Just butting in, as I am quite saddened that some internet curled up couch drivers saw fit to criticise or make fun of my former comrades in arms, some suffering from PTSD, delivering vital aid to Ukraine.

4. out for a curry with friends last night.
5. back and ploughing through the marking. On schedule for completion by Friday (excepting a few strays that will come in after then).

Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Went to an open garden event that turned out to be run by the mum of someone I was at sixth form college with. Had a chat with her. I knew he had been to boarding school but I bought a cup of tea from his dad and he was so incredibly posh he used no consonants and I couldn't understand a word! A lovely garden full of birds, including a woodpecker.
3) Lovely, sunny day here.
4) Smaller son had a trip to Tesco and has been in a good mood.
5) Meatballs for tea.
6) Phoned my school friend.
7) Getting ready to watch Hunted.10 -
My pleasures for today
The team I worked with today always cook a breakfast when they work at day shift on the Sunday - it was delicious.
Good drive to and from work.
Was busy so work went quick
Home for doggy cuddles and being greeted at the door.
Half price hanging basket looks good by the front door.9 -
1) after church went for lunch with someone I haven't seen for yonks - she's moved in quite close and had a couple of other friends up from Edinburgh - yummy lunch and lovely to catch up
2) she's just turned 70 and still has the present I gave her for her 60th on her dresser shelf - her name's Penny and I put '60 uses for an old penny' on slips of paper into an old jam jar - a very mse present and her fave present ever (and I think I asked for ideas on this site)
3) fascinating talk with the gentleman - he's a retired educational psychologist and does some work with the RCS on dyslexic surgeons - maybe we can do a project together at some time
4) then the pub for a very exciting end to the premiership with DrM et al
5) chat's after and DrM said he'd have come to Wembley with me if Luton had made it to the final so doubly sad they didn't.

For yesterday,
Didnt feel that great so lovely to just have a day at home with Capt S.
Time spent in the garden, tied in the sweetpeas, cut back some suckers on the climbing rose and generally pottered, beloved cut the grass.
Made a batch of cheese scones, some for fresh and others for the freezer.
Very exciting end to the PL and for once beloved’s team managed not to shoot themselves in the foot, CL here they come.
Reading and catching up with the Archers.10
