Oh no Lainey. That is so annoying. Fingers crossed it goes as quickly as it came, and doesn't spoil all your plans x8

Take care Lainey x
Just came up to bed with a hot water bottle. Let the fire burn out and then headed up. I’m trying to recoup some of the horrendous gas charges last week when I needed to have heating on more. So if I can avoid having heating on I shall. It’s easier this week as it’s a tad milder and it’s just me at home.Anyway it’s been a dull and damp and windy day here. We got rather soaked on the doggy walks.Bit more decorating today. More tomorrow at the other end of the room. It’s absolutely not a huge room and double bed takes up a lot of room so had to humph it back into place today and then will do opposite end tomorrow. The paint dried nicely.Went to supermarket for masking tape this morning and came home with 2 standard holly bushes which were very RTC and I’d seen them yesterday, so also bought a big bag of dog food and some treats for his Christmas as I had a voucher to use with a minimum spend. Had a laugh with another customer as I was adding up out loud and hadn’t realised she was behind me!Chat with sister this afternoon and chat with friend this evening. Oh and a chat with the sun seeker this morning😎9 -
Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Went to the next village early on for the charity shop (nothing doing there) and for more eggs.
3) Made a second batch of lemon curd.
4) Looked in the fridge and made one large pot of carrot and lentil soup, then a large pot of parsnip. Also blanched one bag of Brussel sprouts for the freezer.
5) Changed 2 beds and cleaned the bathroom.
6) Some little Christmas tree ornaments arrived (from Etsy) and I liked them so much I ordered 5 more! If they come in time that will be great, or I will save them as presents for next year.
7) Took smaller son to McDonalds and Sainsburys.
8) Bigger son came home and had a bowlful of the carrot soup!
9) In bed now with 1hwb and will watch television.

Suffolksue - I'm NHS in a profession with very little private work and would have to travel a long way to get the same job in another trust.
1. Passed my basic life support training at work.
2. Christmas lunch at work. It was nice for £5 and a cracker.
3. No drama at work thankfully.
4. DH brought mussels home for tea.
5. An early night.

Thanks very much all,
For yesterday,
Much the same as the previous three days except we had the added pleasure of no water, apparently there had been a main pipe disruption and it knocked out several villages, good bit was we do keep a couple of bottles for Justin so could at least have a hot drink.
Food in the cupboards and freezer although appetite has been poor.
The company of small dog, she seems to be glued to my side at the moment.9 -
Hello.A quiet Thursday. Apart from doggy walks stayed at home.
Fire on for most of the day. Downstairs warm & I’ve just brought a hot water bottle upstairs…though I’m still feeling warm.I’m usually awake about 5am and let the dog out/ feed him then. So I refilled my hot water bottle then instead of putting the heating on this morning.Lovely chat with DD1 this morning.Hoovered and washed floors ( then had to re-wash after doggy walk this afternoon…a tad muddy.)
Cleaned downstairs loo. Re-filled dog food tub. Recycling out. Potter. Potter.
Tidied out at my front door. A lot of bedding plants were having their last hurrah when the severe frost got them. So a few chucked in the garden bin. Some very Rtc primrose and cyclamen planted and my two new RTC holly bush plants made it look a bit tidier. Rain stopped play but got back out to finish.
Did a bit more painting…just a bit. I’m bored now. Just want it to be all done.8 -
