And the ginormous working day is done! Started at 4.30am.
Very quick doggy walk before I went in. Just starting to get light.
Nipped home for 20 minutes just because I could! A very small break in a long day.
Tips were okay. Home briefly. Then back out to prep for a new to me job. I start on Tuesday. Will be working 6 days a week throughout summer…ya know because I’ve got nothing better to do just now😆😆😆
Snuggles with my doggy boy. He went to the beach today…I know the cheek…without me!
1 I pondered around the garden, dead heading, tidying out
and re filling the water troughs, cussing a lot at the squirrels who have had
my mini sunflowers that “were beautiful”. Created a new hanging basket. Ended
up ordering watering pot idea as my home-made versions of all sorts haven’t
worked at all.
2 Hair pack, face pack, neon nails, I at least feel
presentable.
3 Easy from the freezer food tonight, chicken pieces and
pizza slices.
4 About to finish a book, I don’t want it to finish.
An early morning wander around the garden with the first cuppa of the day.
Bacon butties and catching up on all things Ambridge.
Rest of the morning was spent in the garden, weeding and sorting out the beds, planting up another pot of salad leaves, tying up the clematis and generally pootling about.
Chicken for lunch, followed by lemon tart and then a lazy afternoon, listening to the cricket and reading our books.
Evening walk with small dog, looks like there are two young kestrels as they were flying between trees, screeching for food.

Rubbish sleep as per usual. Hey ho! Even though I’m cream crackered I still don’t sleep well. anyway time spent with doggy boy before I went to work.
Good company. Much banter and joshing and chatting.
Good enough tips.
Bought a very RTC plant not what it said on the till. I’ve just googled it and it ain’t that! Anyway it was cheap, just needed a good drink and is pretty.
And washing dried outside though it must have had several ‘ rinses’ but very blowy so all dry now.
A wonderful, relaxing dog walk early this morning. Dog poked around in the ditch again but stuck to the dry stretch. We walked down to the river and sat on the bank gazing out at the river slipping by and the clouds of damsel flies fluttering above the water.
Another good library book for an after lunch reading session.
Good bit of decluttering done including getting rid of a number of vintage spices.
Chat with a friend sharing photos of narrow-bordered bee moth (mine) and various damsel flies (hers).
Delicious lunch of parmesan chicken and various veg cooked in the airfryer - a gift from DD2.
I forgot to do my OS pleasures yesterday, but as it was a pretty frustrating day with a covid scare meaning all plans were cancelled it was probably for the best!
Today's OS pleasures -
1. Finished my book in bed this morning with a cup of coffee
2. Nice chat with my mum on the phone talking about our upcoming family holiday. And I'm being given the double room to myself - yes!
3. Got all my washing dried on the line and put away.
4. Had lots of fun catching up on threads I follow on MSE forum.
5. Lovely dog walk along the river this evening.
