sleep tight.I wanna be in the room where it happens8 -
good news on the wheeled walker mhags
welcome back vjsmum the walk sounds fab
and welcome back to the EFL admiral bit nail biting when it went so deep into ET
1) glorious sunshine, lovely walk to the cathedral in a summery dress - 12 pounds lighter and it fits again hooray
2) shared lunch after wonderful service led by the bish all in red - one of our congregation is a cake-decorator and did us proud
3) coffee with mum in stone of water then bus home
4) said farewell to son and gf, walked dogs, welcomed dd2 back from guide camp, long phone call from gbf during which i walked down to pub, got tv put on for wales match and watched the first 20 mins. gbf is welsh but not a footie fan 😮 (and yet we still get on) finally got to the bar just as DrM arrived so I got him one too
5) good game. MrG has a virus so just us 2. 😎 then home to our respective homes for supper and the Outlaws which we both love

For yesterday,
Lovely long bath whilst reading my book.
So many baby birds in the garden, woodpeckers on the peanut feeder and juvenile great t*ts taking a wobbly first flight between the nest in the nearest beech tree and our shed.
Tasty lunch, lemon & thyme chicken with new pots and greens, followed by summer pudding and cream.
Watched the footie, well done to Wales and also to Pirate Pete who can’t have any nails left.
Cricket highlights, ooh Mr Root, then an old Vera to finish off our very lazy Jubilee weekend.7 -
No Power inn Steering!
Peacocks!
Another Snoozette!
Marking Marathon! Is that a Snicker today!
And a cake!Extra Time, Again!
Thinks I can talk footie to Friths again after that tin pot cup exit!
We did the dainty crab sandwiches and cakes, with chocolates for the sarnie stand prior to the big match. Then went through another full two hours of ... Jen survived as well! Kitty when we gets the extra aero balls out for the tand, fort it was her treats! So I has to get her treats out as well! Only jumped outs ofs me chair twice with good words.
PM2DD. We is back!
Then we watched Wales end their game. Justice at last for them. Note: The admiral will not bee supporting nhem for some reason soon!
Then gets back down to earth quite chuffed!
We watched another Bond. Casino Royale. Wobbleades were well needed and cheese taken. Very good as it got back to moor lick the Fleming character. For moor to see now on the river stream!
Up this morn and it must be good as the result still stands!
Jen is give inn it max!
Keep your chin up!I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!9 -
I spy a decent quiche and pav. there too, dd.😋
Quite some step up from our teas+coffees.😁
1. ....but squidgy-looking little cupcakes with v.unprofessional icing+red, white, blue nonpareils were luscious carrot+pecan. & politely managed 2. 😉😄
2. Despite, despite, despite The Weather, lovely times after morning jubilee Thanksgiving, prior to simpler afternoon village hall one👏, (without morning's recent incomer MeMe takeover merchant😬😖🤐.....) Arrived to be told to make Flower Crown, so over to marquee(post passim) and eventual parade.👸🤴😁 A simple, happy, non-stop terrific time, with lots of families, chat, 'liquid refreshment', constant birdsong, skylarks particularly, and pleasant-to-be-in rain.
3. .....& and others shouting for Rafa, via R5L on our phones🤩😍👏💪 Left for next service and waited in car 'til 6-3, 6-3..... Turned phone OFF. Good girl, &! Did the big Pentecost reading. Service over=phone on, 6-0!
💥❤👏❤👏❤💥
4. Onto next mtg. Where was everyone? Cancelled apparently, but nothing heard, just wet weather assumptions made. So to The Alma, first time since forever and such wonderful greetings+catchup with D, M and both wee boys. Younger not known in rl, seen only in 2020 birth pics! Fabulous family now, which D never expected. Good merlot and onion rings😇🥰, just for old times' sake, of course.😁
5. So many osps are omitted in &'s rambling on-a-roll way. Earlier msg meant unreliable person is back at last, at least for today, so no food hub run and this post done from lazy bed. Much else to do. Gird up &. Shift log stack. Dig that 17-potato trench. Load trailer again. GO.....tothedump/tothedump/tothedumpdumpdump.

