Welcome Sidneysmum
For yesterday,
Usual Monday morning of food shopping in town, my friend was around so stopped for a coffee.
Home, unpacked then off to farm shop for a few bits.
Tackled some admin that has been hanging around for a bit then off to my happy place.
At the stables, equine girlie out with no rug on and come in full of the joys, decided to lunge and she was like a kite on the end of a bit of string! I told her off at one point and then she goes all contrite & flutters those big eyelashes at me 🙄 Good chat with my friend as well, we could, and do, talk about horses all day.
Easy tea of prawn stir fry then quizzes, Only Connect & Uni Challenge.10 -
Could have sworn i posted yesterday, oh well. Welcome Sidneysmum (gonna have to be SM)
Pleasures recently
1. More getting through the marking (have just finished - for now). One was over 90%, he wrote the answer better than I would have.
2. Steak for tea on Sunday - I cooked it perfectly
3. Forced myself to go for a swim, thoroughly enjoyed it.
4. good walk with friend in the park - and finding out that we weren't as lost as we thought.
5. another courtroom drama.
Have a good day all.I wanna be in the room where it happens10 -
Good afternoon
Hello Sidneys mum. Lovely to see you.
Trip to the supermarket yesterday. When did fish fingers become a luxury item? We very occasionally have a ff sandwich so decided to get some yesterday. £7:50 a packet!! Box of 30 Cap'n B E but even so! We did without!
On the other hand, in M+S outlet spotted a t-shirt I liked. £2:50! Took it to the till. 20% off everything today. £2 !! Bargain.
Went to see post op friend. She's doing so well. Had a little walk with her and she's managing crutches with no apparent problems. Popped back today with our V shape pillow. She said she's sleeping propped up so hopefully it might help.
Finished watching North Sea Connection. Bit disappointing ending. Clearly left to allow a second series but don't know if I'd bother again. They're mainly such unpleasant people I wouldn't care if they all jumped in the North Sea!I
Happy afternoon everyone

I’m learning things I didn’t want to know!
All is good.
All is well connected via the vpn to the tower. We is do in a curse this weak. All is good as 8 nose it all anyway!
Just about to do the Chinese for dinner. The Albatross requested it. Buzzard with chopped mushrooms and chilli sauce.
We is watching Gryths on the Aussie Choo Choo at the moment. Very good. It’s on the stream service. Cheeses and fruit waters were taken.
Jen does her bestI work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!10 -
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) A pleasure is that I am no longer trying in vain to mend the windscreen washers on my car! It took ages to disconnect the soundproofing from under the bonnet to access them. Then I dropped the very specialised plastic screw through the engine compartment so had to walk back to the house to get the poker to poke it through so I could reach it. I cut my hand on something sharp under the bonnet in the process. Of course, a tiny piece of plastic had snapped off the screw so there is now almost nothing holding the soundproofing in place. And the washers still do not work! The back windscreen one is torrential, which somehow makes it worse.
3) Did a little bit of Arabic.
4) Took smaller son to McDonalds then Sainsburys. He is learning some Portuguese from an online friend.
5) Pancakes.
6) I am now in bed with some mini eggs, listening to our football team on the radio.10 -
Hello. Almost bedtime!
Up early. Bit of a wet and windy start to the day.
Went into work for a wee while to do some admin stuff for upcoming projects.
Then supermarket. Bought some beautiful pink primroses and muscari. Still in car…hopefully a tomorrow job to plant them.
Hoovered and tidied and emptied bins and recycling and all those boring Tuesday jobs that need doing after two days at work when nothing gets done at home!Had a snoozette but woke up absolutely frozen! So filled two hot water bottles!Niece called me at exactly the same time I was texting her!Tuesday Tea. Had RTC sausages from the freezer. Roast parsnips. Then broccoli, carrots, peas and cauliflower.Pancakes for pudding. And a small slice of lemon drizzle cake. Friend took the majority of the cake home with her. They brought me 2 lovely bunches of daffodils.Lovely evening of laughter and chatter.A good day.11 -
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Met a lady walking her doggy, Mabel loves to play so we walked together has a nice chat.
2. Took Ds2 to see his consultant at Addenbrookes. Advised Leg brace could come off. Also had a bit of physio and was given crutches. Have a fit note for 6 months.3. New car was ok going but engine light came on, on way home so will be back to the garage tomorrow.
4. My lovely neighbour had walked doggy, cleaned my kitchen & dusted in the lounge.
5. Pulled my back lifting ds2 wheelchair out of the car, pleasure is put some heat cream on and seems to be easing a bit.11 -
For yesterday,
A loaf was made & proving by 7.30, out of the oven by 9.30 and cottage smelt mmm.
Into Uni city for haircut, glad I put my bigger coat on as struck cold after a few milder days.
Reading while the colour took, my latest Shardlake book was too big for my handbag so I took S Tucci’s book Taste which is as lovely as him but made me hungry so fresh bread & Brie for a late lunch once I got home.
A flurry of surveys got done.
Watching a live stream of local council meeting that had implications for Capt S and boy do some of those councillors act childish!10 -
A very quiet day.
But lighter and brighter today which was nice.
washing almost dried outside.
planted primroses, frittillary and a eryngium. But a cold wind so I didn’t want to spend too long in the garden.
watched some stuff.
read a bit
just generally bring a quiet person 😆11 -
