Hope you and your son are better swiftly, Nargleblast. When we had it (me, smaller son, my siblings and my parents), my parents tested negative throughout, despite living with my brother (positive) and having exactly the same symptoms as everyone else!
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Good to get up, after having the cat fall off the bed onto the floor (twice) and lean/sit on my head several times. He is still lethargic today and, after 10 years of being an outside cat, just pops out on the front with me then runs swiftly back inside and goes back to sleep.
2) Went into floody city and posted my eBay sales. Then went round charity shops but didn't find anything.
3) Went to Waitrose for a pot of tea and bought a special breakfast ready for the last GCSE tomorrow.
4) Picked smaller son up at 12. College have done absolutely nothing towards sorting him something to do post GCSEs (until the end of term) though they are supposed to, as it is a special school. Smaller son says he is not going after tomorrow. I can't say I am going to battle to make him go. I am glad this part of his education (such as it has been, over the years) is at an end.
5) Spent ages weeding the garden, cutting stuff back and watering. Even watered the strip of garden by the road, which means carrying several watering cans full right round the house.
6) Cleaned the windows and the bathroom.
7) Smaller son has asked if I will watch the football with him later so we will take a fan downstairs and have a pot of tea to watch that.
8) Will watch DIY SOS later.

For yesterday,
At the stables and worked the pony, we both got warm so cooled her with a hose down afterwards, above us the honey buzzards were having aerial battles with the rooks.
Her supplement came in the post and the seller enclosed a chocolate bar, nice little surprise and shared with Capt S.
Out to the farm shop, getting warm in the sunshine.
New to me recipe for tea, pork kebabs, very tasty.
Enjoyed the cricket highlights although we were kinda hoping that the 3rd test we have tickets for would be the decider, oh well. Flicked over to footie but less said about that the better, then watched the 2nd episode of Sherwood which we are enjoying.

Note the size of the Toe Nail Onions!
Served with fresh sticky long grain rice, not that bashmati carp, which is actually long gain renamed to make you pay moor!
Then we watched the last Bond No Time to Die Again very good and back two how Ian would had done it. The ones with the Dame as M were not in the style. Please note the river stream has stopped doing this on the sub service! We watched all of them!

Admiral, my son and I watched all the Bond films a while ago, from Dr No right through to No Time To Die. We loved the Daniel Craig series, and were stunned at the final ending. Brilliant writing, and all the different Bond actors did well in their own style. One life - your life - live it!9

(Sunny) morning all
Nargle and Frith, belated hugs to you and yours for your sad news.
Healing thoughts to those who are poorly or recovering.
Here goes with a handful of recent pleasures:
1. Have had a spate of finishing - that eternal second sock is done and put away (bit too warm for this weather). Really glad to see the end of it!
2. Finished a couple of books and audiobooks. Started more.
3. Made an end-of-vegetable, tin of chick peas, stock cube, cumin and corriander blitzed soup yesterday - turned out way better than I'd expected. Will make it again. There's enough for lunch today.
4. Supportive phone calls with DSs and my best friend.
5. Wild Justice fundraised enough in 24 hours to take out a legal challenge against Ofwat about the state of our rivers. Living near one that is badly polluted, WJ's action feels like a positive pleasure right now.
Have lovely Wednesdays,

Pleasures today.
Slowly getting voice back, can go slightly higher up the scales than before.
Warm sunshine, virtually no wind, always a nice combination.
Pottering about the garden, pruning this and that.
Counting at least 7 baby plums on the tree.
Wholefoods parcel arrived, I was able to make my bedtime tea blend (camomile, cardamom, ashwaganda) which I shall test tonight.
Still negative for Covid. Son just getting a faint positive line and feeling much better.
Lunch using up various leftovers. Chilli con carne, rice, garlicky bread, avocado, curried baked beans, creme fraiche, grated cheese, fresh coriander, tortilla chips. Caramel and vanilla ice cream with banana for afters. Lager shandy and real black coffee. That should do us for several hours.
The aforementioned lunch eaten outside on the patio (son had his in dining room).
