Sue take care and you’ll hopefully be feeling much better soon x
A busy day.
Woke at 4.10am and watched the most beautiful sunrise.Managed to doze off again.Went round to mums. Today hasn’t been a great day, very teary. Declutter update done.Had a work meeting at a clients home, stunning garden. Dropped lots of things off in a loop round town whilst I was out.Home for a wee while, reclined on garden sofa for a bit then postie came and dog barked and I was melting so came inside. We’ve had such glorious weather. Then back to work for a private function. The most inspiring people were there and such a lovely group of people.Home! Hurrah! It’s been a long day…but I’d to call a friend and popping down tomorrow then door went and it was a friend who was dropping something off she’d forgotten earlier. She took a box of stuff from mums. Quick chat with her ( she’d already been and chatted with girls when I was at work)
And finally bed!10 -
Evening all
Good luck, SSue. Will be thinking of you.
Big virtual hugs, Mhags.
Frith, glad the GCSE went well.
Five little pleasures for today:
1. Forgot to have breakfast so had porridge as a second supper.(I was still hungry.)
2. Watched a half-hour youtube film about walking and camping in the Lake District. Lovely distraction. It was like a mini-break.
3. The pear tree in the garden is covered in tiny fruit.
4. Got my accounts up to date and recalculated my money plans for the next few months - a pleasure because I got it done!
5. Another hwb. Worked a treat last night.
Sweet dreams

For yesterday,
A warm, sunny day, three loads of washing down and dried on line.
Spent the morning with my beautiful horse, I set up a grid work of poles in the school and we had great fun, even had a little jump which isn’t her forte but she does find it very exciting.
Homegrown salad leaves for lunch.
Fed our tomatoes as the first flowers have appeared, more flowers on the sweet peas and the climbing rose is bursting into colour.
A much warmer evening so the bats were out, I love a late night wander around the garden.9 -

all the best ssue
hugs to all, neighbour's husband just died, so much sadness. in some ways puts work into proportion, but noone seems to have told work that! however
1) very good meeting first thing bringing two admin leads together and giving them agency
2) an afternoon with the prof doc students starting with buffet lunch - this is our 4th year and the first year we've incorporated a 'conference' bit with chances for the 4th years to present their work so far - we did it hybrid and I voted myself as the link person in the room with the online participants - went very well though we forgot to use the roving mike, note for next time!
3) session introduced by our VP Research - he wasn't able to stay whole afternoon but I cheekily followed him out to 'thank' him and to ask if he'd like to come to present to the distance learning forum, prefacing with 'the Principal has already said yes'. Result
4) joined the students and some staff for pizza after and took home the left over fruit - fancy me taking an empty tupperware ;-)
5) then stayed at work till time to go to mennies for the England match with MrG, MrE and DrM - don't think the penalty went down well with my German friend! (dd2 home so dogs well cared for)MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
