5 OS pleasures in your day today - part 3

Pleasures for today.

1. A lie in till 9am.
2. Call to garage as light came on again, took 4 hours out of my day but hopefully finally sorted.
3. Ds2 been doing his physio exercises but seems very tired today
4. We went out for tea/dinner-to the local pub - both had a lovely roast dinner, I had the small one do I could manage apple pie and custard. Doggy came too and enjoyed some roast beef.
5. Back is easing slightly, done some investigating into a lightweight wheelchair but none seem to have the leg rest to attach to them. Will continue looking.

1 DH happened to spot and buy and item on the bay we said was to good to be true, but sure enough it arrived within 48 hours, it’s in it’s original packaging and I am incredulous.

2 We went to Vegas, aka Ikea, where we picked up the remainder of what will be a ferret cage, picked up 99p tea lights and a cuddly toy for a ferret toy of course.

3 Dunelm was very forthcoming we picked up a teddy duvet set in the sale, even cheaper than I previously saw, we spent a very long time looking at curtains for ideas.

4 Every time we have pancakes, I wonder why we don’t have them more often.

5 Used the Lidl voucher while doing the weekly shop, great timing.

For yesterday,

A rainy start but we haven’t had much lately so good to see.

Cleaned upstairs and the bathrooms, as always only a pleasure when done.

A wander around the garden, the tête-à-tête daffs are out and blooming lovely.

Over to see my horse, my heart sank a tad when I drove up the lane past her paddock only to see her zooming around her field like a racehorse in training but she behaved coming in.

Easy tea as I grabbed a portion of chilli from the freezer and we had that with rice.

Time and Again!

It's Jenny's Eleventh Birthday today!  
She's buzzing with tick!

Still on mes curse at the Tower, well connected via the vpn. We use teams and theres bee a plethora of cats in view. Thats watt work inn from home does.

Watching Gryths journey in Australia at the moment on the flix thing. Very good, with cheeses and some fruit waters.

As it is Jenny's Birthday and ours anniversary weakened, we is outs tomorrow nite to celebrate. The Albatross will bee inn her glad rags. Details soon!

Right, packes the Albatross off withs her good lunch box and I weight for mes curse to start!

Pleasures for yesterday (Wednesday)

1) I went round the charity shops in carpet town with my brother. Then we had a pot of tea in M and S cafe.

2) I cleaned the bathroom, did all the laundry and tidied up generally.

3) I swept and weeded outside the front of my house. Then I very quickly pulled some of the weeds out of next doors garden so it looks a bit tidier !

4) Went to the butchers for a turkey roll and we discussed how we cannot sell our houses.

5) Went to see my dad and my brother mended the car windscreen washers for me. 

6) Did some Arabic.

7) I had a head of broccoli and a cauliflower so I did a large macaroni cheese with those and some lo gammon. Lots for tea and some individual portions for the freezer.

8) Then, in a weird sort of anti-pleasure, I had waited all day for a text from the emperor (yes, I am a fool) about meeting up for a chat. He did text at tea time, but about anything other than meeting up. Eventually, I said I was going out to play chess and set off in my car. Of course, then I got the messages about meeting up... 

I then diverted to pick him up and brought him back here, which he has been angling to do for weeks. Then, it turns out all the rules I had been set (yes, I am a fool) do not really apply. Or maybe they do, just not to him. Also, he told me I am fat (I do have eyes, mate, this was not a revelation). He then said he did not like coming to my house after all because we have no privacy as smaller son is always here. 

Actually, I don't know the pleasure was here! Except perhaps I am another step forwards towards completely getting rid of him. (In a dumping way, not a hit man type way!!)

Hello.

Lots going on so very quickly today.......

Pleasures 1-5: Hubby's results from the chest x ray he had on Saturday are finally back and no further action required. Phew! 

And even quicker still - Frith - you'll get there in the end, a hug in the meantime

Hello. Frosty start to the day. So it’s been bright but chilly.

Had a work meeting at 10am. 

Chaps had started the cleaning of eaves/ gutters etc. Never been done so looks so much better! 
Had a nice walk with doggy. Very sniffy! 

Went for lunch with DD2 and her chap. Food was lovely. Stuffed so don’t need dinner.
Washing out and about 3/4 dry.
Cuddles with doggy. 

Alarm set for early o’clock.

1 Wow it was colder than expected out there today as we ran a couple of errands, went to Wickes for a nose and to pick up click and collect items for DH, then across to carpet right, but that was very disappointing, popped to a builder’s merchants and picked up 2 bits of wood for literally half the price of one bit in Wickes.

2 I wanted to pop to Lidl for one of the things on sale in today’s starters, we must have got it just right as all the meat we use was marked down to 70p and 90p, so whereas we had cleared a couple of freezer shelves they are now full again.

3 I got on with clearing a pile of clutter stuff, some thrown, some filed some shredded, trying to be ruthless as we are seeing clearer space now which is lovely.

4 Tonight’s food changes slightly to chicken picked up today cooked through with rice and build your own wraps.

5 Reading a good book with a piece of cake from the freezer.

Pleasures for today (Thursday)

1) Not a bad sleep.

2) FINALLY, someone wants to view my house. First person this year! Another lady and first time buyer. 

3) I pootled around first thing then went to Waitrose and did about an hour of Arabic in the cafe. 

4) Bigger son popped in and he and his girlfriend have signed everything and will be moving in to their own house at the beginning of March! I said I will get them some plates and bowls. They have got quite a lot together over the last two years.

5) I went with my brother to the pub and watched the first half of the Manchester Utd v Barcelona game. 

6) Saw 2 muntjac as I drove home just now.
