For yesterday,
Up early and a spot of plant watering in me PJ’s.
Not a pleasure as just after brekkie I got the horrible wriggly worms in my eyesight so quickly retired to bed with painkillers in the hope of staving off the oncoming migraine. Woke up a few hours later headache free which was lovely.
Late lunch and easy as the gammon already cooked, we had it with salad followed by summer pudding & clotted cream.
Quiet afternoon and it got hot again so mixture of sitting in the shade listening to podcasts & snoozing.
Early evening walk with small dog then home to watch Murder in Provence which I’m really enjoying.6 -

Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Rained on and off all day today as well. Managed to get the sheets nearly dry outside.
3) Posted an 18th birthday present to my friend's daughter.
4) House quite tidy.
5) Took smaller son to Tesco. ETA - a young man walked past who was taller than smaller son. I can't remember this happening before! I mentioned it and there was a lot of straightening up and walking like a peacock! Then we noticed he had a basketball team logo on the back of his hoodie and smaller son said, "Basketball! Well...."8 -
Pleasures for Monday
1. Lovely walk with the pup
2. Pup looking cute after being groomed - white and fluffy - not sure how long she will stay like that.
3. Some good buys at the charity shop - a Mantaray cotton t/shirt and a bread bag
4. Bacon and Mushroom Risotto for tea - using up bits from the fridge.
5. Hopefully sorting out my gas bill, appears they have not charged me since new meter was fitted last year, although dd has been going out and account showing very much in credit.7 -
I crashed out last night ( as per the night before! ) 😴😴😴
Busy day at work. Good tips. Good company! Good that it’s done!A day of chattering! A friend was going past in the morning and knocked on work window to see how doggy was…chattered about more than the dog! Then was dropping something off for someone later and just five minutes turned into about forty five!Nipped home mid morning to see doggy and then DD2 friend came to see him in the early afternoon so he wasn’t left too long. He’s fine and doing really well all things considered. When I think hiw he was this time last week.Had a shower and then completely zonked, woke up long enough to go and check we were all locked up ( we were) and back to bed!Stunning sunrise this morning! Just before my alarm was going off if I hadn’t woken when I did I’d have missed it.Have a lovely day.7 -
Good morning. Bit grey here.
S Sue - good to see you. I know what you mean about airlessness. It's been very close recently. Hope you feel a bit better once it gets fresher. We've still not had any rain to mention here.
Had a lovely Sunday morning at a petting farm/play area with DS and DGD (2). She happily stroked sheep, donkeys, ponies but wouldn't go anywhere near a very tiny, very pretty baby rabbit!
Went to McD's for lunch. A very restricted menu. Only one sort of burger, and many other items missing. Supply chain problems ( as the saying goes!).
Last yoga before a break for re-surfacing hall floor/ holidays. Took me a while to get into a regular pattern this year and now there's a break!. Back in Sept.
Big pleasure. Holiday insurance sorted!. Many hours listening to 'music' on hold but got there eventually.
Happy Tuesday everyone8 -
Thanks PPete yes to all of those, herbal teas only after midday, lavender temple salves etc, don’t get many now and have learnt to head to bed as soon as one threatens! For yesterday,
Horsey town for provisions, it felt cooler and more comfortable to be out so had a little wander around the CShops but nothing caught my eye.
Made a loaf and did a house tidy.
Arrangements made to meet up with DSIL next week and then middle niece texted to ask if fancied lunch on Wednesday, lovely.
Errands completed, pet store for dog food, equine store for new haynets and a petrol top up, prices gone down slightly.
Fish for tea, followed by melon & yoghurt.

Hello.
woke before the alarm clock this morning and what a stunning sunrise. I’d have missed it.Quick doggy walk. Because that’s all that’s allowed.
Work. Job 2 …I am counting down the shifts left. Got the very last free parking space even though I was early. And parallel parked atrociously 😳Nipped home for an hour and a half. They’ve cut part of what I was doing out ( suits me) and I could have stayed and been paid but bored or come home, say hello doggy, hoover upstairs and downstairs, bring in a washing and be happy. Back down and got a space bit further back. ( parked fine! )
And then home again. C’mon doggy we are going to granny’s. And round we went. Update on declutter thread.
Home.Had a very nice dinner with steak pie, roasted leftover from work potatoes , parsnips from my parsnip mountain in the freezer, sprouts ( real food) peas and broccoli. Was absolutely stuffed. I’ve not been eating particularly well past couple of months. So was nice to have a nice dinner. Then walked back to mums and did a bit in the garden. It’s been a lovely day here. Nice walk back.Chat to son on phone.8 -
