Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep. The injured cat slept through the night on my bedroom floor, on a towel/bathmat combo.
2) Made 2 nice eBay sales.
3) My brother strimmed the long grass around the allotment.
4) Lost 5lbs.
5) Made a batch of tomato sauce for 2 dinnertimes.
6) Managed to get a vets appointment at 3. The other lady in the waiting room looked confused when I put the cat's YouTube video on for him!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbs7FT7dXYc
There are dozens of scratches and 2 good bites. He had a dose of antibiotics and just has painkillers now.
7) In bed and will watch Springwatch in a minute.
Here is Barry, watching his video!

I’ve just came to bed and it’s actually rather chilly! Which is ridiculous as it’s June!Up early and out with doggy in the drizzle. Much sniffing done.
In at work and had lots to catch up on.Home for a bit mid morning. Spent time with my doggy.Busy shift, a bit crazy at times.Decent tips.Chattered to a couple of customers. And home…wee, dinner, cuddles. In that order, dog not me 😀
DD2 kindly drove me to supermarket so I could see if there were any RTC flowers . There were loads! I’ve had so many flowers past few weeks and having sorted them all earlier was down to one vase full. So I’m all topped up again.I think the whole mum thinking just starting to hit me. Oooft! And the whole coming home from work on a Monday and usually phoning her once I was in and settled. And then the whole Tuesday thing of finding her gone. Tonight when I came in I listened to her last voicemail just to hear her ( it’s not an easy listen, she needed me and I didn’t get the message till it was too late. Oooft. And it’s my boys birthday and he’s arrived at his destination after being delayed by flights yesterday. White water rafting in Europe. Anyway I had a bit of cake at work to celebrate 🎉10 -
((Hugs)) Mhags
For yesterday,
Bright sunshine, headed into horsey town and had a wander around the CS’s, picked up a summery tablecloth for the garden table plus a couple of books.
At the yard and time spent with the beautiful grey one.
Home and my beloved had made me a salad bowl, just needed to add my protein.
Back out and met a friend for a cuppa & a catch up.
Salmon burgers for tea, watched the test match highlights then Springwatch, laughing at CP blowing bubbles.10 -
VSA.Victory in the South Atlantic.Forty years ago the Falkland Isles were retaken. During that campaign, some were laid in a far away land. My Comrade in arms, Steve Marks lost his brother on Sir Galahad just days before the end. I worked with some that had served in the South Atlantic, some of who I worked with would suddenly have to do it again in the First Gulf war. Those amongst us some never did grow old!Lest we forget.XM 607 did Black Buck 1 mission 30th April/May 1st 1982. Photo taken some time after this at RAF Waddington in 1982.For Skid! GRDSMN Marks. Fallen 1982.I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!9

PM2SS. Don’t rely on the tracking search engine Google to read up on matters of the heart. I’m in a Facebook group that is very good in support, though only dip in and out occasionally. It has lots of good folk, just like the Admiral!

Pleasures......
Fine and warm during dog walking, dog full of joy at finding bits of tree branch. She does love a good sturdy stick to play with.
The grass in the park getting long and absolutely covered in millions of daisies and buttercups.
Tasty bit of rump steak for lunch, served with fried egg, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and chips. Strawberries with creme fraiche and a drizzle of home made lemon curd for afters.
Son who tested positive for Covid Saturday now finding the little red line is very faint, compared with how it was originally. He feels much better so we are hoping it's on its way out. I still test negative, and my symptoms are starting to turn a corner. Thank goodness that for many people nowadays a positive test is an uncomfortable inconvenience, whereas two years ago it would have been very frightening. (Of course, we still can't be complacent. Some people still become very ill with it, and some still die.)
Trying out a new laundry ecoegg to replace laundry detergent. Done two loads, results good so far.
