Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) A slightly better sleep, perhaps.
2) One of the English class teachers came and refitted my shower screen and replaced a rotten piece of skirting board.
3) I have just come back from a trip up the Clee Hill and environs where I watched Madrid x 2 play football, on a mobile phone, under a quilt in the back of my car. We shouted "sheep" every time one appeared and also saw 2 deer and a fox on our journey home.8 -
For yesterday,
Waking up early and having a 30 minute read before getting up, I am totally immersed in the Tudor world of Shardlake and all, smashing.
Into town for a coffee and a catch up with my pal. Also popped into the emporium for a few fresh bits and some flowers, realised when I got home that I must have left the daffodils in the trolley, hope whoever finds them enjoys them.
Felt inspired to do some yoga, bit creaky but did ok.
Prepped some dried fruit for a tea loaf, used DM’s mixing bowl that must have seen hundreds of cakes over the years.
Evenings are markedly stretching out, light in sky until 5pm

Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) A slightly better sleep than of late.
2) Decided to make diary entries of particular days of the fortnight that has just gone.
3) Went to Waitrose for the cafe and a little bit of shopping.
4) The estate agent phoned and FINALLY someone wants to look round the house! It has been weeks and weeks.
5) See point 4) above. I swept and weeded the garden and cut down all the dead foliage that you are apparently supposed to leave up over the winter. Also gloss painted the new little section of skirting board put in yesterday down the side of the bath. Changed one bunk bed.
6) Got round to sorting out the Ring doorbell which had come to the end of its free trial period.
7) I am just back from Wildlife Club at the village hall. We had a talk on bats this week plus 2 quizzes. Very, very cold in the hall so I am now warming up in bed with 2 hwb.
8) My friend messaged so I will see her on Sunday morning for a cup of tea. She is just the person I need to speak to at the moment. Poor woman doesn't know what she has let herself in for!

I’m feeling a bit blah at the moment. Very non specifically blah but just blah. I know it’s the time of year for me and all the shoulda woulda coulda beens that just weren’t. But the days are starting to stretch slightly and will continue to do so. Everyday and every week a bit lighter actually and mentally.Anyway yesterday was blah! Was in at work early. Walked the dog early. Went to t(e hairdresser early…a whole week early 😀 oops! So I’ll go back again next Friday! Went to a different supermarket as I was in the vicinity. Did some Christmas shopping! Just need to remember I have !Then it was just feeling blah the rest of the day. I’ve also got a duff rotator cuff in my shoulder which isn’t helping with the blah-ness. Blah with an occasional yelp! However gave myself a stiff talking to this morning and was up bright and early. Walked the doggy. Hoovered and washed floors. Chap came and bought desk I’d put up for sale. Went out with DD2, had a catch up with her. We stopped on way home and had a walk round our woods. Went to see OH tree.Home and hello doggy, Had a wee snooze then watched a nice film on Netflix called Bank of Dave, it was nice from start to finish and a nice feel good thing to watch. There’s buds on the trees and bulbs peeking through the soil. The sun was shining for most of the day. The sky was blue for much of the day. Just a couple of showers. The birds were singing early this morning which was nice to hear. House is reasonably tidy. There’s much to be grateful for.11
