite!
Home, Capt S off on his adventures watching footie up Norf so just a sausage sandwich for tea and then watched a cheesy film.9 -