OH (the Rusty Iron supporter) says congratulations to Admiral’s team “much deserved”.
Lovely to hear about the jubilee celebrations 👑
Well done Rafa 🎾We are having a fantastic holiday. Beautiful sunny ☀️ days, swimming in the sea, lunch on the beach, luscious Greek food such as stiffado and keftiko while enjoying fantastic sunsets 🌅
Won’t bore you with too much detail 😊
Happy days to all.9 -
Hello and big worky day number two is done! Hurrah ( though I do have other catering events this week)
Woke early and saw the most stunning sunrise.Quick doggy walk.Sorted out all my flowers. Chucked the lilies out! I came into living room this morning & the scent was just too overbearing.Watered indoor plants and then hosed outside.
Walked to work…first time in a while! Usually have to nip home to see to doggy but DD1 was here so she could deal with him.Work was okay…the difference of working with grown ups was palpable! Hugs and the just cry as I would go oh I’m going to cry! And decent tips!DD1 had walked down to get me and we walked home together. It’s been a nice sunny day but slightly clouded over now and pleasantly cooler.DD1 made Quorn fajitas for tea but oooft a bit spicy for me!Shower and jammies on ( feels like an almost normal Monday night!)
Came home to a lovely gift from mums next door neighbour. So much kindness around me which I appreciate.11 -
That does look nice, PaulieHerts.
Hope SuffolkSue is OK today.
Quite busy today!
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Smaller son went to college. Maths GCSE paper 2 tomorrow...
3) Put 3 pieces of clothing on Ebay. I always find it a tedious job so let's hope they sell well.
4) Cleaned - stairs, floors, a few windows, bit of dusting, 2 loads of washing, bathroom.
5) Phoned the vet and popped in there later on to borrow a cat basket. Barry will be half the man he used to be, if I can catch him... he needs it to stop him from fighting.
6) Lost a pound.
7) Had a cup of tea in M and S and went to Sainsburys briefly. Used my 5p off a litre voucher. £66 now to fill the car with petrol.
8) College things. Phoned County - literally everyone in the SEND department is on holiday for days. Left (another) message. Phoned SENDIASS (helpline) but smaller son's paperwork is in such a mess that they struggled to help. Phoned the SEND helpline (yet another part of County) but they could see son's files onscreen but not access them! The letter stating what is going on and how to appeal has never actually been sent to me... this is a good thing when it comes to tribunal as it is another piece of extreme incompetency.
Phoned the potential new college twice but no answer so I'm guessing they have an extra day of half term. Then got annoyed and phoned smaller son's old solicitor (from trying to get him a school place 2 years ago) and she is checking that she can take him on again without my having to start at the beginning with legal aid etc. She is checking with her supervisor so hopefully will phone me back.
Because County broke their own deadline (31st March), I don't have a named college for smaller son. Until that happens, I can't appeal for the college I want. The system is such that I only have a very limited time to appeal. But I can't appeal...Even if we went to tribunal today (and it'll take at least a few weeks) SO MANY people are taking County to tribunal that there is a 5 months waiting list. So no school for smaller son until next year.
9) Also did loads of tiny admin jobs like downloading the new railcard app/getting a Sparks card (as I keep having a pot of tea there)/completed YouGov surveys etc.
10) Will watch a double bill of Hunted this evening.

Evening all.
Pleasures for today
1. waking up to the c o c k crowing and sun shine
2. we went to Osborne House and Carisbrooke castle having joined English Heritage for that purpose. The plan is to do what we want within the year and then cancel. Stonehenge, Boscobel and Dover Castle are on the list for the future.
3. Warm sunshine (although there was a biting wind)
4. afternoon tea with scone, jam and cream
5. OH cooked fish with chorizo, peppers and garlic. With jersey royals. Yummy.
Night allI wanna be in the room where it happens9 -
Frith - frustrating is inadequate. Huge awed respects and hopes that all will work out even if the system makes Escher look a model of logic.SuffolkSue - all the very best with the medics!
ampersand - awe, And you do sometimes stop!VJsmum - Eng Heritage can get addictive (we were with CADW & never bagged All their castles) but I admire the planning!OS Pleasures recentlyTaken for a walk - what are the proprieties of hand feeding a pony in a field grass? Freshly pulled from the other side of the fence, no ragwort? As two ponies came over hopefully & ate from outstretched palms with carefully lipped greed, they had no qualms, but I wasn’t wholly certain of the unspoken rules.Midsomer Murders still enchanting…Knitting a mohair mix ball & have a bad feeling it’ll make a short cravat, not a scarf! Satisfying seeing it grow though. [then ran out of wool!]The fat quarters I was going to make face masks from I am now going to patch into a duvet cover. Himself’s wardrobe is safe from my shears - none of it would make a duvet cover & I can be engulfed in it cosily if I choose! If Middleson is using the wedding photo album to prop his kayak paddles on as some glue dries, I may Have Words (then roar with laughter) [lovely - an instant of guilt & a quick glance “all well though”, he does make me laugh as well as snarl]Wales through! Excellent. Alas for Ukraine but it is football. (On rugby I offer no kindness - I am ruthlessly a supporter of Wales!)HM on the balcony with the next generations, brilliantly displayed. I think the monarchy is looking good for a bit longer. (Louis just glinting cute. I can't see his future being wholly bright & happy but o what a day!) What a whoop, when she was seen!Being taken on a walk & managing the uphill without gasping. Panting, yes, but not gasping! One son had the shower set up ready for him, but made me a cup of tea first!Cousin in the process of moving out of the family home (divorce at wife's request) & dismayed at the virtuous reading he hasn't got round to. He needs an appreciative charity shop, desperately! (Or my lads & a skip. They were Merciless.)Ye gods the team meeting word has gone nova & I have messages of condolence from the greatest in our work area. This isn’t quite how I wanted to come to their attention but if it helps get more blood donors, I’ll stand there & smile bravely. Was taken for a walk, surprised by an apple (as were the ponies, quite as happily) & then tripped on the path home. “You’ve got muddy knees, mother” is surely not a reason not to take phone snaps?Son has batch cooked a tank of bolognese, but I am to dish up. Not sure how many chaps he planned to feed but it tastes Wonderful. Phew, husband’s training lives on!Health strength love & courage to all as have need. Plus if you could bring yourself to donate a unit, or restart the habit, it makes Such a difference to the recipients. Funeral director tomorrow, ugh.10
