Lainey, hoping you all feel much better soon, sending ferret hugs.
1 A very long to do list this morning so we got on and it was mainly finished by midday, lots of cleaning sofas, ferret bedding, our bedding hoovering, numerous wash loads. Threw some ferret bedding out very passed it gets holey, possibility of getting paws caught.
2 Iced and decorated the Christmas cake, seriously contemplating going to a learning to decorate cakes class over in Norwich next year.
3 Had a bacon sarnie for lunch and ran out of steam this afternoon.
4 Put the gas and leccy readings in, ouch. In fact, very ouch we are not in the “it’s so much cheaper than we thought” posts I see around, but at least we are keeping on top of it.
5 Amazon to the rescue when we realised, we’ve used all of the ports on the TV we can’t fit any more in, as we planned on using the wii etc to keep people entertained.
1 Last slice of low/no sugar choccy cake that turned out amazingly, but I don’t know how, with a hot cuppa, is my idea of perfect time spent.
2 BIL and SIL were over for the evening
3 Dh and I bowed out of a lot of the food and Christmas shopping, we did pick up the frozen turkey, and I’m hoping to pick up some of the cheap veg after the big day, but we have the rest in, and with some predictable presents we don’t need extra choc etc, so doing okay
4 Todays food has been croissants for brekkie, BLT for Lunch, egg and chips for tea.
5 The ferrets helped with wrapping and got very over excited.
6 Fresh bedding for us and the animals.

Hope you’ve all had a lovely day.Today I have just went through the motions. The weirdest Christmas Day ever.Just me and the dog. Who’s been good company I have to say!Chatters with those not here.Made cheese scones in the airfryer for breakfast.Niecelys came for an hour late morning…with noisy toys! And were here for most of the FaceTime chats. Then they left and I just thought well…what to do.Doggy and I had a lovely walk first thing which was thankfully dry as it has absolutely lashed the rest of the day.Cooked a gammon joint in the slow cooker and did my roast veggies in the airfryer. Also made. A cheese sauce…Because it’s only me that likes it!So feeling very bah humbug and really just want to go to bed and wake up tomorrow! However I do hope everyone else has had fun!7

Happy Christmas!
Pleasures for today.
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Christmas stockings were opened. Bigger son liked his coffee maker. Smaller son's new football coat fits and will be worn to the match tomorrow. We played around with the new Ring doorbell for a while.
3) Bigger son made the lunch. Chicken, stuffing, roast potatoes, parsnips and carrots, sprouts with bacon and chestnuts, Yorkshire puddings, gravy and bread sauce. And pigs in blankets. We left the Christmas pudding and will have it tomorrow!
4) Bigger son went out at 3 and smaller son went back to bed so I took the opportunity to do all the washing up, a load of washing, took the Christmas cards down (they keep falling down), hoovered and steamed the floors downstairs. Looks festive but nice and clean now.
5) Watched Ghosts, which was very good.
6) We had part baked rolls for tea with chicken, stuffing and mango chutney then a mince pie.8 -

Good morning
I hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday. This time of year can be very sad, stirring up poignant memories, but I do hope we all found some pleasures and some peace during the day.
Our day went smoothly.
Drinks at the NDN's with other neighbours late morning then round to D D's for lunch.
A day filled with friendly chat, good food, a silly game and excellent company all around! Oh and some excellent presents!
Today we go to DS for tea. Feel sure it will be a bit livelier with 3 DGC but we will love it.
I feel so lucky and so blessed. So many OS pleasures!
Happy Boxing Day everyone
